For Birth Control "It's almost been 1 month of taking this birth control. At first, I was experiencing nausea for 5 days, then it went away. I have noticed weight gain, and I am constantly bloated! I've taken anti-bloat meds, but nothing seems to help. I work out and eat super healthy, and the bloat sticks, and the weight can stick also! I am thinking of dropping this birth control."

For Birth Control "I've been on Mononessa for about 5 months now, and I don't have any serious issues. When I first began taking it, I did experience some nausea that went away after a week. I figure it was just my body getting used to it since this is my first time using birth control. I have suspected slight moodiness/sensitivity, but nothing too extreme."

For Birth Control "In the beginning, this contraceptive made me nauseated every single day, which was irritating. I did spot more than normal in the first month or two, however, I am now 18 months in and like it very much. I don't have nearly as many crazy mood swings on this pill as I have on others, and it seems to be a very effective contraceptive (even if I forget to take it and have to play catch-up every once in a while). However, since I've been on it, I have experienced yeast infections and urinary tract infections much more often than usual, but I'm unsure if that is the pill or a change in sexual habits. All in all, not pregnant, so thumbs up."

For Birth Control "I didn't last a full week with this prescription, despite the fact that I was given three months' worth. Within just a period of a couple of days, I was nauseous, dizzy, it gave me diarrhea, and it made me irritable and tired. I was so sick to my stomach that even though food smelled good, it instantly made me sick to my stomach. Too high dosage for me."

For Birth Control "The first week of taking this pill, I experienced nausea EVERY SINGLE DAY directly after taking the pill. It got a little worse while I was driving, which didn't help since I already had car sickness problems. After that, though, it went away. The first time I got my period with it was a few days after the placebo pills, and so far, it's basically just spotting. Hope this is normal because I am sexually active."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this medicine for about a month and a half. It honestly has worked great. My period was lighter, although it was a little longer. My acne has been clearing up. Also, my sex drive never went down, so that's awesome. When I first started taking it, I had the same feeling of morning sickness. But it went away and hasn't come back. At times, I will get tender breasts. Also, I don't have mood swings or cry a lot like other people say they do. I am the same as I always have been. Overall, I would say that this is a great medication and highly recommend for you to try!"

For Birth Control "Within a few days of taking the pill, my acne cleared up. On the other hand, I have gained 4 pounds out of nowhere. Feel bloated, nauseated. It's a shame that side effects are so undesirable since it does work for my acne."

For Birth Control "My experience wasn't that bad! When I first started taking the pill, I was very hormonal and nauseous, but once a month or so kicked in, everything was fine. My periods only lasted five days and were always consistent. I did make my acne fade, and I didn't gain any weight, the only sort of bad thing is that my bra size increased by a cup. I've been on it for a year now, and so far so good!"

For Birth Control "I was on this medication a few years ago, and it worked great. I decided to go back on birth control about a month ago. I have been taking it for 23 days. No problems until this week. I am very irritable and extremely nauseated. I don't think this medication is right for me."

For Birth Control "All in all, Mononessa has worked very well. I've been taking it for about a month, I'm just getting into the green-colored tablets. I woke up at 4 am the second day throwing up, but ever since then, I haven't been nauseated. I have pretty bad acne, it hasn't really helped. I was hoping it would. But I haven't been overly emotional (no more than usual, that is), and it seems like my period is going to start right on time. It's great. I tried Yaz before this one, and I spotted for a whole month. Was not going for that. But anyways, yeah, Mononessa's great! Glad I'm taking it now."

For Birth Control "Aside from the horrible nausea I have gotten, this pill is very effective, and the time window is 2 hours, but I have taken it 5 hours later a few times and had no problem. I also have unprotected sex regularly. It cleared my acne after my first month's dose."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm currently on this pill, and it is making me lightheaded, extremely nauseous, fatigued, shaky, sensitive to light and sound, and having trouble breathing, can't eat or drink anything without being completely sick, heart pounding, and diarrhea. Not fun at all."

For Birth Control "Took three months. Bled a whole month straight during, like a medium-flow period. No signs of pregnancy or miscarriage hormones, doctors say. No growths to explain bleeding or abnormalities in my blood test results. I experienced little nausea, headaches, and no swelling."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This was my first time trying birth control, and this one made me feel horrible. Nausea every day and made worse whenever I drive. Cold sweats, and it's around 10 degrees out, so I start shivering, which leads to more sweating. Oh, the mood swings! I feel miserable."

