For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 3 months now after I was switched from Lomedia 24 Fe. The first week was a little rough. I felt nauseous and bad headaches, but that went away after a week. My period is 3 days, light cramping, and no noticeably different PMS symptoms. I was actually really scared to switch to this pill based on these reviews, but I am relieved to report that this pill reacts in the same way as my previous pill. My skin has actually gotten clearer as well! So far, I am pleased with this pill."

For Birth Control "Awful. I've been on birth control for 10 years, and I've never had a reaction like this. I was on Junel before they switched me to Blisovi. Ever since, I've been extremely moody/irritable, it made me feel anxious and lethargic. I can only describe it as feeling crazy. I can tell my reactions are irrational, but my emotions are getting the better of me (so much so that it's been straining my relationship). When I restarted the pack after my week off, I became nauseous and had headaches all day the first day taking it. I was scared to take it again the second day but thought my body would adjust. It's been three months, and if anything, the symptoms are getting worse. Wouldn't recommend to ANYONE."

For Birth Control "I was originally prescribed something else, then I somehow got switched to Guildess Fe, which wasn't too bad. I was getting headaches every day with those. Now, the insurance sent me Blisovi Fe. Since I have been taking the Blisovi, my period has increased in length, cramps in intensity, and heaviness in bleeding, including clots. I'm hungry almost all the time, and my bra no longer fits completely (size D, before the pill). The only thing this pill is effective in is keeping you from getting pregnant. I had a scare, and I did not get pregnant. But I never missed a pill and took it at the same time every day, which I was told makes it more effective. I am switching to an IUD soon because I cannot keep taking different BC brands without warning."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for a little over a year. This was the first and only birth control I have used so far, and I have had a good experience. I was put on this to help with cramps that were too severe, they were causing me to vomit. Within the first 2 months of using this, I started to feel a million times better during my period. Only recently have my cramps become more painful. I'm most likely going to be switched to something with a slightly higher dosage due to my cramps beginning to worsen, but this medication still helped me nonetheless. I do think that it has caused me to have headaches nearly every night, though. The headaches are better than the crippling pain of cramps, though."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill because I had irregular periods and was really tired and thought it was going to help me. After the third day of taking it, I started having nausea, vomiting, and headache. Then I started having very bad mood swings to the point that I would get mad at every single person around me. It gave me anxiety, depression, and every bad side effect you can think of. I will never take this pill again."

For Birth Control "My personal experience was a nightmare that ended up with me in the ER. I was prescribed Blisovi 24 Fe to eliminate bleeding. The first two weeks I thought I was a little emotional, a little more tired and hungry - but nothing I would report to a doctor on. It’s the third week I started getting migraines. I would take Aleve, migraine medicine daily (I’ve had the migraine medication for two years that I never really needed before I was now). It all culminated with a racing heart, headache with pain through my jaw, and so much anxiety I was convinced I was having a heart attack. A HEART ATTACK!!! I’m three days off this medicine, and I already feel like myself again! This was not for me at all. I’ll take a hysterectomy over one more of these awful pills. If researching methods to stop heavy bleeding, I’d advise trying other options first."

For Birth Control "My daughter is 15 and has very heavy periods. Her doctor recommended this pill to help. It has been a complete nightmare! And it's only been 6 weeks. She has had some GI issues in the past, so we thought the issues were due to that. However, within the first month (close to her period), she was in severe pain: lower abdominal with back, shoulder, leg pains with tingling, headaches, dizziness, vomiting, 4 lb weight gain (and she's very active), bloated, loss of appetite, acne around her mouth and chin, and then all of a sudden the extreme depression and anxiety. Due to her previous issues, we didn't equate it to the pill. We've been to hospitals, specialists, and not once did anyone say anything about the birth control she was on. After reading the reviews of Blisovi, it all made sense. We are taking her off of this starting today. This is a very dangerous drug!"

For Birth Control "I would NOT recommend Blisovi Fe to ANYONE. The only reason that I switched to this pill to begin with is because my insurance company stopped covering name brands. The first few months I thought the weight gain and mood swings were just side effects of having a baby earlier, and that they would subside after the first few months. Boy, was I wrong. I gained almost 40 lbs in 6 months, my depression and anxiety have both skyrocketed, and it’s come to the point that I can’t even take care of my son to my best ability because I get such terrible back pain and headaches. Not to mention that breakthrough bleeding has become a “normal” and frequent occurrence from month to month. Despite the fact that it’s managed to prevent pregnancy and somewhat regulate my period, I cannot wait to get to my doctor and get off this pill. If you are considering Blisovi Fe as a contraceptive, start considering otherwise. Do NOT take this birth control, it will ruin your life."

For Birth Control "I am so glad I looked on this website!! I'm glad I am not alone. Like many others, my insurance/pharmacy switched me from Microgestin (on for 2 years with no issues) to Junel (on for 3 years with no issues) and now to Blisovi (I've been on it for 3 months). I gained 10 lb in the first month with Blisovi. I work out and eat healthy and have been the same size since I was 18 (I am 29), and the weight is not coming off! In addition, acne has been uncontrollable and unpredictable. I have been bleeding more days than not since I've been using this pill (feels more like 3 weeks on, one week off), and I've been getting headaches and jitters. Stay away if you can!!!"

