For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control my entire teen years and now into adulthood- I struggle with both anxiety and depression so it is very hard to see if this pill has contributed. As far as acne goes, it hasn’t helped at all and I still have awful breakouts. (Ironically my skin is the clearest on placebo week if that tells you anything). I only continue to take this because this helps tremendously with my awful bed-ridden cramps. I have not gained any weight with this pill but I did go up two cup sizes back in high school when I first started taking it."

For Birth Control "I have had a really good experience with Mono-Linyah. Before taking this pill I was on a different one and my periods were terrible. I had horrible cramps, heat flashes, mood swings, heavy bleeding for many days, and migraines that made me throw up. I finally switched to this pill and I skip the placebo week and I have not had a single problem. It’s been about a year now and I haven’t noticed a single side effect. It has improved my life tremendously."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I got on Mono-Linyah to regulate my periods when I was about 16. I took it for 5 years, and those years were the most miserable years of my life so far. I gained a significant amount of weight- nothing could help it, even if I exercised every day and ate right. I cramped 2.5 weeks out of the month. It caused bad mood swings, headaches, and extreme anxiety. It seems like I'm just naming every side effect in the book, but that's how bad this stuff is. I do not recommend this birth control to anyone. The only reason I gave above a 1 is because it regulated my period, but I had extreme consequences for that."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "From the second I started this pill Mono-Linyah, I had the worst cystic acne I have ever had before. My face was completely broken out in painful acne. I just thought to myself it is probably just the medication adjusting to my body, right? Nope, I was wrong. I continued to have a 9 DAY LONG period. The period was heavy and one of the worst experiences of my life. My acne was so bad during my period my face has scarring from it. At this point, I emailed the doctor who prescribed it to me and she told me I needed to wait longer for the medicine to adjust. I was about a month deep in my pills. Now going forward, I’m still breaking out badly and with cystic acne that is scarring. My periods are still extremely heavily and are lasting more than 7 days. I have tried everything to lighten my period too and nothing has worked. I do not recommend this medication at all. I understand it affects everyone differently, but try to find an alternative before coming to this brand."

For Ovarian Cysts "Ive been on Mono-Linyah for a month and have experienced the worst pain where my cesarean scar is. I became prone to cysts by having the IUD back in 07 and now taking this brought them back. Having cysts from this birth control is rare. Hurray me! Not."

For Birth Control "I was on this pill before which was last year and when I took it it was perfectly fine. It helped with my cramps that were pretty bad and I was very heavy and my face was so clear. I stopped talking it and then got back on it again and let me tell you I’ve never been like this before. My face broke out SO bad. I’ve been SO moody and crying all the time for no reason one moment I would be fine next I would be mad for no reason I thought there was something wrong with me but it’s really ruining me and if you feel like this also you are not alone and it’s not worth taking it anymore. Definitely talk to your doctor about getting on something else because your mental health is important. And i feel so bad for the people around me because I’m just so moody and it’s not fair to them"

For Acne "Horrible. My cystic acne got worse even after 4 months. I had suicidal thoughts, appearance didn't help, AND not to mention the most draining fatigue and loss will to live. I can't get back these last few months of my life & I'm switching to Trisprintec to literally save my life."

For Birth Control "I switched from Estraylla to this and it’s supposed to be a generic. After my first packet was done I was just getting brown discharge for 5 days. I was freaking out but let it be because people say that can happen for your body to get used to the medicine. I stopped taking the bc in all just in case I was pregnant but the following month I got my period around the time I usually do. Other than that I never felt any negative side effects."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for almost 10 months. It cleared most of my acne and I had no break through bleeding as I took it at the same time everyday. I actually skipped my periods with this pill, no problem. But, it has bloated me so much to where I think it’s messing with my digestive system. It makes me very nauseous too. But the worst thing it has affected is my mood. I get so upset over small things and think the world is working against me. I’ve gone into pretty deep depression. So I decided to stop taking it, but I got into a relationship so I needed to use something, so when I started back up again, I’ve been on my period for 3 weeks now. I finally just stopped taking it and am hoping to find something that works better for me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on this pill for about four months. My periods are regular now. Also my sex drive has increased. But The first month on this pill my whole face broke with acne.( I’m still treating the breakouts) I also became very depressed in the first two months. Sometime when I eat I get nausea, so I have to stop. Also my skin has become itchy and my hair is shedding a lot. And my periods are still moderately heavy. In my case I have more negatives than positives, so I will be switching."

For Birth Control "I’ve been off and on this pill, mostly on, for about 6 years. I only ever got off because I was tired of taking a pill every day so I’d try a different birth-control but it was never as good as mono-linyah for me. I've never had an issue with it for the most part. Really helped with my acne which is a huge plus! I almost never have acne on this but as soon as I get off I breakout bad. The only thing that I can really say that’s bad about it is if I forgot to take a pill and I would have to take 2, my boyfriend noticed a pattern where I’d be a little more moody the next day but I never noticed it. I also gained 20 pounds in 2020 but I don’t know if that has anything to do with the pill because we also we’re in a pandemic and it’s never made me gain weight before so it was probably just the fact that I wasn’t leaving the house haha. This pill also makes me move up a cup size in my bra, which I think is a plus LOL!"

