Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "Ok I love this pill. I know a lot of birth controls warn about gaining weight but it was the opposite for me I actually lost weight and my skin has never been clearer since I started. My periods are more regular and not super heavy. I still get my cramps but they aren’t terrible that’s the only real con but everything else is great"

Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "I will say, I was very hesitant to try this after reading all of the negative reviews, especially since this was the first time I've ever been on birth control, but keep in mind that not everyone reacts the same to medication and contraceptives. I am currently on my 4th pack and my period starts at the same time every month and is a lot lighter and I also don’t cramp as bad as I used to. As far as the birth control aspect of it, it definitely works if used correctly. On my first pack, I did experience a little bit of nausea and mood swings but now that I’m used to it being in my system, I don’t experience any side effects. I recommend it"

Ortho Tri-Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Acne "I am never one to post reviews anywhere, but I just had to for this drug for anyone out there who is still battling with acne. I’m in my mid 20s and suffered from acne for almost 3 years. I’ve tried everything and spent $$$ just to get rid of it. Birth control pills were prescribed by my derma, but the first brand that he gave me (Alesse) made me depressed, and way too emotional so I had to ditch that one. Tried to switch to another one but I’ve suffered way too many side effects, and tried two more before I landed on Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I’m on my 3rd month of using it and I have zero acne not whitehead in my face right now. I’ve had a breakout on my first month of using it, mostly around my chin and jaw area, but after that batch cleared up I haven’t worried about acne anymore. Best one I’ve tried and will be on this pill for as long as I can!"

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Acne "Since having my last child at age 27, my acne has been out of control. Serious cystic breakouts (forehead, chin, temples). When they just about heal up, BOOM, here comes the new ones. I have tried it all, literally. I did lemon juice, baking soda, vinegar, herbs, masks, lotions, pH balancing washes etc. NOTHING worked. I was so sick of it. At 30 I got Tri-Sprintec. The results were amazing. 1st month, I noticed the breakouts weren't as severe (but still there). 2nd month, I noticed the inflammation was better, still a few break out spots. 3rd month, I noticed I barely broke out (just on my temple area and one spot on my chin). 4th Month-NO MORE BREAKOUTS!"

TriNessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "I am now 21 and have been on TriNessa since I was 15 years old, so 6 years on the same pill is a long time, obviously I love it. I originally was placed on the pill to control my VERY painful pains and cramps during my periods, and to help control acne. Eventually when I became sexually active when I was 18, the pill was also important as birth control. Never once have I ever had a "pregnancy scare" while on this pill. I have not noticed any negative effects, no excessive weight gain, or mood swings. The first few months I was on the pill, I had some spotting but after 3 months or so that stopped. Come time for my period week, my period was a lot less painful and I had lighter bleeding as well. Strongly recommended!"

Ortho Tri-Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "I love this birth control! I've been on it for about 2 months. The first month was rough. I was very gassy, moody, my boobs were so tender (still kinda are) and I spotted for a week then a heavy painful period for another week. However it was so worth how great it's been since getting past that first month! My face is clearer, my hormones are in check, my boobs are bigger but I haven't gained weight anywhere else, and I'm not pregnant! (And I don't use condoms) would definitely suggest it"

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "I've been taking this Birth control for 3 months after fighting with my insurance about not wanting the generic because they are different as we all know. I was approved OTCL so I was stoked. Even though OTCL reviews are scary, I'm prone to anxiety, depression and I had not ONE side effect from OTCL. Today I am very upset because according to pharmacists The manufacturer has discontinued Ortho Tri Cyclen LO?Why would the company do this? my insurance and I were paying for this and This is the ONLY birth control that has zero side effects for me I don't know what to do now. After doing extensive research on Tri Lo Sprintec, ALMOST ALL PEOPLE SWITCH BACK TO ORTHO TRI CYCLEN LO BECAUSE OF SIDE EFFECTS FROM TRI LO SPRINTEC OR ANOTHER OTCL GENERIC. I was told that generics have different binders in them (fillers such as sugar amount or other chemicals) that make body absorb medication differently PLEASE BRING BACK OTCL, I hope this is a False alarm and my BC will be back"

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was put on this pill to regulate my period but I was on my period when the doctor gave it to me. I have not stopped bleeding for 3 weeks straight. I started the pill a week ago and I find it gets worse the cramps the bleeding and blood clots. I'm emotionally drained and tired all the time and feel sick. I've been on a birth control to stop bleeding before and it worked within 2 to 3 days. I don't know when I'm going to stop bleeding hopefully soon. I'm getting so tired of it. I just want to feel normal again."

