For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for over a year now, and never in all my years have I experienced chronic yeast infections like I have with this pill. Not only that, but I still have really bad hormonal acne. I have read up on the reasons birth control can cause yeast infections, and my doctor is very aware of it the whole time. Tomorrow I have my one-year appointment, hoping to switch to something better. Good news, no pregnancies, so at least that worked."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Tri-Linyah for a few years now, after trying many other pills. On this pill, my acne has completely cleared up and I have never gotten pregnant, so I'd like to rate it pretty high. On other pills in the past, I had various side effects ranging from bad acne to insane anxiety, but I haven't experienced any of that with this pill. The only reasons I'm not 100% in love with it are that I have gained a noticeable amount of weight since taking it (10 pounds is a lot when you only weigh 115 to begin with) and my periods tend to last around 5 days. I had it down to 2-3 days when I was on Microgestin, so 5 really sucks. It does its job though, so I keep taking it."

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri-Linyah two separate times, and both times I had very bad results. Everyone is different, but for me it gave me breakouts, headaches, nausea, cramps, breasts are super tender, my periods are super painful, and my anxiety and depression have gotten so much worse over the past two months I’ve been back on this pill. It seems like I’m having an anxiety attack almost every night, and I can’t live like this anymore. I’m calling my doctor tomorrow to get it switched to something different. I hope y’all had a better experience than I did. Never going back to this pill ever again!!"

For Acne "I have... Or should I say had clear skin. From time to time, I would have gotten a zit or two. Now, however, I have tiny bumps all over my face due to this birth control. I'm highly disappointed; although my period is much lighter, it doesn't help the fact that my face is breaking out terribly. It's only causing me to be stressed and depressed. I'd rather bleed through tampons."

"I was on so many different birth control pills due to heavy periods and cramps. My doctor told me at 14 I shouldn't be having pains like this. Stopped taking pills for 1 year. At 19 I got pregnant and had a miscarriage. I was so upset due to what happened and went to my doctor and told him to put me on this pill. It has been the best pill yet: no acne, no cramps, shorter periods, and no pregnancy!!! The only thing that happened is I gained like 15 lbs, and I am not happy about that! But then again, you can't have everything! I suggest this pill to every woman there is!"

For Birth Control "Since I've been on this pill, I've had terrible mood swings around my period, the first week of every pack, I feel nauseous and throw up usually once or twice. I have never gotten pregnant, but my boyfriend and I take extra precautions, and lately, I have horrible acne and back pain."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for only about 3 months. I absolutely hate it. I had spotting between each period, my mood was way out of control, and it made me hungry. I was eating everything in sight, even when I was button-popping full, I wanted more. I'd be full, and my stomach would still grumble. I gained 15 pounds on this even though I'm pretty active and go to the gym 3-4 times a week. Every time I was on the placebo pills, I swear I'd lose 5 pounds immediately, within two days. I have been off of it for 2 weeks now, and I feel like I eat normally again. It also gave me really bad acne. I was blessed with very good skin and barely got pimples. My forehead and chin are now covered in acne because of this birth control."

For Acne "Took Tri-Linyah for 3 years (about 5 years ago). The reason I took it was only to clear my skin! After I stopped using it, my skin was the worst it’s ever been. I had breakouts all over my face as well as my neck and jawline. I didn’t want to go back on birth control, thinking that was the root cause. For three years, I tried to clear my skin by eating healthier, trying out different skin care brands/products, getting prescription creams, or going more natural (no makeup). Generally, a lot of research was done. In the end, nothing worked. Every time my period came around, all my efforts to keep my skin clear disappeared. The hormonal acne was no joke. I realized nothing would work because my natural body was out of balance. I decided to go back on birth control after trying out a different prescribed cream. Currently, it’s been two weeks since I started the cream and one week since I started taking birth control. My skin is clearing up fast, besides the ones on my jawline."

For Endometriosis "Pros: Before Tri-Linyah, my period was super irregular, to the point that the shortest time between periods was 2 weeks and the longest was a little over 2 months. With this birth control, my period comes exactly every 28 days. I also had hormonal acne before taking this pill, but since being on it, the only time I break out is the week before my period, but nothing bad, just your normal pimple. I am thankful that I get 3 months' worth before I need to go refill again. Cons: I get super emotional, but it’s whatever. The worst is that I get really intense cravings and I ended up gaining weight."

For Acne "I have been taking Tri-Linyah for a few months. Prior to this pill, I had completely clear skin and horrible periods! Now it's the opposite, my face is covered in acne, but my periods are amazing. I'm kind of disappointed about the fact I have to choose clear skin over painless periods."

For Acne "I have been taking Tri-Linyah for a year now. When I first started the pill, I threw up the first few days (which is to be expected), and the following few months, I had terrible acne. I knew that it would take around six months for my body to adjust, so I gave it time, and I’m so glad I did. The acne slowly became less and less, and now it’s very rare that I ever have a breakout. It keeps my skin under control very well. Also, my period is much more bearable, and I know the exact day that it comes now. My only complaint is that I still have very awful cramps the first and second day of my period. But it’s controlled everything else, and I haven’t gotten pregnant! So it’s a win in my book. Don’t give up on it :)"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've switched between different generic versions of Ortho Tri-Cyclen, and this is not my favorite. I have terrible cystic acne, and it did help a lot with that. But it did nothing at all for my periods. My periods without birth control caused me to be in a haze, nausea, vomiting, terrible cramping, and heavy bleeding. With Tri-Linyah, it was mostly the same! The other generic pills I tried at least eased my periods so that they were bearable. On Tri-Linyah, I also didn't know what to expect, some periods would be longer, start at different times, or be lighter/heavier. I'm not sure how different generic medications of the same type can really be, but I noticed this one was definitely different."

For Acne "I have been on this pill, Tri-Linyah, for almost 3 months, but no longer because I could not bear it. The side effects I had were I went from no acne to moderate acne, keeping the same exact skin routine and diet. My period was also heavier. At least it didn’t cause water retention."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking it so far for about 4 months, and it’s been doing really good for regulating my periods and making my cramps less painful. I have started to get really bad cystic acne, though, that progressively gets worse as time goes by ever since I’ve been on it, which is kind of weird because, if anything, it should be doing the opposite."

For Acne "I just started taking this. I am now on week 4, and it is bittersweet so far. My period has been abnormal (about 2 years without a period), and my doc prescribed this pill to me. It's 'sweet' because I got my period. Not too light and not too heavy. However, there are a lot of 'bitter' sides. For 1 week, I felt really nauseous. Also, I barely had acne on my face before, but after taking these pills, I developed small acne all over. It looks like chickenpox all over my face. I will continue to try this for 2 more months. If the problems persist, I'm going to ask the doc to prescribe me something else."