For Birth Control "I read the reviews before starting this pill, which made me nervous because of all the negative reviews. But my body seems to do really well on it. I’ve been on it for seven months now. The only side effects I’ve had are my breasts have gotten a little bigger and I get a little overheated (which doesn’t bother me because I’m skinny and always cold lol). Positive side effects is it has made my period so much better. I have endo, and have passed out, throw up, and had horrendous cramps in the past. Now I only get slightly painful cramps on the first day. Everyone’s body is different, and I seem to be one of the few who’s had an overall good experience on this pill."

For Birth Control "This is easily the worst birth control I’ve ever been on, I’ve gained 30 pounds, non stop issues regarding my female health, has given me acne. It is so awful, do not recommend this birth control what so ever. My doctor switched me to this one as I was having issues while on the previous one and it exacerbated the problem. I’ve been on it for over a year and nothing has gotten better. I’ve been tested for everything underneath the sun and the only thing it comes back to is how this birth control has my hormones all messed up."

For Birth Control "I would not recommend this pill if you do not want to gain weight. I was on Junel Fe for several years then got off once I stopped having regular sex. I took Mono-Linyah for a full month and have already gained 10 pounds, even with daily exercise. If keeping weight off is important to you do not take this pill"

For Birth Control "I feel bad that this medication has such bad reviews, but if we're being honest, switching from Sprintec to this was life changing! Gave me zero side effects, unlike Sprintec. I did spot a little during the very first month as well as some nausea if I didn't take it with food, but my body was adjusting to a different pill. Going on two years on this pill & I don't think I can go back!"

"I had a great experience with it. It regulated my periods well which was my biggest issue, and I didn’t experience any noticeable side-effects. I can’t speak to its effectiveness as birth control though because I wasn’t sexually actively while on it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on it for about 9 months now and I like it. I skip the placebo but still seem to get a period but it’s a lot lighter and almost pain free. I’ve noticed that I’ve been able to lose/maintain my weight since being on it and it’s worked fine on my acne as well. Don’t let all the negative reviews worry you. Everyone’s different"

For Birth Control "I was taking Femynor before taking Mono-linyah and was fine, however I no longer had insurance so I decided I’d do the online birth control and get it sent to my address. Well the worst thing I did, this birth control is the worst I’ve ever used! I gained 15 pounds since taking it, I have the worst mood swings ever! Please be careful when taking this birth control!"

For Birth Control "I got switched to this brand from Sprintec/Tri-Sprintec and after reading reviews, I was so scared to even start taking it. But Mono-Linyah has been soooo much better than Sprintec, Tri-Sprintec and Estarylla. I used to get nauseous immediately after taking those, had mild headaches, no appetite and NO sex drive at all. Now, after only one month on Mono-Linyah, I feel a whole lot better. I have zero side effects after taking it, no nausea/headaches and my sex drive is finally back. My period is the same as it was when I was on Sprintec, about 3-4 days long. The only downfall I’ve noticed is that my face has a few more small pimples the week of my period but nothing too bad, as they’re very tiny (and could be caused by anything not just the BC). Overall, I’m happy and will continue taking this."

For Birth Control "Honestly, in the first two months I did have side effects like nausea, weight gain, and got bad acne, but I knew that my body would get use to it. After that my body went back to normal and my skin cleared up, I wasn’t nauseous anymore and I started loosing weight easily. As for mental health, it never made me get depression or anxiety, but then again, I never had that in the past so maybe that’s why I never developed it. My periods came every month and never got cramps or heavy blood, before I was on the pill my cramps were bad and painful so I’m glad they’re not anymore. Again, all bodies are different but I really like this birth control for me."

For Birth Control "This birth control is the WORST! I started taking it February 3 which was the first day of my period. And I haven't stopped bleeding since. I have a tubal and was only prescribed this medication due to a very thickened endometrium. I consulted with my doctor whom told me to stop taking it for 4 days. I stopped, and I am still bleeding. It's been 3 weeks since I have been bleeding while taking this medication. The bleeding was light at first now that I am not on the pill the bleeding is like a heavy period. I DON'T RECOMMENDED THIS MEDICATION TO ANYONE! I am definitely taking myself off of this and going to something else."

"I had to come off of Tri-Previfem (which I have been on it for almost 10 yrs for PCOS and it worked SO well for me until recently), and my gyno switched me to this birth control. The first week I didn't notice a difference, but when my body really started to react with the hormones I got bloating that hasn't gone away and I began breaking out. On Tri-Previfem I had glowing skin all the time and now I feel like I'm in high school again. I cannot stand the constant bloating. I feel like I've gained ten pounds and my boobs are at least a size if not two bigger. I'm at the end of month two and I can't do it anymore. Not the pill for me."

For Birth Control "I’m sure this BC works for some people, but it did not for me. I had the worst nausea of my life, I had to stop taking it. I also had bad headaches, and was so tired from not being able to eat or sleep. I will definitely be switching to a progesterone only BC, this has too much estrogen for me."

"For me, this was a zero star drug. Two hours after I took my first pill I had stomach cramping and diarrhea. I stuck with it for another week thinking my body would adjust. I could barely eat because even white rice caused stomach pain and diarrhea. The last night I took it I had such horrific abdominal cramping I was curled up on the floor. My doctor was concerned about my gallbladder, liver or pancreas but after running tests it turns out it was just this horrible pill."

For Birth Control "I’m on my fourth month of Mono Linyah and I have zero side effects now that I’m past the adjustment phase. I was on a pill a couple years ago for a brief time but I felt it was messing with my mood and mental health so I went off it. When I got my new prescription a few months ago, I told my doctor this and she had me try a non-phasic pill instead (Mono Linyah). So far I have zero complaints!"