For Birth Control "I was switched to Blisovi when my doctor increased my dosage after 6 years on Reclipsen. After 2 months, I am still having headaches, extreme breast pain, back pain, random spotting (usually 2 weeks before my period is supposed to happen). I have never missed a period in 16 years and didn't have one once I started this pill, but have spotted and had cramps and breast pain throughout the pack. The side effects are terrible. I'm active and eat healthy, but still have constant bloating, breast discomfort, and I'm exhausted. Trying to get on a new pill as soon as possible. I won't give this another month."

For Birth Control "This is my first month on this pill to control fibroids. The doctor prescribed this because the previous pills were giving me long and very painful periods and tons of bleeding. Well, last night I woke up with nausea, I got my period one week in advance, I'm having heavy bleeding and strange headaches. I will stop this pill immediately. Last month without any pills, I had a normal period. These pills are a mess."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this pill for about 2 months. It works great for preventing pregnancy. This is the only form of protection I use, and I haven't gotten pregnant, so that's nice. However, I have had some unfortunate side effects, including pretty intense nausea and headaches. My anxiety and depression worsened a lot. I would suggest that if you have a history of depression and/or anxiety, do not take this medication! However, if you're pretty mentally stable, I think it's a great option! It didn't make my periods heavy and constant like Nexplanon did."

For Birth Control "I recently started Blisovi to help with my very heavy and lengthy periods. I have uterine fibroids and PCOS. The drug did seem to help shorten my period this month and help clear my skin. However, the side effects have been frightening. I only took three of the pills before stopping because my head hurt like nothing I have ever felt. A blistering, searing pain akin to the flu. My eyes burned. My neck and back ached like I had the flu. I was (am still) nauseated and exhausted. Perhaps worse than that, I am mean. Irrationally irritable and teary. The third day I took the pill, I began to feel almost disconnected from reality. I felt more like I was taking a narcotic than a birth control. I have taken other oral contraceptives and never experienced anything akin to this. I will absolutely never take another dose of this stuff."

For Birth Control "For 10 years, I took Loryna. That birth control was awesome, but it made my testosterone levels so low that we needed to change it. My doctor recommended Blisovi 24 Fe. This is my second week, and the nausea is terrible. I can’t sleep because of it, and then the next morning the same. I gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks! I'm an active person who works out 3-4 times a week, and I don't eat differently. Headaches too. And something weird happened one day: my legs itched so bad. It wasn’t an allergy... I don’t know what I’m gonna do."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for three months now. I had headaches the first two weeks, but those went away. Made me break out at first, but cleared up after just over two months. I did notice mood swings which have progressively gotten worse, and I have said and done things that I would not normally say or do. However, it is manageable. My confidence has plummeted and I have gained 12 pounds. My appetite has definitely increased. I am very active and have always been lean and able to eat whatever I want, but even with dieting and rigorous exercise, I can’t seem to lose any of the weight I’ve gained. My experience hasn’t been terrible, and most of the adverse side effects are easy to live with (other than my insatiable appetite!). My skin is slightly clearer, but much larger, and periods are shorter and lighter, although PMS and cramping aren’t any better."

For Birth Control "I had switched over from Sprintec to this in September, and at first, it was fine. My periods were spotty, and sometimes I would miss one. About 2-3 months in, I started to get headaches all the time, and I would randomly become very nauseous at night, which would keep me up for hours. I also noticed I was very irritable, and the smallest thing would set me off. I have now switched to a new pill, and I have felt better on this one."

"I just started this Blisovi 24 Fe birth control pill yesterday, and I feel weird. I had a headache all day yesterday, I feel groggy and tired. I'm also cranky, but I have my period, so I don’t know if it’s that or this pill. I hope it doesn’t continue like this."

For Birth Control "This birth control was horrible for me. My GYN prescribed it for painful periods due to ovarian cysts and endometriosis. The first few days, I was plagued by headaches and nausea. Once that resolved, my mood took a swan dive, and I became depressed and would cry over anything remotely upsetting. Then, by the end of the second week, I started having breakthrough bleeding, and that continued for five days. By day five, I decided to take myself off the medication. Once I did that, I was greeted with a terrible migraine. I'd rather suffer through painful periods than deal with any of this."

For Birth Control "Took this birth control for 2 months. Gave me headaches, constant cramps, and nausea, which I understand is somewhat common for the adjustment period, however, the anxiety I experienced while taking this was UNBEARABLE. An actual living nightmare. I was having a full-blown panic attack every single day, if not more than one, to the point where I was actually sleeping at my parents' house every night because my level of functioning/mental stability was so low. Also, it somehow managed to make my period worse than it already was. Do not recommend."

For Birth Control "I literally just started taking this birth control pill yesterday. Despite the negative reviews I have seen, I still decided to take it. So far, so good, the only side effect I am experiencing is headaches, but I heard that is your body getting adjusted to it. I started taking it the Sunday after my period started. I would not be on this pill for that long, just for a few months."

For Birth Control "This BC pill is awful. Horrible headache that stayed for the entire time on the pill. Horrible stomach pains. Had to quit it. Not the same as Lomedia 24 FE!"
