"I just finished my three packs. Horrible to say the least, but does its job of avoiding pregnancy. If I don't eat before taking the pill, I'm nauseous and vomiting for the next three days. The first month, my period was on time and regular. The second month, I had two periods and would bleed after sex. And this third month has been pretty much continuous bleeding to the point I don't have sex with my boyfriend at all. My periods used to be pretty light and last 4-5 days. Now they're extremely light to the point I hardly have to use a panty liner, and I mostly bleed when I use the bathroom, but it's all day, every day. I'm also moody, cranky, and tired all the time. I'm so done with this birth control and am changing. Do not recommend to anyone."

"I'm on my 3rd month, and I ONLY take this for regulating my period and the symptoms of it. The first month, my breasts hurt terribly. I had to give up running for a while because I could not handle it. That's been the only major side effect I've had besides I get more breakouts. (And they were hardly noticeable) My periods are lighter, cramps are lighter. I used to cramp 4 days before and then during half the period duration. I just cramp maybe the first 1 or 2 days of the period now. Weight has only decreased, no increased appetite. I'm very happy with it so far! ☺"

"Before this, I had been using the Depo shot and then Yaz for a year and had constant bleeding and spotting on both. Once I started taking Mononessa, my bleeding stopped in two days. It's been two weeks since starting the pack, and all is still good. I have noticed a tiny increase in pimples, and my breasts have become slightly bigger and tender, but not painful. I have high hopes for this pill."

"I've been taking Sprintec to help with my acne for about six months now, it's caused me to gain almost five pounds and hasn't done anything to help my acne at all. On top of that, I've had my period for two months straight! I was thinking it was because I'm taking doxycycline with it and it can mess up the absorption of Sprintec, but I've honestly given up on it. There's no reason to take it if it's only making my life worse."

"I have had the worst periods ever since I started at 13. Extremely heavy, full of huge clots, very long, and very painful. I am now 21 and finally found something that helps so far. Just finishing up my first month of it, and my period was only a week long (mine usually lasts 3 months). I'm still having a lot of pain, which used to signal to me that a clot was coming down, but I haven't had any clots. The only side effect I'm having is the moodiness. So happy with this medication so far!"

"I have been taking Sprintec since May 2016. I was doing great on the blue pill, but when it came to taking the white pill for 7 days, I would bleed for weeks straight at a time. So, playing doctor, I just started taking the blue pill and would skip over taking the white pill, and I would spot every now and then. When I did do that, I would have severe cramps (never had cramps before in my life) and decided to finish the pack as suggested (blue/white pills). Now it is August, and for three weeks I have been bleeding non-stop. I have not taken any of my blue pills since Sunday, July 31st, to see if the bleeding would stop, and sure enough, it HASN'T.... I am tired of cramping when on the pill and bleeding when I follow the directions. HELP???"

"While I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen, I was hospitalized. I came very close to needing a blood transfusion. Halfway through a pack, I started to bleed heavily. I went to the ER and had ultrasounds done to be sure I wasn't having a miscarriage or cyst rupture. It was explained to me that the added hormones were not balancing well, which was causing one to crash and cause heavy bleeding. I was immediately taken off of birth control. I won't ever try it again. It was a very scary experience."

"I have been on these Sprintec pills since April. I have fibroids, and I have now been bleeding since June 14, 2019, and the doctors are doing nothing about it. Doing research on birth control, I have found they can make the tumors grow faster. Mine have, and I have been bleeding for too long and am still bleeding as I type. I need help. I am already struggling financially, and spending money on something that's not helping is very depressing."

"Insurance wouldn't cover the usual, so I was given this one. Well, only one week, and I feel crazed. Heart rate off, breathing labored, sweats, fatigued but can't sleep, super restless. And on day 7, I said - it's this pill. Mind you, also bleeding on it. Never have I ever had side effects from birth control, but this one makes me just feel off. Looked up anxiety and boom, all my symptoms. This pill made me super anxious. I am done. No more for me."

"This was my first time getting on the pill. My doctor put me on Estarylla, and everything just went downhill from there. I was aware of the side effects, granted this is my first time being on the pill. But I have never felt so awful in my life. By the third week, I hit a wall with depression, so uncomfortably bloated, tons of nausea that never went away and abdominal pains. I finally called and told them what’s up, and they are wanting to switch me to Sprintec. Everyone’s bodies are different, but Estarylla made me feel the lowest of lows."

"Background info: I am not sexually active, and I was hoping that Sprintec would help control an unruly menstrual cycle. I am on my third pack month of Sprintec. Cannot. Stop. Bleeding. I have been spotting daily and occasionally bleeding for the last month... will be seeing a doctor soon!!!"

"I have been on Sprintec for about 3 years now, and I can only say that I had problems for the first month of using it. During that month, I had terrible mood swings and was very irritable and depressed, but I adjusted soon after. My breasts have grown, my period has regulated completely, and my skin is almost always clear. It's a dream pill."

"I started Estarylla 3 months ago due to prolonged bleeding caused by my previous pill. Estarylla stopped my month-and-a-half-long period almost immediately. Unfortunately, this is the only good thing that I've found since being on the pill. I have severe nausea and vomiting weekly, loss of appetite, extremely sore, swelling breasts but no change in size, spotting, heavy bloating, and mood swings. Little things seem to make me irritated and angry. It seems like the side effects are beginning to die down going into the 4th month, but it's hard to tell. The only reason it has 3 stars is because it stopped my prolonged bleeding and I'm not pregnant. I will not continue use if my body doesn't adjust soon."

