"I’ve been on Sronyx for a little over a month and the first two weeks I was a mess. I would cry over everything, it was hard for me to eat because of the nausea, and I was spotting. After that, even though I spotted for a better portion of the month, I was fine. My period was light, shorter, and less painful. I gained about three pound in those two weeks, but I already lost it. It was a roller coaster but I do recommend this pill just because it helps a boat load after the initial storm. Plus side, I’m also not pregnant and my sex drive stayed the same."

"I started using the pill for the first time 3 months ago due to TERRIBLE cramps, periods every 3 weeks lasting 7 days, extreme mood swings, and just overall miserable, painful periods. When I started on Sronyx I had nausea with mild headaches for the first couple of days. After that those symptoms went away. My periods still started on the 3rd week, so my periods lasted for 2 whole weeks. This happened for 3 months. I am switching to Seasonique, because I need a heavier dosage. Had Sronyx been a little stronger it would have worked well. My cramps were much more bearable and the bleeding was less. Overall it's a good pill, just not the one for me."

"This birth control is probably the best one. It's the first one I tried and I love it. No side effects AT ALL. I am exactly the same as when I was not on it. I have now been on it for 2 months and it has been perfect. Definitely recommend it!"

"This pill is ok. But it causes severe cramping. And mood swings. Irritability and crying seem to be a big issue I couldn't deal with. I was hungry all the time. Severe abdominal bloating was associated. Not sure if it was water weight or what. But I eat well. Normally no sugar in my diet. Run 2 miles a day 5 days a week and a ton of water. But this pill made me gain weight. After 6 months I got off and have switched to nuvaring. I love it no side effects this far."

"I was only on Sronyx about a month and by the last week of it, I felt extremely depressed and anxious to where I had to go to the doctor to her prescribed something. I’ve had depression and anxiety before but never to this extent to where I literally had no control no matter what I tried. I won’t be using this again and now I’m reluctant to using any birth control. I was having thoughts I’d never normally have before and it was scary. I was a total mess. Couldn’t eat, drink, work, anything."

"My doctor prescribed this Birth Control to me to help resolve the intense cramping and heavy bleeding I have on my period. I have been taking the pill for two days and I can already tell that this will be struggle. I have already started vomiting, getting headaches and nausea and like I said, it's only been a couple of days. Hoping that my experience gets better."

"I took this birth control about 6 months and I am very moody and I cry over everything that happens to me. I get headaches very easily after I started to take this pills. Everytime I had sex, it wasn't as good as it used to be, and now I've been off for over a month now, and I am not moody, but I have one of the side effect of quitting birth control which is I haven't got period. I am very nervous about this as well."

"I was nervous to start this birthcontrol because of all of the negative reviews. I've only been on it for about a week, and so far my stomach has felt quite uneasy and I'm very tired. I've had these side effects with each hormone therapy I've tried at the beginning. So far so good. I'll review again after I've been on it for a while. I think finding the right progesterone/estrogen combo is key. I was on Climara Pro for a while and loved it. It has the same progesterone as Sronyx."

"I have very mixed feelings about this pill. On one hand... The pros: - No more 7 day, murder scene-like periods. Now they're just 3 or 4 days. - Clearer skin - Less suicidal tendencies - Higher libido. Mind you, it wasn't low beforehand either. However... The cons: - As most of the other commentors have mentioned, weight gain. It's month 9 and I'm pretty sure that I've gained 15-17lbs. - More prone to crying - Cramps. I didn't have those pre-this-BC. Not a fan. - Increased cravings for weird stuff. Like crushed ice and gaucemole, although that may just be my anemia... - Higher libido. This is a two way street. Now that I'm in college and attempting to date, I can't afford to be this horny. Luckily, I have self control. - Moods"

"I tried birth control in college (Lo Estrin) and it was terrible. Mood changes made me act like a demon to my roommates, boobs grew, terrible nausea. Sronyx was recommended by my OBGYN and I love it! I have a gained a little weight and experience nausea from time to time but otherwise I don’t notice any side effects. Tried the generic Nutera and it gave me headaches so yeah they are not the same don’t let the pharmacist tell you otherwise!!"

"This medicine is absolutely terrible. After three months of using it my hair has fallen out so much so that I can see my scalp very visibly and it's very very embarrassing. I stopped taking it and am now considering a copper iud. No more hormones for me."

"I have been taking Syronx to calm my cramping and bleeding on my period and I have not been pleased. I take my pill around 8:30 every night and since I have been taking it I have woken up each night with nausea, dizziness, and bloating. I am not too pleased."

"I have just finished my Second month on Sronyx. First of all I had clear skin before I started taking this birth control pill, right after I began to take the pills my forehead started to breakout in pimples. I was very unhappy about that but my doctor told me to wait it out for the first 3 months in order for my body to adjust to the hormones. While on my second month I broke out BAD the week before my period but it was due to my period coming up. My only side effect is me breaking out, if it weren't for that I would be giving it a 10! I have no other side effects or mood swings which I love and it actually helps me control my hunger I don't feel as hungry as I did before which has helped me lose about 8 lbs!"

"The best thing this pill Sronyx did was clear my skin. Coming OFF of it however gave me the worst breakouts of my life. I also liked how my sex drive was high/normal using this pill. The one thing it didn’t do was help my cramps. It did for about a year, then my periods went back to how bad they’ve always been. I recommend this nevertheless."

