"This pill is awful! Wish I would have read these reviews before starting. THIS IS ALL TRUE-- depression, anxiety, headaches, nightmares, nausea, weight gain, sore breasts, tired all the time. I've only been on it 3 days (just threw away the pack) and very in touch with my body. I knew immediately that this was the cause of all these negative symptoms. I will NEVER ingest this pill again!"

"I literally hate this birth control. It gave me horrible stomach bloating and made my sex drive completely shut off. The absolute worst thing was that I kept getting yeast infections. I had 15 infections in a time span of 1 year. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me, so I finally stopped taking this BC, and I haven't had one since. Avoid this BC at all costs."

"I have been using Taytulla for just over 6 months. It is by far the best experience I have had so far using birth control. Other birth control left me with a wide range of emotions and random crying. I consulted my OB-GYN, and she recommended Taytulla, which has a lower estrogen level. I feel like a happier person, and my emotions are much more stable! The only side effect I have experienced was weight gain. I live a very active lifestyle and gained about 7 lbs."

"I took Taytulla for 3 months and finished my last pack 2 weeks ago. The past 3 months I... have had shorter cycles but spotting in between cycles each month, so shorter cycles mean nothing to me if I’m just going to spot all month. increase in headaches, NO SEX DRIVE, like at all! This is NOT normal! Especially for us newlyweds who waited."

"After taking Taytulla, I developed serious blood clots in my lungs, which led to a pulmonary embolism. I didn’t show many side effects until the blood clots grew in size. I’m a healthy 18-year-old who’s never had health problems before, so be careful. If left untreated, you can have a stroke or even die. My first sign that something was wrong was extreme shortness of breath and an extremely fast heartbeat. I was hospitalized and now will be on blood thinners for the next 3 months to help them go away."

"I am a first-time birth control user, and I wanted a more natural pill. I have been taking Taytulla for almost a year now. The only symptoms I noticed after I first started were occasional nausea, headaches, and random spotting. Now I don't notice any side symptoms, and I don't have a period unless I don't take Taytulla for a week. Even after missing a week, I didn't experience any side effects again. Just that my painful period came back. I'm not entirely sure that this birth control doesn't affect my emotions/moods because I have had a life-changing year. All in all, I love not having painful cramps or periods anymore and feel safe."

"I have been on Taytulla for 3 months and have had my period since I started taking the pill. (That’s a fourth of the year!) I have had cramps the entire time as well. About 2 years ago I was on Taytulla and had no problems up until the last month of taking it. I had terrible mood swings and awful cramps. So my doctor recommended I try it again and have had awful results. I do not recommend this form of birth control."

"This birth control seemed great. Started it in June to control endometriosis and had very few problems with mood, etc. It completely stopped my periods. About 3.5 months after starting this pill, I started having MASSIVE hair loss. Clumps of hair falling out, nothing slowing it down at all. After reading another similar review, I decided to stop the birth control pill to see if it could be the cause. Within 3 days of stopping the BCP, my hair loss started to dramatically slow. I had a lot of hair to begin with, I've lost probably 40 percent of my hair. Would really suggest trying another pill."

"I was happy on TriSprintec for years but then experienced persistent vaginal dryness. My doctor said it was probably hormonal and switched me to Taytulla. Now, 2 months in, my dryness seems much better. I had minor spotting the week before my period (which is normal when you switch birth control) and an extremely light period during the non-active pills. I lost about 5 pounds. I had my first episode of BV ever during/after my first period on Taytulla, but my doctor said it's probably not related to switching pills. My skin didn't break out. My mood and anxiety levels feel unchanged, and I have had mild-moderate anxiety on and off in the past. My sex drive also seems good-maybe even a little higher on this pill. Overall, I am extremely happy with Taytulla. Everyone is different, so don't be afraid of negative reviews. It might take a few different pills before you find the right one for you. Be patient and trust your doctor-not necessarily everything you read on the internet."

"At first, I was pretty hesitant to try Taytulla after all the horrific reviews I read. But I figured I would give it a shot. I tried Seasonique for over a year, I would get a lot of clotting while on that pill and gained about 25 pounds. I was also getting a lot of hormonal acne, so I decided to switch to Trinessa. Five months of Trinessa, my period was all out of whack, my acne was worsening, and I had terrible mood swings, which was not ideal. I switched to Taytulla after two months of this new birth control, my first period was very light, no headaches, my coworkers say I'm happier, and no cramps. I feel everyone's body is different, so hopefully, others don't think all the bad reviews will happen to them and that they try for themselves. Also, my insurance covered it at 100%."

"I have only been on Taytulla for 5 days, and I had a major emotional breakdown today and realized my anxiety has been getting worse and worse daily! Today was the worst I have ever been, and usually I'm a pretty calm soul! My husband said, 'You need to get off that BC immediately.' I have had a tubal and was given samples of this to try to control my periods, which are irregular and usually last 2 weeks. I'd rather have a 2-week-long horrible period than put my family through me acting the way I did today. I'll be flushing the rest of these samples. Back to the drawing board, doc."

"If you have an anxiety disorder, do not take Taytulla birth control. I have it, and taking the first pill, my heart rate increased, I was shaking, sweating, and felt really bad. Probably, it works for people without an anxiety disorder. But it is not for me!"