For Ovarian Cysts "I had two large ovarian cysts that were extremely painful and put me in the ER. My Dr. prescribed me Mononessa, and I just finished my first pack. I had an ultrasound today, and one cyst was completely gone, and the other is much smaller. After only 3 weeks on this pill, I haven't experienced the pain from my cysts anymore. The only thing is that for the first week on the pill, I was extremely nauseous. It also seems that as of right now, my acne is almost completely gone."

For Birth Control "I have been using Mononessa for about 2-3 years now, never any problems aside from nausea, and I fixed that by only taking the pill before going to bed. Even taking this at different times of the night, I never had problems with spotting or anything at all. I just got switched to Estarylla because Walgreens doesn't have Mononessa for me anymore. I'm nervous about switching. Every time I have switched pills, something bad happens, so I always revert back to Mononessa. I guess we will see how this switch goes."

For Birth Control "I've been on Mononessa for about 5 years now. I started the pill because of irregular periods and extra protection against pregnancy. The first two to three months, my body was adjusting to the change, which caused nausea and mood swings, but afterwards, I was back to normal. My appetite has gone up, my sex drive has gone down just a bit, but not to the point where I was worried about it. I have clear skin, and my periods are shorter and lighter. By far, the best pill I have been."

For Birth Control "Started taking this pill 14 months ago. First 2 months, I had nausea for a while. Now, I experience mild discomfort the first 2 days or so of taking a new pill pack. Haven't gained weight. Cleared up my acne. Got rid of my bad cramps. Period is heavier, but regular in length."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am a 27 overweight female who has NEVER had a normal period. My period sometimes lasts several weeks. I was prescribed this medication today, a Friday, I took the Friday pill, and within hours, my bleeding completely stopped. There is nausea associated, so I recommend taking it every night so you can sleep through it."

For Birth Control "I have started this about a week ago, and so far it's not been too bad! I did experience nausea if taken on an empty stomach. At the same time, I would experience headaches and dizziness. I have not noticed wanting to eat more than usual, I have noticed not having much of an appetite anymore. Which is a bit odd because I'm always down for food. I would DEFINITELY recommend to make your daily time to take the pill at night around dinner time. It's a little more convenient, so you're not going to work or school having to deal with any side effects."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for 6 years now (I am 19). It has definitely decreased my cramps and pain as that was the original reason I was put on birth control. I work out often, so I don't have to stop running anymore from pain. Now that I've become sexually active, my periods are always on time, so I never worry. My mood is crazy, but at the same time, I have anxiety problems, which I take a low dose of medication for, and I went through middle school-currently college-on this stuff, so I think overall it's not the medication, it's me haha. I have always been very slender. I notice I always bloat and have a little belly that never seems to go away, but it's not a big deal. It can make you nauseous...but the trick is to eat a lot with it."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Mononessa to attempt to get my hormones back in check. As if I wasn't already feeling bad before... boy, did this birth control make me feel even worse! Constant nausea, stomach pains, hot flashes, headaches, insomnia, weight gain, bloated, the only positive it gave me was a lighter period, but it wasn't worth it with all the side effects. Stopped it today, and I can't wait to start feeling better again."

For Birth Control "I started to take Mononessa on the first day of my period and I bled for 3 weeks, got really nauseous for a week, and gained 3 pounds in 3 weeks. I had cramps during it all, and my doc told me to take 800 mg of ibuprofen 3x a day to stop the bleeding. It didn't work. I stopped the pill after the second week because, on top of all the side effects, it made me feel apathetic. Now, at the end of week 3, my bleeding has subsided, and I feel back to normal again."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for a week and one day. I had had irregular periods and extremely heavy blood flow to the point of being hospitalized for being anemic and not able to stand. (Yeah, it wasn't the best experience.) However, two days after taking the pill, my bleeding stopped and all the pain from my period had gone away. However, the nausea was so bad. I vomited every few hours and was really hungry. Luckily, I'm doing much better because my body has finally gotten used to the pill! Don't give up just yet! It'll get better after a while, you just have to give it time!"
