For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "First month went well. Second month I started bleeding, spotting really the second week of active pills. I have now been bleeding for the last month, and I'm tired. I've had all the symptoms of a period: bloated, headache, tired, back pain, restless at night. I didn't have any of these problems when I was not on birth control. I really hate how this pill has made me feel, as well as the all-month bleeding."

For Birth Control "I have been taking it to prevent pregnancy since I had my baby, and so far it's been really good. Hardly any side effects at all. Only thing I don't like is I'm a little more moody and get headaches sometimes, but for having a period every other month now, I'm right on time every month. I recommend it."

For Birth Control "Took three months. Bled a whole month straight during, like a medium-flow period. No signs of pregnancy or miscarriage hormones, doctors say. No growths to explain bleeding or abnormalities in my blood test results. I experienced little nausea, headaches, and no swelling."

For Birth Control "I have started this about a week ago, and so far it's not been too bad! I did experience nausea if taken on an empty stomach. At the same time, I would experience headaches and dizziness. I have not noticed wanting to eat more than usual, I have noticed not having much of an appetite anymore. Which is a bit odd because I'm always down for food. I would DEFINITELY recommend to make your daily time to take the pill at night around dinner time. It's a little more convenient, so you're not going to work or school having to deal with any side effects."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Mononessa to attempt to get my hormones back in check. As if I wasn't already feeling bad before... boy, did this birth control make me feel even worse! Constant nausea, stomach pains, hot flashes, headaches, insomnia, weight gain, bloated, the only positive it gave me was a lighter period, but it wasn't worth it with all the side effects. Stopped it today, and I can't wait to start feeling better again."

For Birth Control "From the reviews, I think this pill gave me a more rough experience than others. The day after I switched pills, I had a dull headache and slight nausea. It faded after a few hours, and I didn't think about it again. Later that night, I experienced the nausea again, and it quickly progressed to violent vomiting. Every time I took the pill, regardless of the fact that I'd taken it on a full stomach, I would get a debilitating headache and nausea. It felt like I had the flu. Today was the first day I haven't taken it (4 days in), and I feel great and was able to carry on my day as usual. I changed to this BC because my insurance covered it, but I'd rather pay for my old stuff that doesn't make me sick."

For Endometriosis "Took this pill for one week. I was so nauseated, dizzy, and had a headache I couldn't get out of the house or even look at food. I have been on several other pills before, and none have affected me this badly."

For Birth Control "I took this pill as a birth control option, and I could not even last three days. Honestly, I know I should have given it more time, but I know my body, and the way I have felt has been extremely miserable. Nausea, headaches, aches, and depression. The sight or smell of food made me so sick. I am not in a relationship but was seeing this guy for three months and was having sex, but not on a frequent basis (we used condoms), so I feel this may be best for girls who are really active. Our bodies are all different, but I have high stress levels as it is being a full-time college student with work. Like I said, we all are different, but I just could not handle the side effects. Hope it works for other girls, but as for me, I am staying away for now!"

For Birth Control "Mononessa has been great so far. I started with Minastrin and then I switched to Sprintec. I was experiencing serious weight gain from Sprintec and finally made the switch to Mononessa. I have experienced breakthrough bleeding, but only due to my own irresponsibility. I am rating this 10/10 because my experience without the condom has not resulted in pregnancy. I am starting to have some concerns, though. Sometimes I get these very weird headaches, it's almost as if I'm dehydrated. I'll drink tons of water, but that doesn't seem to help. And this month I have become very irritable and upset over just about anything. My moods are out of control, and I just feel so hopeless sometimes."

For Birth Control "Mononessa has been the worst birth control I have ever been on. I was on this pill for three days and thought I would die. Severe nausea, nightmares, mood swings, insomnia, headaches, and chest pain. I stopped taking it after the third day. My body really does not like this birth control. I would not recommend this pill at all."

For Birth Control "Went on the pill to clear my skin. I'm in the middle of my 2nd pack. I've been on other acne-focused pills, which are supposed to get worse before better, so I'm used to waiting it out. But this pill is not worth it. I'm breaking out in places I never have before and wake up every morning with new whiteheads and blackheads. The entire first month, I was slightly nauseous all day and extremely tired, sore throat, and headache. I also got very hungry at night, just figured I'd push through, and all the symptoms went away after a month except the acne. It just got worse, and I noticed when I was on the placebo pills, my face cleared a little. Now I need to visit a derm and most likely spend lots of money getting chemical peels and nice masks."

For Birth Control "When I started Mononessa a year ago, the first month I had headaches and cramps, but they went away after 1 cycle. Sometimes I get breakthrough bleeding, but for the last 2 cycles, I have not had any breakthrough bleeding. My skin has cleared up with no acne."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on and off of Mononessa for about a good year now. I have always had a problem with heavy bleeding, cramps, and blood clots every time I've had my monthly cycle. I told my doctor, and she suggested I take Mononessa. For the first week or so, it made me feel terrible: headaches, nausea, lightheaded, the works. I wanted to stop taking it, but due to my heavy bleeding, I knew this was better than having to change pads every five times a day. It stopped my period for about a good 6 months (which I still don't understand, is that normal?), and then my period would just come back on its own and stay only for about a week. I went off the Mononessa, but now back on due to being on my period for almost two months now. Make it stop! :("

For Birth Control "I've been taking Mononessa for about a week now, so my opinion probably doesn't mean much yet. My period was still bad the first day or two, but then it got very light, to where I barely felt like I was even on it. I do get the 'sick to my stomach' feeling a little in the evenings, but it's not terrible and I haven't thrown up. Yesterday and today I have had a constant headache, which I'm assuming is coming from the pills because I don't get frequent headaches. I had a little bit of breakouts on my chin, and it has gone away already, but that could also be attributed to just the fact that pimples go away with time. I haven't had sex yet, so I'm not sure about whether or not my intimate relationship will change."

