For Birth Control "I started Femynor back in college. Initially, I had painful cramps and nausea for numerous days. Eventually, these side effects cleared, and I continued with the medication for 5 years. For those 5 years, my acne had cleared, but I developed anxiety and suffered from dreadful cramps and mood swings during/leading up to my period. I am currently switching birth control pills, after a while, I started developing frequent hormonal acne, which I’ve rarely ever had growing up."

For Birth Control "Switched birth control because the pharmacy where I moved didn't carry Previfem. I stuck through the horrible nausea the first two days (puking 2-4 am) thanks to people’s reviews saying it does go away. After that, no side effects besides going up a cup size. Now that I am through the nausea, we will see how this thing goes."

For Birth Control "Do not take Femynor. I spent the worst night of my life after only taking it for 5 days. An hour later on the 5th day, I felt terrible. I had a very bad headache, and I was very nauseous all night. Finally, after hours, I threw up, and afterwards I felt so weak I could not even talk. Whatever you do, do not take this pill, it's terrible."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Femynor for around 2 months as my first ever birth control pill. So far, the only side effects I've experienced are headaches and nausea. I take the pill every night before bed, and as long as I eat a snack after taking it and drink some water, I do not experience any side effects. However, I skipped dinner one time and woke up with a headache and feeling very nauseous."

For Birth Control "I am on week 2, month 2 of Femynor, and I’m not sure where I stand. I started this birth control at a very stressful time, so I’m not sure if the side effects are due to the drug or the stress or both. But the major side effect I’ve noticed is that I’m nearly nauseous. I thought that maybe I had the stomach bug, but it’s on and off and without vomiting or other viral symptoms. Because of this, I’ve lost a few pounds (which is fantastic), but I’m basically starving myself due to a lack of appetite. I’ve also had a decreased sex drive (again could be the stress too). Aside from that, no other major side effects. My period was normal last month (though heavier than usual), and my acne hasn’t gotten better or worse, and no significant mood swings. I know it takes 3 months to get used to a new birth control and hope by summer, when things die down and I should be used to it, that I’ll feel better."

For Birth Control "I’ve been using this birth control for about 8 months. Only complaints I have are nausea when I forget to take a pill and end up taking two the next day and weight gain. Severe weight gain. I’ve gained over 10 pounds with this pill and I think I want to switch to another contraceptive. Not gonna lie, my face looks amazing; no acne, but I’m feeling really depressed and insecure with the weight gain, and I specifically told my doctor beforehand I didn’t want to gain weight nor break out a lot. Any recommendations for a good birth control?"

For Birth Control "After reading reviews, I believe all my problems from the past year stem from this birth control, Femynor. I originally went on Tri-Estrylla for severe cramps, back pain, and acne. It was great! My periods became noticeably less painful. My acne did not change. After maybe about 4 or 5 months of using it, my pharmacy changed me to this, and my side effects started. First, I started losing a significant amount of weight for the first time in my life. Looking at food made me nauseous, and I became incredibly less hungry. Sometimes I felt like I was going to puke the whole day and just never did. I’m continuing to lose weight, and for the first time since elementary school, I’m under 100 lbs. I thought this may have been because of my depression and anxiety (which now I believe is caused by the birth control as well). I’ve always struggled with depression, but it became so bad for no reason at all this past year. I have become a zombie. Also, I have absolutely NO sex drive at all, which sucks."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 2 weeks now, and it has been a living nightmare. Mood swings, constant nausea, I broke out in benign hives, so much flatulence/intestine issues, it is so humiliating. Not even gonna touch the sex drive subject with a 10-foot pole at this point. I can't wait for my check-in with my doc, I hope she takes me off this pill..."

For Birth Control "It is great for my acne. Horrible for my sex life. I have no sex drive anymore. Some cramping occasionally, and when I first started, I had nausea, but that went away. And I haven’t gotten pregnant, so I guess it’s working."

For Birth Control "Been on Femynor for 2.5 months, it's been fairly good besides the occasional nausea, spotting for the last month, and cramping. But not spotting enough to wear a panty liner. Only seen occasionally when I wipe, but figure my body is still adjusting to a higher dose since I switched from Lo Loestrin Fe (the lowest available option). Other than that, no mood swings, depression, or weight gain. Plus, my acne has cleared up. Personally, I feel the side effects are normal for the first couple of months and not bad enough to switch brands."

For Birth Control "So Femynor was the first and only birth control I’ve ever taken and have so for almost 4 years now. I suffered with depression before, but honestly think this medication made it a lot worse. I didn’t even realize until recently that I have had horrible mood swings and have been very irritable. My acne seems the same, I didn’t gain any weight, but honestly think it made me lose my appetite. Nausea occasionally, but nothing crazy. Despite this, the medication seems to be doing its job. I’m considering getting off it after this long and realizing that my mood swings could be associated with it."