"I’ve been on Sronyx for 4 months now and I love it! I cried constantly for the first week, but other than that, I have not had any negative side effects. No weight gain, no mood swings, no anxiety/ depression (and I am somebody who is diagnosed with both!). Here are the positives I experienced: higher sex drive, my bra size went from a DD to a DDD, no pregnancy (my boyfriend and I got lazy about condoms for a few weeks and he never pulled out and I was still good!). I can’t really say much about how it’s worked for my acne, since I started accutane a week after starting the bc. I am so thankful that this has worked out for me, I saw so many bad reviews on this website and almost didn’t take it because I got so scared. Everybody reacts differently to different medications. It’s always worth it to give it a try (unless you have a legitimate medical reason not to of course!)."

"I was on Sronyx birth control for a little over a year. Throughout that year, I had become extremely depressed and full of anxiety. I became a totally different person and was miserable constantly. I had no idea, at the time, that it had anything to do with the birth control. For the last few months, I have been having extremely long periods. I’m talking three weeks. I talked to my gynecologist, and we switched to a new birth control pill. Wow I feel completely back to normal. I really wish I hadn’t taken this pill for so long. I knew about the normal side effects like nausea and those were fine with me. They came and went. But if you take this medication and experience depression, talk to your doctor. This birth-control can work great for some people. It was not at all a good fit for me. Long periods, depression, crippling anxiety. Not worth it to me."

"When I first got the Sronyx birth control pill it literally took me about a week in a half to take it. I was afraid because all the reviews seemed really bad and I didn’t wanna deal with any dramatic changes just yet. I was afraid that I would become depressed and sad. It’s been 3 weeks in and I’m pretty satisfied so far. The only side effects that I've gotten are being a little sensitive, I’ve cried for no reason at times but I mean it’s not that big of a deal and then also feeling bloated. So again they’re not that big of a deal and I think that everyone should give this pill a try because everyone’s body works differently so you don’t know how you’ll react to it unless you take it. Give it a try for at least a month and if you don’t like it, change to something else or get off it completely."

"I am 33 and have been off of birth control for 9 years. Reading reviews for birth control (generally) is terrifying and I really think everyone reacts differently. That said, I was previously on Cryselle-28 and had no negative side effects (also, no pregnancies) but when I stopped taking it, I just felt better. So, this time around, I decided to try a different birth control and went with Sronyx based on online reviews. I am generally in good health and have regular periods, no mental issues, etc. THE GOOD: Sronyx definitely bumped me up half a cup size, no weight gain, no hair loss, no skin change, no pregnancy. THE BAD: turned me into a very unstable version of myself. I was severely anxious, depressed, and experienced panic attacks. This is the first time in my life I've ever experienced such emotional swings and paranoia. I noticed the side effects within days of starting Sronyx. I stayed on it for the full month but nothing improved. Now I am going back to Cryselle!"

"Well I've been on sronyx for about 9 months now. I was prescribed this as a change from my old birth control (can't recall name). The only reason why I changed was because the pill would make me hate my boyfriend and I would be in the worst mood all the time. The change has definitely been worth it. I didn't gain weight with either pills or broke out. My boobs would get tender and really sensitive. but I guess that's normal I'm definitely not as moody as before ."

"I was taking this medication for two years and I never had any problems with it whatsoever. I started it mainly to regulate my period because I was very irregular. With the Syronx, I had a period every month. At first it would start on Sunday and go to the next Sunday, then it went to Wednesday night-Sunday night. I never had any moodiness, acne, weight gain or any side effects from it. Unfortunately my doctor made me stop using it due to "high blood pressure" I always take my blood pressure at home and it is usually 134/80. Of course it is going to be high at a doctors office. I am now on a all hormones pill called Nora-Be which I started yesterday morning. Not sure how I feel about not having an off week for the "sugar pills.""

"I have been taking Sronyx for about 3 or 4 months now andI have constant nausea and/ or feeling of cramping even when not on my period. When I did get my period I passed a blood clot that was larger then a quarter it gives me back pain that I am not used to experiencing until taking this pill. I guess the positive would be it is pretty good with preventing pregnancy just has way to many negative side effects for me"

"This birth control is the absolute worst. I have had a past with acne and i’ve been so insecure about it and when I got on birth control I was so excited that it could help my acne and then it made it 20 times worse. My acne has never been this bad in my life! It’s also made me extremely angry all the time for no reason and made my breasts hurt so bad to the point where I couldn’t touch them without feeling like they were covered in bruises. do not recommend"

"I have been taking Sronyx for 2 months. I have been on birth control for over 10 years on and off. Sronyx has made me breakout so bad on my chin and jawline. I didn't really correlate the acne to this pill until I went to get a facial to try and help my skin and she told me that acne on the chin and jaw is hormonal. I then started doing research to find out many people have had problems with acne on this pill. This is a deal breaker for me, especially since I am getting married in 2 months. I have stopped taking it as of today and hope my skin will clear up in time for the wedding!"

"I liked this pill a lot after switching from Ortho Tri Cyclen. I was able to lose the weight that I had gained with Ortho Tri Cyclen, and I haven't been craving food all the time. This pill hasn't negatively affected my skin as far as I can tell, and I haven't had any problems with breakthrough bleeding or irregular periods. I am almost done my second month however, and I have started to notice that my sex drive has seemed to decrease and it has made me constantly dry during intercourse. "

"I’ve been taking it for a couple weeks now, I’ve gotten very bad acne and mood swings like crazy. I cried over chicken noodle soup if that tells ya anything. But it may work for you try it and see. It probably just effects everyone differently. I’m not sure if I should continue too take it or try a new pill."