Tri-Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "My pharmacy automatically switched me to Tri-Estarylla after Tri-Prevefim wasn’t partnering with them, and it genuinely was the worst 3 weeks of 2020/2021 and that’s saying a lot. Although allegedly sharing the same ingredients as Tri-Prevefim, Estarylla made me legit crazy. From lack of sex drive and less lubrication to the most dramatic mood swings that only toddlers should have. Within a two hour period at one point: I was angry, too happy, too depressed, too giggly, too sad, too frustrated, and topped it off with crying the night away. I might as well get an Oscar for my performance. Jokes aside, please do not subject yourself to this misery."

Mili (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "HORRIBLE! I was on Sprintec which I loved, no side effects at all. Unfortunately my pharmacy ran out of Sprintec and gave me this awful little pill. My mood swings are horrible, I am extra emotional, my stomach is severely bloated as if I am pregnant, bad gas, night sweats, and the worse of it all I CAN NOT STOP EATING. Since taking this I am hungry all the time and I'm reaching for carbs mainly. This is terrible and I spoke with my gyno and she sent another prescription to the pharmacy to give me only Sprintec that they can not give me any other."

Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill Estarylla for 3 years. It was the generic form Ortho Tri Cyclen. This pill has caused me severe depression, brain fog, a feeling like a heavy darkness over my life with suicidal thoughts, anger and aggression, and migraine headaches. I’ve had severe anxiety, constipation, stomach pain. When I’m off for the 7 day placebo tablets I feel the best, but then I start the new pack Sunday and the cycle starts again until the end of the pack. This product should be discontinued. I did clear up my skin and prevent pregnancy but it hasn’t been worth it."

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "First, I’m not writing this to scare people who haven’t taken Sprintec yet, because clearly it does work for some people. I do want to warn those who start taking it and notice emotional changes to stop taking this pill. I felt like I was going crazy on this birth control. I experienced intense sadness, I felt like I didn’t know who I was, and was on the verge of tears all the time. It was awful. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize my birth control was causing this at first. I got a therapist and was mildly depressed for months. One month I was feeling so unmotivated I just stopped taking my birth control for 3 weeks. Eventually I started a new pack and within a few days I noticed that I felt just as horrible as I did when I first started Sprintec. The reviews here helped me realize I wasn’t alone. I contacted my provider immediately and switched to Yaz with side effects so far :) Please, if you relate to this don’t make the mistake I did and switch to another birth control!!!"

Tri-Lo-Marzia (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "It was my first time on birth control I thought okay, cool. I was trying to get my hormones in check more than anything else. WRONG. since starting I’ve had severe anxiety, racing heart, racing thoughts, disorientation, insomnia, thoughts of suicide and pretty harsh depressive episodes. It’s been miserable. I haven’t seen anyone else really talking about this but it’s been so extreme. It’s been miserable, I’ve had the constant “I’m going absolutely crazy thought” . But as soon as I stopped it’s like I was back to normal. I know everyone is different and maybe it’s just me but I really can’t handle this pill..."

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "Not sure why this particular birth control has received so many bad reviews on this website. I’ve been taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for close to 4 years now and it’s been VERY reliable. It helped regulate my menstrual cycle, I haven’t gained weight, no issues with acne. I haven’t experienced any negative side effect. This review is from a Canadian."

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "So I've been on this pill for 9 months. It's given me really bad mood swings, depression, etc. I almost feel manic depressive on it. The hormone levels change drastically throughout the pill pack which is why you get mood swings. Look for a monophasic birth control instead - going off this drug now. It worked on the whole no-pregnancy bit and my periods were very short & light. No acne either. But I'd rather not feel crazy."

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Ovarian Cysts "I am finding through more and more reeding of reviews is that a lot of these higher estrogen, progestogen pills ruin lives. This pill absolutely destroyed my mental health. I had dark thoughts, I was aggressive and severely depressed. I gained back 10 pounds that I spent the last few months losing within the first month of this pill. I bled for three weeks straight and had super dry itchy skin. Plus it made sex unbearably painful which I have never experienced before. I was practically manic depressive and extremely anxious with migraines and didn't have the energy. I do not recommend this at all and I am really considering stopping birth control altogether as I am about to start Apri and they say the same side effects happen. If you are trying this and have any symptoms especially emotional and the weight, and pain down there from dryness and sex being unbearable STOP ASAP and try something new. Please take care and don't ignore side effects."

Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Acne "Hello everyone! I wanted to share my experience with this birth control so other can have some insight. Anyways, my body took A WHILE to get used to the BC, because I had never been on any kind before. My first month was constant spotting, and the next few had occasional spotting. My mood was a little more irritable for about 4 months, but not to the point that it was ridiculous. Around month 5, I started a strict diet that caused hormonal imbalance and I kinda got out of whack again... but in month 6 I’m great. My skin in GLOWING, more than ever before. My mood is normal again, and my period is regular. On this pill, I gained NO WEIGHT. I’m very active and it did not effect my appetite or physical activity. My sex drive is the same as well. During the first 3 months, my boobs were a bit swollen and slightly tender, but I didn’t mind. This medication has saved my face, and my confidence for that matter. I just had to get through the first few months of my body adapting."

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "I have had absolutely no problems with Tri-Sprintec. I don't have any side effects at all. No weight gain, no mood swings, no depression, no anxiety, no nausea, same sex drive. (No increase in breast size either - I WISH I had that side effect!) I feel exactly the same taking this as I did not taking any birth control. The only difference is my periods are lighter and shorter, and my cramps are no longer severe. By the way, I was really scared to take this because of the negative reviews I read! But before you decide this is a bad pill, give it a try. Every woman's body is different and your experience will just depend on your body!"

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "I am completely satisfied with this pill. Unless you have really bad side effects I wouldn't listen to reviews of people that have been on it for few days only. You have to give your body time to adjust to hormones that you put in, 3-4 months. I am happy with this pill, no side effects at all. It regulated my periods, I know when they're coming and they're short. It keeps my skin clear. No weight gain, slightly bigger breasts but not complaining. No depression, headaches, hair loss or breast soreness. It only costs me $9.99...can't beat that! This pill works perfectly for me."

Ortho Tri-Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Acne "28 yr old- healthy/active nurse. Always had minor acne since college but nothing like what I had a year ago last summer (2011). I blame it on YAZ for messing up my hormones. Painful cystic acne covered my jawline and forehead. I'm talking like 20 cysts at a time. Tried every OTC washes, organic, no caffeine, sugar, dairy, you name it. Nothing worked. Even though I did not want to go on the pill, I had too. ORTHO TRI CYCLEN (no the generic) for almost 7 months and finally it's almost clear. It was BAD first few months but I stuck with it. Give it time. PS: Generic is NOT the same as the real thing. Different fillers causes different reactions!"

Mili (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "I've never written a review but I feel so strongly about this pill I need to share. I've been taking Sprintec for four years, I got switched to this one because of a shortage. I've been taking this pill for three days and I already want to stop. I've had a headache for three days, been so nauseous every time I eat that I have to lay down and close my eyes, my anxiety has been so much worse and I don't feel like doing anything, going to the store, doing my school work or even going on drives with my friends because I’m scared I’ll be so nauseous I’ll throw up. I never want to take this pill again and will be stopping immediately. If I could rate it -100 I would"

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control "This birth control for me has only really done me a few favors and that’s being free and not getting me pregnant. However that being said, the side effects I can’t justify I recently turned 18 and started taking the pill my first month was fine but the more I take it the worse I’m getting I’m having constant anxiety and panic attacks I always feel extremely worried stressed and overwhelmed. I’m very irritable and impatient, not to mention it gives me horrendous headaches and recently extreme nausea and vomiting. Not to get into too much detail, but just absolutely projectile vomiting everywhere. Feeling very feverish hot and cold sweats not to mention for period cramps, it does nothing my cramps feel just as bad as they were before and my period is just as heavy and maybe even a little longer my sex drive has definitely decreased and sex is painful I nearly bleed a little each time. It’s causing me to go crazy and I have trouble even sleeping w some of the symptoms."

I noticed the change almost immediately by day 4 I threw the pack away. My husband noticed that I was easily angered, was crying for everything and seemed depressed. I had tried them about 2 years ago and had the same problem. Every body is different but I'm sharing my experience because the pharmacist made it seem as if I was crazy. You know your body!"