For Birth Control "I haven't been on it for very long, just now getting to the sugar pills, and my acne has improved a lot. I haven't had my period yet, and I'm almost out of sugar pills, I know that's not the craziest thing to happen. But I will still be taking a pregnancy test. I have experienced some nausea, but that's only been the morning after drinking, which, even though that's never happened to me before, I'm not sure if it's correlated. But no mood swings or weight gain or any other crazy symptoms I see other people posting. Don't have anything bad to say about it."

For Birth Control "This stuff made me throw up every time I took a pill. I even took it at night to sleep through the nausea, and in the morning, I threw up every day. I used to take this in high school and knew about the nausea and expected it as I began this again. My fiancé and I were going to try and start a family, so I went off of it and started it again due to how crazy a time it is during COVID-19. I have no idea how I did not see the correlation between my cystic acne and Femynor. My skin had finally cleared up after struggling with cystic acne since my teen years. I started this, and from day 2, I have woken up to new cystic acne every morning. This stuff makes me so emotional and moody, causes cystic acne, and makes me so nauseous. I threw it out. The only good thing about it is I went up a cup size. Do not take this."

For Birth Control "Been on for three years, still haven’t got pregnant, so that’s a plus. Yes, you get nauseous, but that’s common because you’re a woman and you have hormones, so don’t let the comments scare you. Oh, and I take it when I eat breakfast so I won’t feel nauseous because I have food in my body at 9:30 AM."

For Birth Control "I started this Femynor birth control about a year ago for my acne specifically. It has still to this day never helped it. I should have stopped it there, but no, I continued to take it like an idiot. The nausea I get is horrible. It’s typically at night also, which is worse. I have stomach issues where I get bad stomach aches right after I eat, and I’m starting to think this could be the cause of it. I constantly get headaches from it also. And, on top of that, I think it has made my anxiety way worse. Definitely going to stop taking the pill."

For Birth Control "I was on Femynor for 8 months. The first 3 weren’t that bad, it made me a bit more emotional/sensitive and nauseous. After that, I started to gain weight, around 10-15 lbs in 8 months, which I wasn’t used to and made mood swings/depression worse. Eventually, I didn’t feel like myself, I just felt like the dulled-down version, and I cried every day, sometimes about nothing or small inconveniences. 3 weeks off of it and I finally feel back to my old self, more energy, and haven’t cried once."

For Birth Control "Femynor was probably the 3rd birth control I’ve been on, and I'm not crazy about it. I’ve been taking it for two years now, and I'm about to switch just because there are definitely better pills out there. Before birth control, I'd have the lightest period and extremely light bleeding, but this pill caused me to have the worst cramping of my life, to the point where I'd be nauseous and throw up. Pretty heavy period (I'd fill a super in an hour). Mood swings were definitely a thing, and I’d be a total bitch, and rage would just fill my body for no reason at all a week before my period started. Made me very, very emotional, lol. It’s definitely great for avoiding pregnancy, but that’s about it. I didn’t gain any weight from it, but I am bloated all the time, but idk if it’s the pill or IBS, lol."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for a year now, and let me tell you, I'm not impressed. I was on Estrace, then got switched to this. My acne is so bad, my face is dry and red. It is not helping. I also get these bursts of nausea, I can't stand the smell of food or anything before my period. My period is still pretty heavy, and I’m gaining a lot of weight on this pill. I will be switching after my doctor's appointment."

For Birth Control "This is my first birth control, and I have been on it for a month. The first few days, I felt a little nauseous, but that’s because I didn’t eat anything with it. Always make sure to eat something with it, even if it's just a few crackers! I take it at 6:30 in the morning, and I have been fine for the last month!"

For Birth Control "So I have been using birth control for 2 years now, and I have been on Sprintec, Trinessa, and others. They have all been fine until I started Femynor last month. I have had headaches, stomach pains, nausea, shivers, sweating, and dizziness in the middle of the night 2 nights in one month, which one time caused me to throw up. And currently having abdominal pain for no reason. I also don't get as hungry as before and get full quick. My first period with this pill was lighter than my usual periods, and I also experienced spotting during my period. I hate this pill and cannot wait to switch to another brand ASAP."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control. I've tried several different birth controls before, and the side effects were horrible. I do have some side effects on this one, but they are extremely mild (breast tenderness and some nausea). They are also getting better the longer I take it."

For Birth Control "I had previously used Ortho Tri-Cyclen and had no issues, no symptoms, everything was great. When I switched over to Femynor, it was the worst 5 months ever! The first month, I expected it to be difficult due to switching over, but I had all the symptoms-- headache, anxiety, over-emotional, nausea, bloating, tender breasts, etc. After 3 months, it dwindled to tender breasts, anxiety, but still over-emotional. I lost my AirPods in my room and burst into tears inexplicably. Needless to say, I asked my HCP to switch me to something else because just being on this medication gave me anxiety. But no pregnancies, so I guess it worked."

For Birth Control "Tried for one day, and I had to go to work with a headache, nausea, fatigue, and diarrhea! I've been on many other birth controls, and this has been the worst one yet. I've been off hormonal birth control for a while, so I guess my body isn't liking the extra hormones. I already emailed my Dr., asking for a different prescription."