"This is supposed to be my second month on Estarylla, after not taking birth control for over 8 years. I’ve never experienced mood swings (although I’m naturally moody) on any birth control until now. Estarylla has made me so depressed, I constantly had headaches (and I very rarely get headaches), and the bleeding this month was insane. I was passing blood clots the size of my fist and went to the ER because I was so worried. They said everything was fine, and I wasn’t prescribed anything to stop or slow the bleeding... but I know that this isn’t normal. Gonna find a new birth control because Estarylla is not the answer for me. I started taking it because I was having bleeding between periods for a few months, and I wanted to be more regular. This did regulate my cycle, but I’d rather be irregular than have the massive amount of bleeding that I did on my cycle."

"I was on Trinessa Lo since 2016 and loved it! However, in December 2018, I was switched to Tri-Lo-Sprintec since Trinessa is sadly being discontinued. I HATE THIS PILL. It is now Feb 2019, and I started randomly spotting and abnormally bleeding 2 weeks before my period, and now I’m still spotting the week after. I have a significantly decreased sex drive as well. I would not recommend this pill! I'm going to get it changed ASAP."

"I used to take Sprintec, but the pharmacy isn't carrying it now, I believe. I started taking this generic, which is supposed to be the same, and the first month was okay, my period was shorter than normal. We get to month 2, and my period starts up on week 2 of the pack. I am now on month 3, and my period started up again midway through week 1, I haven’t stopped bleeding. So for the whole entire month of January, I have had to stock up on supplies because my period hasn't stopped at all. I want to sleep all the time, I already have issues with my depression and anxiety, and I’ve noticed since starting the birth control I am a little bit more on edge. Would not recommend anybody take this pill."

"After reading the reviews, I was afraid to take this pill because I had been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, and it was great, then Trinessa Lo. I stopped taking the pill at all for a few months and was later given Tri-Lo-Sprintec. I’m done with the first month, and this is great compared to the Lo Loestrin Fe I had taken previously that gave me the worst side effects. The first night I took Tri-Lo-Sprintec, I woke up super nauseated in the middle of the night, but that was it. The first week I was slightly nauseated throughout the day, but taking it at night with food helped, and I don’t get nauseated anymore. Upon taking the pill, sometimes I do get slightly bloated for a little bit, but it goes away. I had crippling anxiety on the other two pills, but I have found this pill doesn’t give me that at all. I was dealing with post-birth-control acne on my forehead, and Tri-Lo-Sprintec cleared it right up within the first week. These reviews scared me half to death, but I’m glad I tried it!"

"I was prescribed Tri-Sprintec because I was having extremely long periods that lasted up to a month. It stopped my period immediately, and I only had abnormal bleeding outside of the placebo week during the first month that I used it. However, I really don't believe that it's worth the side effects. I started getting acne when my skin has always been very clear. My skin has become incredibly sensitive to new products (and even some products that I've used for over a year with no issue). My periods have become regular, but I now get intense cramping during the whole week. Worst of all, though, is that I have become severely emotionally unstable. In between the depression spells and intense anger, I become manic. I am a teenager, and I've gotten mood swings before, but never like this. It's almost unbearable. I plan on talking to my doctor soon so that I can find a different pill that works better for my needs."

"My daughter is 16 and was put on this medicine for horrible, painful periods and her acne 3 months ago. Acne is clearing up, cramps are not so bad, and she's able to stay at school, BUT the 1st week of the pack on the 1st pack and 3rd pack, she throws up nonstop all day, all week, and has upper stomach pain all the time now. She had 2 pills from the 1st pack when all this started, and the doctor took her off to see if it was the pill. It continued, so the doctor said it wasn't the pill. Now, 3 months later, it's still going on. The doctor has taken a blood test, sent her for a gallbladder ultrasound, the ER did a blood test, sent her to a gastroenterologist, and now today had an upper GI, and all of these things are normal. She is pitiful, and I'm sick of seeing her like this. Anyone else had this issue?"

"I took this BC because I had constant bleeding for over a month. It stopped my period for about two weeks, however, I started bleeding heavier than before and had cramps so severe it felt like I was having labor pains every minute for a couple of hours. I had to go to the emergency room, and while there, I had a clot the size of a golf ball. The doctor said it was the birth control and to see an OB-GYN and get on another form of BC. I will not be taking this anymore and would not recommend!"

"In the beginning, it worked fine. I was switched to it because Ortho Tri-Cyclen was getting costly, and some of the other generics were making me constipated. Joy. Anyway, I have been on Tri-Sprintec for almost a year, and it doesn't regulate my periods. In fact, I seem to be getting periods whenever the heck it pleases, and they last forever. My normal cycle is 3 days, and I always knew by Thursday of the sugar pills that it was coming, but this pill just doesn't seem to be working. On top of that, I'm always nauseated, sometimes I get extremely depressed for no reason. I have panic attacks and just feel horrible at the most random times. I can't wait to switch."

"Stay away from this pill. I NEVER have side effects from any birth control I've taken in the past. I was switched to Estarylla and took it for maybe 2-3 months, and I have been bleeding for a week and a half now, who knows how long it'll last."

"The pharmacy said my old BC was no longer covered and gave me this, saying the ingredients were the same when I asked. Obviously, there's varying degrees. I bled for over two weeks. The last week, I questioned whether I had a ruptured cyst or miscarriage. The cramps were so horrendous I threw up. HORRIBLE!!!!"

"This birth control works great for a contraceptive, though I was on it for my periods. The side effects are why I changed to a different pill. In the beginning, I had a lot of breakthrough bleeding, but once it got into my system, it got better. I cried continuously for the first two weeks of every month, which made me and everyone else around me angry. That's why I switched to a lower dose."

I've been depressed ever since the first pill, and now I have been bleeding for the last month, so I've decided to stop taking it and look for something better. Nor did it help the cramps. Just made them worse and last longer."
