"I've been on this pill for 2 weeks now, and it has been a living nightmare. Mood swings, constant nausea, I broke out in benign hives, so much flatulence/intestine issues, it is so humiliating. Not even gonna touch the sex drive subject with a 10-foot pole at this point. I can't wait for my check-in with my doc, I hope she takes me off this pill..."

"I'm on Femynor, and I must say it's the worst of all oral contraceptives I have used. Previously, I would have my period for 3 days, and since I started to take the pill, I'm bleeding for 15 days or more."

"I've been on Femynor about a month now, and I've noticed my acne has gotten a lot better, and I've gained about 5 pounds, and my periods are much lighter now, which I like. But the downside to this pill that I noticed about myself is I feel extremely irritable every day, and I'm usually not an angry person, but everything seems to bother me. I am extremely emotional and depressed over everything now, and I have no sex drive whatsoever. I'm probably going to get off this soon because I don't think I could handle the mood swings any longer, but the good thing was it cleared up my acne."

"I started taking this birth control 12 days ago. The second day I took it, I immediately felt sad. I thought it was just a normal passing ache of the heart, but it didn't stop. After a week and a half of minor depression, I began to feel intense anxiety. Today I reached a breaking point. I had the craziest panic attack where I kept switching from mania to crying. My body kept switching from cold to hot, and I could not stop shivering. I felt hungry every day, no matter what, and felt irritated often. You may not think this was enough time to feel these effects, but I'm telling you I did. Good luck."

"So Femynor was the first and only birth control I’ve ever taken and have so for almost 4 years now. I suffered with depression before, but honestly think this medication made it a lot worse. I didn’t even realize until recently that I have had horrible mood swings and have been very irritable. My acne seems the same, I didn’t gain any weight, but honestly think it made me lose my appetite. Nausea occasionally, but nothing crazy. Despite this, the medication seems to be doing its job. I’m considering getting off it after this long and realizing that my mood swings could be associated with it."

"I have no idea why, but I haven’t had my period this month, and they've been coming later, like, my last period was on December 31, and that freaked me out because usually I get my periods on the 22nd. I’ve been buying pregnancy tests like crazy, and they are all negative. But this month I haven’t had my period, and January is almost over."

"It is great for my acne. Horrible for my sex life. I have no sex drive anymore. Some cramping occasionally, and when I first started, I had nausea, but that went away. And I haven’t gotten pregnant, so I guess it’s working."

"Been on for three years, still haven’t got pregnant, so that’s a plus. Yes, you get nauseous, but that’s common because you’re a woman and you have hormones, so don’t let the comments scare you. Oh, and I take it when I eat breakfast so I won’t feel nauseous because I have food in my body at 9:30 AM."

"Been on Femynor for 2.5 months, it's been fairly good besides the occasional nausea, spotting for the last month, and cramping. But not spotting enough to wear a panty liner. Only seen occasionally when I wipe, but figure my body is still adjusting to a higher dose since I switched from Lo Loestrin Fe (the lowest available option). Other than that, no mood swings, depression, or weight gain. Plus, my acne has cleared up. Personally, I feel the side effects are normal for the first couple of months and not bad enough to switch brands."

"I haven't been on it for very long, just now getting to the sugar pills, and my acne has improved a lot. I haven't had my period yet, and I'm almost out of sugar pills, I know that's not the craziest thing to happen. But I will still be taking a pregnancy test. I have experienced some nausea, but that's only been the morning after drinking, which, even though that's never happened to me before, I'm not sure if it's correlated. But no mood swings or weight gain or any other crazy symptoms I see other people posting. Don't have anything bad to say about it."

"I’ve been on this pill for about a year now. I’ve always had great skin and only minor breakouts, but after a few months of taking this birth control, I’ve developed cystic acne. I tried numerous cleansers and treatments and found them all ineffective. I finally went to my dermatologist, and he said to immediately switch brands. My period is the same as when I wasn’t on birth control, not any shorter and still get cramps. I don’t think there’s a positive thing I can say about it."

"This stuff made me throw up every time I took a pill. I even took it at night to sleep through the nausea, and in the morning, I threw up every day. I used to take this in high school and knew about the nausea and expected it as I began this again. My fiancé and I were going to try and start a family, so I went off of it and started it again due to how crazy a time it is during COVID-19. I have no idea how I did not see the correlation between my cystic acne and Femynor. My skin had finally cleared up after struggling with cystic acne since my teen years. I started this, and from day 2, I have woken up to new cystic acne every morning. This stuff makes me so emotional and moody, causes cystic acne, and makes me so nauseous. I threw it out. The only good thing about it is I went up a cup size. Do not take this."

"Ok, so I went to my PCP and was prescribed this pill because I wanted to be on birth control. I didn’t want Depo because I had major breakthrough bleeding when I was last on it. Anyway, my first time taking this pill, I developed the itchiest rash, hives, or whatever you want to call it! It occurred on my feet and hands, it was awful, so I stopped immediately. Then I decided maybe it was my body getting used to the new medicine, so I started again...bad idea. Same thing and in the same places. I just can’t get past the itching on a day-to-day basis. I called my PCP and got off immediately."