For Birth Control "I was on Mononessa right out of high school for about 2.5 years. In the beginning, my symptoms were mild: sore breasts, nausea (when I doubled up on pills or took the pills during the day instead of at night), occasional headaches. Eventually, my symptoms worsened; I developed debilitating anxiety, severe depression, and mood swings. Mononessa completely changed who I was; it almost ruined my relationship, it ruined my grades, and it made me feel hopeless. Within two weeks of quitting, I felt like the dark cloud that had been following me for years had finally cleared. I feel amazing now."

For Birth Control "I've been on Mononessa for about 2 1/2 years now, and in the beginning, I can honestly say I had no complaints. It completely minimized my periods, my acne was non-existent, my sex drive was strong, and I was able to maintain my weight well! About a year and a half ago though, things took a turn for the worse. I was getting headaches and migraines practically 3-4 days out of the week, my periods were getting heavier again, my sex drive was on and off, my face started breaking out, and next thing I knew, I had gained 25 lbs. I can't shake that weight, despite eating even healthier and working out 2x/day, which is leading to insecurity and depression. Definitely wouldn't recommend using for longer than a year."

For Birth Control "So I just started this birth control almost 2 weeks ago. I am 24, and this is my very first birth control I have ever used. I was prescribed this pill to help with PCOS symptoms. I read reviews before taking my first pill and was super scared. I was expecting to feel horrible. The first 4 days I felt nothing at all except extreme sleepiness, and my appetite has gone down some; the 5th day I had a horrible headache, dizziness, nausea, and I ended up sleeping it off. I pushed the time I take the pill to later evening because I have felt so sleepy since starting this medication. I don't really see it being listed as a side effect, and I'm not sure if anyone else has the same problem, but I am pretty positive it's the pill."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Mononessa for a month and a half. Since day one, I noticed a slight headache. I didn't pay much attention to it since I thought it was just balancing my hormones. The following weeks went by, and my headache got worse. By the time my period came, I experienced cramps-very bad cramps-making me cry (30-year-old crying, worst period ever). I called my doctor and told her my symptoms. She told me that it was normal, that eventually, my body would get used to the medication. Once again, I'm on month two, second week. I've been experiencing terrible heartburn, diarrhea, vomiting, and extreme headaches, so I threw them away. If you're taking this pill, I hope it works for you, it didn't for me :("

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control since I was 16. I am 20 now and starting to wonder about other forms of birth control. It's not a bad pill, but it's not great either. It makes my period slightly lighter, and I haven't had any pregnancy scares with it, but I really don't like the way it makes me feel. Terrible cravings, bloating, headaches, etc."

For Birth Control "I was on the Kireva birth control pill 3 years ago for 2 years straight and experienced no problems. I recently decided to go back on the pill but was suggested Mononessa by my doctor. The first week I was on the pill, I thought I was experiencing early pregnancy symptoms. Unbearable stomach/pelvic cramping to the point where I couldn't even sit up straight, headaches, complete loss of energy, crazy mood swings, loss of appetite/being disgusted by foods I normally love, and terrible nausea at all hours of the day, and very painful breast tenderness starting at the beginning of the 2nd week. I can't wait to get off of this. Ugh! 0/10"

For Birth Control "I was most concerned about mood changes/depression when beginning this pill, as the last BC I was on built upon my already existing anxiety and depression. However, I just started my third pack, and it's helped my mood more than ruined it. That's not to say it's not without its obvious side effects - throughout the last two months I've experienced multiple side effects as my body adjusts to the hormones, albeit only for a few days to a week at most. Breast tenderness, cramps, headaches, dizziness, and even a two-week long period for the first two weeks. It seems like I'm finally experiencing the nausea side effect that almost everyone mentioned, but I somewhat expected it and it's not a huge deal."

For Birth Control "Started this pill in Apr 2016. It was okay at first, periods became lighter, the cramps were unbearable. Very moody, tired, headaches, dry skin, and now four months in, my period was late. When it finally came, it has been going on for two weeks. Not to mention, my face started to swell, my lips and hands were swelling up and having difficulty breathing. I just threw the medicine in the trash. Will not take it anymore."

For Birth Control "Mononessa. I was nauseated for the first two weeks of being on it. I've had on-and-off headaches since I've started and have been bloated for the past two months. My boyfriend says that I've been extra sensitive and my sex drive is gone. The only time I felt normal is when I was on my period and not taking the active pills. It did make my period shorter (3 days). Unfortunately, Mononessa is not for me. I gained 8 lbs since I've been on it and am an emotional wreck. I can't wait to see my gyno next week and switch it up."
