"I started Estarylla in November and am asking to be switched today. My hair has turned brittle and sheds so easily, my hair never was like that before. My skin was awful, dry, and always had some small outbreak on my face no matter how hard I took care of it. I felt like I was in a fog, and my emotions were a little bit dull, and all I had was anger and anxiety. And now, being off of it for four days, I not only feel better but my skin is a lot better as well."

"I’ve struggled with hormonal acne since I started going through puberty at around 12 years old. I’ve been using over-the-counter topical creams and serums and prescribed medications (doxycycline) over the years and nothing has ever seemed to work. I saw a new doctor who put me on Estarylla and at first it was nightmarish; the first ~3 days I was on the pill I woke up feeling nauseous with hot flashes. And at first my acne was getting WORSE. I had bad nodular acne on my chin for the first month and a half and was getting whiteheads all over my nose, upper lip, and chin. But I kept going, and now I’m finishing tray 2 (aka I’ve been on it for almost exactly 2 months) and I can say I see a difference! This is the first time in years I’ve been PMSing and not had a terrible flare up. I will say, the worst side effect has been hunger—my appetite has been HUGE and I’m trying to eat healthier to avoid weight gain."

"This birth control medication has been the worst ever. I have always had pimples, but with this birth control, I am extremely breaking out from cystic ingrown pimples to pimples all around the face that come out overnight. I’ve been on it for about 2 weeks now."

"I’m going to go on a rant. This is terrible. Never have liked this at all. I had clear and perfect skin before taking this, and now my skin is breaking out like never before. Also, mood swings and emotions are out of control. I feel like I’ve also experienced a little bit of weight gain because my appetite increased with this stuff, so that’s also something to be wary of. I’m switching after this. Avoid this birth control if you can."

"I was on the arm implant for a year, worst experience of my life, so I switched to Estarylla. My skin cleared up some when I first started taking it, but I truly believe it was just because I got off the implant. I wasn’t sexually active, so I stopped taking the pill. My skin went completely back to normal (which is completely clear, my whole life I never really got acne). I started being sexually active, so I started taking Estarylla. WORST. IDEA. EVER. I started breaking out worse than I ever have before, all over my chin. I stopped taking it for this reason. I’ve been off for about 2 months, and I’m STILL constantly breaking out, and they won’t go away, and it’s actually gotten worse."

"I honestly don't know how to feel about this. Yes, my periods have gotten so much better in the last two months. However, I've been on this pill since October 2023. BUT my acne got so bad. I used to have severe acne and I cleared it with Accutane, but when I got on this pill, I started seeing changes in my face. I'm so depressed because I know this pill has made my acne return, and I have pimples that have not gone away in months and have left acne scars, but it has helped my periods."

"I took this birth control to clear my skin after the reaction I had from my previous pill. My skin cleared up in about a month. I've had amazing skin... but I've always had a terrible period, two missed periods, the worst migraine of my life, and my hair is falling out. I wanted to give this pill a chance so bad, but this is the worst pill I've ever had, and trust me, I've tried many!! Trust the reviews & don't bother."

"I’ve been on this pill for 2 months now, and I’ve had a good experience with it! The first month I had 2 days of spotting and that’s it, and my period came and went exactly when it was supposed to. The second month has been completely normal, although my period is one day late even taking the estrogen pill. It does help my acne through the month, but I do still get a few hormonal breakouts the couple of days before my period, hopefully, that gets better over time. I hope this helped!"