"Honestly, it’s been a mixed bag while on Femynor. I’ve been on it for almost a year, but overall, nothing too bad. I’ve been through other forms and have found this one the best. It’s kind of stupid how it reads on the back instead of the front of the packaging, but overall, the symptoms haven’t been too rough. I get cramping just like anyone else on/near their period. I have had breakthrough bleeding some months and other absolutely nothing. I did have to ask to up the dosage, though, because of breakthrough bleeding."

"This birth control is great. My periods always have been super irregular, but once I started this pill, it has been on point. My first period while on the pill was horrible, I got to thinking that this is my body still getting used to the pill. I had the worst cramps I have felt in my life and really heavy bleeding, but after that, my periods have been normal. Only a week long. No weight gain or anything dramatic. I truly am thankful for this pill."

"I have had an out-of-sync period my whole life. I took two other birth controls, and they did nothing to help me with my problem. I have been taking this one for six months, and I love it. I am finally in sync, the first 3 months were hard, but it is worth it. No really bad side effects now, and no weight gain, which I appreciate."

"Bleeding all the time, have had multiple yeast infections and bacterial infections, have massive blood clots. This birth control is awful. I tried to stick it out past 3 months, but it doesn’t get better. I’m calling my doctor to switch."

"I started this Femynor birth control about a year ago for my acne specifically. It has still to this day never helped it. I should have stopped it there, but no, I continued to take it like an idiot. The nausea I get is horrible. It’s typically at night also, which is worse. I have stomach issues where I get bad stomach aches right after I eat, and I’m starting to think this could be the cause of it. I constantly get headaches from it also. And, on top of that, I think it has made my anxiety way worse. Definitely going to stop taking the pill."

"I was on Femynor for 8 months. The first 3 weren’t that bad, it made me a bit more emotional/sensitive and nauseous. After that, I started to gain weight, around 10-15 lbs in 8 months, which I wasn’t used to and made mood swings/depression worse. Eventually, I didn’t feel like myself, I just felt like the dulled-down version, and I cried every day, sometimes about nothing or small inconveniences. 3 weeks off of it and I finally feel back to my old self, more energy, and haven’t cried once."

"Femynor was probably the 3rd birth control I’ve been on, and I'm not crazy about it. I’ve been taking it for two years now, and I'm about to switch just because there are definitely better pills out there. Before birth control, I'd have the lightest period and extremely light bleeding, but this pill caused me to have the worst cramping of my life, to the point where I'd be nauseous and throw up. Pretty heavy period (I'd fill a super in an hour). Mood swings were definitely a thing, and I’d be a total bitch, and rage would just fill my body for no reason at all a week before my period started. Made me very, very emotional, lol. It’s definitely great for avoiding pregnancy, but that’s about it. I didn’t gain any weight from it, but I am bloated all the time, but idk if it’s the pill or IBS, lol."

"This was my first birth control that I had used, and I took it for over a year before switching to another birth control. When I switched, I realized how much of a toll it had taken on my body. This birth control left me feeling depressed, extremely anxious, where I’d stay awake for days, cystic acne (which I had perfectly clear skin prior), stomach aches, yeast infections, and extremely lower libido. I continued to take it for a year, thinking those side effects would go away, believing it was all birth controls that did it. My new birth control is NOTHING like this, and I actually am starting to feel okay again, like my normal bubbly self!"

"I'm currently on my 2nd pack of Femynor pills, and throughout the time I've been on them, I've been spotting. Previously, I was on Portia and Lillow. I stopped taking Portia because it made me a bit anxious the first week of the pack, and Lillow did the same. But try Femynor, I was always jumpy, it actually made me break out more. I haven't had acne like this since I was 17, and I'm now 27. But the worst part is the continuous spotting. I honestly would not recommend this birth control to anyone."

"I've been on this pill for a year now, and let me tell you, I'm not impressed. I was on Estrace, then got switched to this. My acne is so bad, my face is dry and red. It is not helping. I also get these bursts of nausea, I can't stand the smell of food or anything before my period. My period is still pretty heavy, and I’m gaining a lot of weight on this pill. I will be switching after my doctor's appointment."

"After reading reviews, I believe all my problems from the past year stem from this birth control, Femynor. I originally went on Tri-Estrylla for severe cramps, back pain, and acne. It was great! My periods became noticeably less painful. My acne did not change. After maybe about 4 or 5 months of using it, my pharmacy changed me to this, and my side effects started. First, I started losing a significant amount of weight for the first time in my life. Looking at food made me nauseous, and I became incredibly less hungry. Sometimes I felt like I was going to puke the whole day and just never did. I’m continuing to lose weight, and for the first time since elementary school, I’m under 100 lbs. I thought this may have been because of my depression and anxiety (which now I believe is caused by the birth control as well). I’ve always struggled with depression, but it became so bad for no reason at all this past year. I have become a zombie. Also, I have absolutely NO sex drive at all, which sucks."