"I took Taytulla after I had my first child, and it was good for about a month. Then I started gaining a whole bunch of weight, and I didn't know why. I did not eat much junk, and I had a pretty balanced diet, but with all the weight gain, my doc prescribed me a diet pill. It worked, but I never lost more than 10 lb. Now my husband and I are trying to conceive and have been off the pill for 5 months, but I have not had one period, no spotting, nothing. I feel like this pill messed up my ovulation. I don't know if that is even possible, but once I got off the pill, I did lose some weight, but still no period."

"Taytulla is the third birth control I've tried, and I love it. I barely get a period anymore (light spotting), which is great for me because I used to experience really heavy bleeding and awful cramps. I've experienced some changes in appetite, but with no weight gain, my anxiety hasn't worsened (a severe side effect of another pill I was on), and my cramps are relatively non-existent. I plan on continuing to use this birth control for a long time."

"I’ve spent so much money on pregnancy tests because this birth control makes me feel pregnant, weight gain, boobs getting bigger, nauseous, body cramps, migraines, and I have very light bleeding for only a few days a month. It scares me!"

"I started this two months ago, and at first, was apprehensive with the great or horrible reviews. People either loved it or hated it. Luckily for me, I am quite fond of it. It has helped my acne and overall skin. I did have slight breast tenderness and growth the first month (from a small B to a large B, sometimes C). Period-wise, my periods are shorter, and cramps aren't as bad, but not nonexistent. I have had slight weight gain (120-124). Overall, I really like this birth control, it has done its job in not getting me pregnant!"

"I've been taking this birth control for a couple of months, and it has been an emotional rollercoaster. Shortness of breath, nausea, weight gain, horrible menstrual cramps, periods in between periods. It's been awful. I would not recommend this pill to anyone."

"After reading some pretty bad reviews on here, I was pretty hesitant to try this, but after being on Mibelas for about two years, I started having stomach pain and breakthrough bleeding, so my doctor prescribed this. Only been on it for a month, but I feel great!! Had a little cramping and spotting in between periods, but nothing crazy. Everyone is different when it comes to birth control, so don’t let negative reviews stop you from trying it! It also takes your body about three months to really adjust to the hormones anyway. Good luck out there!"

"I was almost too scared to try Taytulla after reading the horrific reviews, but I’m on month three and Taytulla has been working WONDERS!! I switched from a very high dosage birth control, and I was really scared my body would go whacky on this. My only side effects have been acne and more frequent headaches around the time of my bleed within the first two months, but it’s gotten so much better. My periods are really light and painless. My mood is so much more stable, my anxiety has decreased, I feel a lot more full of life and energy! This pill is the one for me. Everyone’s body responds to these medications differently, so don’t let bad reviews scare you away from giving this pill a try. So far, it has worked wonderfully for me!"

"Y'all!!! So I had the worst experience with BC a few years back and haven't been on one since because I was so scared. I decided to give it another try years later, and my doctor prescribed me Taytulla. This BC is a life changer! Completely cleared up my acne, no mental side effects (this was a big one for me), no weight gain. I mean, this stuff truly is the best. At the beginning, my periods were very irregular but started regulating itself at pack 3. Sadly, my insurance doesn't cover it anymore, so I will be switching, but I am so sad about it. If you are scared to try birth control again like me, this is a good place to start!"

"I've been on Taytulla for 3 months now after my pharmacy told me Minastrin 24 is being discontinued. I had a smooth transition from Minastrin to Taytulla, meaning no breakthrough bleeding, but my actual periods have been a lot heavier and my cramps a lot worse on Taytulla. In addition, I've experienced periodic breast tenderness and am sometimes overly sensitive. I have also gained five pounds after starting this pill (105 lbs to 110 lbs). I'm sure no one else can notice the change in weight, but I certainly do when my shorts no longer fit me. I am going to give it one more month and then will consider switching to another generic of Minastrin."

"The most debilitating week of my life! Extreme fatigue, extreme nausea, leg cramps, breast tenderness, acne, mood swings, heart palpitations. I threw it out after 7 days. Please take caution when using this."

"Stay away! Save yourself. After taking this BC, I began to experience depression and anxiety, then I began to bleed for 10+ days. This then caused me to stress even more because bleeding for a month isn’t enjoyable, so my mood decreased even more. Due to this BC, I’ve had to be prescribed anxiety and depression meds and was referred to a counselor. I’d honestly rather be pregnant than deal with constant bleeding and mental health issues."

"I took Taytulla for about 2 months before I started to experience insane vaginal pains. Pains that felt like a UTI. I was 18 and felt like I had a UTI every single day. I was in constant pain and my sex drive completely ended due to not wanting to enhance the pain. After about 2 and a half months in, I stopped taking it. The pains lessened slightly but were still there. I've gone to countless doctors for these pains and I've had multiple different diagnoses. After consulting a urologist, she determined my digestive organs aren't working together. This is an effect of Taytulla that I live with every day. Now I have to take Flomax and a laxative every day just to have normal functioning organs and no pain. After doing my research, I believe it's because of such high dosages. Taytulla has completely ruined my body to the point where I can't function without pills. These side effects are still around after almost a year, and will be around likely for the rest of my life."

"I have been on Taytulla for 6 months now, and it has made me extremely depressed. I started feeling these symptoms 3 months in but decided to give it some time before cutting it off. I barely leave my house anymore, I never hang out with my friends. I am always sad, nervous, tired, and anxious. I have trouble gaining motivation to attend school. Overall, it has just made me extremely depressed, and this will be the last packet I take of it. It has done a great job at preventing pregnancy, but the emotional distress just isn't worth it anymore."
