For Birth Control "I started taking this in May, and I have not had a period since. Mine were awful, missing school and socializing with family and friends. I have not gained any weight. I have been moody, and my breasts are very tender 24/7 and have gotten bigger. I would recommend this birth control for anyone who had to go through heck for a week. I do take mine at night, so I don't get nauseated at all!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for two weeks. My breasts are so sore it's ridiculous, and I'm very nauseous, but the reason I started this birth control was because I had a very high sex drive and I wanted a birth control that would calm it down. Well, this definitely works, a little too well. I don't want it at all anymore. But on the plus side, I've been craving fruits and veggies, the thought of any kind of meat grosses me out. Weird, right? I like this pill if the nausea would go away and my breasts would stop being so tender!"

For Birth Control "While it prevented pregnancy, but the side effects actually got worse over time. I started out on Loestrin 24, which was great after I got used to it. Then I went on Gildess, which was okay. Then my pharmacy switched me to the Microgestin. It was cheaper, so I stuck with it. I think I was on it for 1.5-2 years before I couldn't stand it. I just became so insanely emotional and PMS-y. It started 2 weeks before my period. I also had the breast tenderness and sugar cravings like crazy. The awful moodiness went away once I switched birth control. I didn't have a lot of spotting-although I also didn't have a period for the first 3-4 months. I had semi-bad cramps during the inactive week."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for almost 5 months now, and initially the only side effect I experienced was extremely sore and tender breasts. I've been nauseous all the time, and I hate even the thought of eating food. My appetite sucks. I have to take anti-nausea medicine daily. My irregular periods are regulated and light."

For Birth Control "I have been taking it for 5 months (have only been sexually active for the last). The most recent three months, I have always started my bleeding between the 2nd and 3rd week and don't bleed at all on the inactive pills. I have mild cramping and nausea/feelings similar to my menses during the bleeding. I haven't asked my doctor about this yet. Other than that, I have experienced no mood swings, no weight gain, no unpleasant symptoms. My acne cleared up. I do find vaginal dryness to be an issue, but I am not willing to chalk it up to the pill yet since both I and my husband are new at this. Also, my breasts are relatively tender. I did think they had grown a bit even before I read all the reviews, but the change is hardly perceptible."

For Birth Control "I've been on Microgestin for only 2 weeks now, and so far I love it! I don't want to jinx it by writing this review, but so far I've had no breakthrough bleeding, and I'm not having to worry about spotting or even discharge! My sex drive is crazy. The only complaint is that my nipples are a little tender, and my breasts have actually gone a cup size smaller! But so far, no headaches or weight gain, other than sometimes I do feel the urge to just eat all day!"

For Birth Control "Yes, everyone's body is different, but while taking the Microgestin pill, I had a lighter period, which was a plus. But I also felt really nauseous at times, tender boobs, bloating, weight gain, and a very low sex drive, which was the main reason I stopped taking it."

For Birth Control "I started on this pill about two years ago because I requested my doctor to give me a low hormone pill that wouldn't give me crazy side effects. I almost instantly noticed I started to gain weight with it, but I couldn't say how much because it's always seeming to fluctuate. I would still get a light 3-day period at the same time each month, which is fine because I didn't want any pregnancy scares. Within the past year, I've been experiencing the worst PMS I've ever had, and it was already bad before the pill. I have extreme fatigue and mood swings that are starting to interfere with daily life, my breasts seem to almost always be tender and swollen even after my period, and my skin texture has been fluctuating as well. Recently, it seems like I always have several spots on my face when I used to only break out on my period. Hoping to switch to something else soon."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this pill for a good 4 months now. My breasts were very tender for the first two months, and mood swings were horrible. I snapped at my boyfriend about everything. Periods do come within a day of when they are supposed to, which is a plus, and knock on wood I am still not pregnant. Also... my acne is NOT gone! It hasn't helped my face at all! My back and chest are much better, but my face hasn't gotten any help. One other thing... it didn't seem to help any with cramps, but mine were always mild in general, so I don't know how much more it could be reduced."

For Birth Control "I am in my 6th month of Microgestin Fe 1/20, and I have mixed feelings about it. My doctor switched me from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo because of my horrible mood swings with that. This pill, while it does help with the mood swings, seems to make me more apathetic towards everything. I hate the feeling of indifference, but it sure does beat the outbursts. However, being a dancer and in awesome physical shape, I now find myself with 'muffin top'... the excess fat around the waist that overlaps the pants. I have a constant feeling of dry mouth and find myself drinking almost 80 oz. of water a day; most of which is likely retained. Also, extremely sensitive breasts. Showers hurt! So, I have mixed feelings about Microgestin, but I will most likely continue to use."

For Birth Control "I was put on this medication to help with pain associated with endometriosis. I have suffered with it for years. When I first started it, I had breakthrough bleeding, extremely sore breasts, and mood swings. Eventually, after a couple of months, my body adjusted and the breast tenderness subsided pretty much, and I no longer had irregular bleeding. I was instructed to take this medicine for 3 months continuously and have a period only once every 3 months. I also suffer from migraines, so my doctor put me on Topomax 50 mg to help prevent them. The medicines interacted with each other, and I bled so heavily and had labor-like cramps. I stopped Topomax, and my body still hasn't regulated."

"I have been on this pill for about 4 months, and it has been helpful. My cramping has gotten less severe, and I don't seem to be experiencing any side effects. My acne has gotten better, and my breasts are occasionally sore, but nothing too extreme. There has been no change in my sex drive, my only issue is that I miss my period occasionally."

"To be quite fair, this pill works in a sense that I did not get pregnant. Becoming pregnant in this last month would be almost impossible for the fact I haven't had the want or need to have sex in a month. I have no libido on this pill, and my relationship is tanking. Along with no libido in a month, I have gained weight, more acne than I've had in years, my breast tenderness wasn't as bad on this pill, but it was still there. No nausea as I was expecting, but I have no energy no matter how well I eat or go to the gym. Would not recommend this, save yourself and find something else."

For Birth Control "This is the third type of pill I've been on and it's basically the same as my previous. I feel as if this gives me more breast tenderness and doesn't help with my cramping as much, but hey, it could just be because our bodies grow and change constantly."

For Birth Control "10/10 recommend. It doesn’t have any side effects for me except tender breasts, which I have always had prior to my cycle. No mood swings, no sickness, or anything."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking this pill, I had irregular periods and some slight mood swings for the first couple of months. Now I have regular periods that are very light and last about two days. No cramps or nausea, and I haven't noticed a weight change. The cons for me are lack of sex drive and tender breasts."
