"I have been taking Sronyx to calm my cramping and bleeding on my period, and I have not been pleased. I take my pill around 8:30 every night, and since I have been taking it, I have woken up each night with nausea, dizziness, and bloating. I am not too pleased."

"The best thing this pill Sronyx did was clear my skin. Coming off of it, however, gave me the worst breakouts of my life. I also liked how my sex drive was high/normal using this pill. The one thing it didn’t do was help my cramps. It did for about a year, then my periods went back to how bad they’ve always been. I recommend this nevertheless."

"I was on Sronyx birth control for a little over a year. Throughout that year, I had become extremely depressed and full of anxiety. I became a totally different person and was miserable constantly. I had no idea, at the time, that it had anything to do with the birth control. For the last few months, I have been having extremely long periods. I’m talking three weeks. I talked to my gynecologist, and we switched to a new birth control pill. Wow, I feel completely back to normal. I really wish I hadn’t taken this pill for so long. I knew about the normal side effects like nausea, and those were fine with me. They came and went. But if you take this medication and experience depression, talk to your doctor. This birth control can work great for some people. It was not at all a good fit for me. Long periods, depression, crippling anxiety. Not worth it to me."

"When I first got the Sronyx birth control pill, it literally took me about a week and a half to take it. I was afraid because all the reviews seemed really bad, and I didn’t want to deal with any dramatic changes just yet. I was afraid that I would become depressed and sad. It’s been 3 weeks in, and I’m pretty satisfied so far. The only side effects that I've gotten are being a little sensitive, I’ve cried for no reason at times, but I mean it’s not that big of a deal, and then also feeling bloated. So again, they’re not that big of a deal, and I think that everyone should give this pill a try because everyone’s body works differently, so you don’t know how you’ll react to it unless you take it. Give it a try for at least a month, and if you don’t like it, change to something else or get off it completely."

"I literally took the pill once and had the absolute worst side effects. I had headaches, I was vomiting, I had chills, dizziness. This was my first experience with birth control, and it’s honestly scared me from starting any other."

"I am 33 and have been off of birth control for 9 years. Reading reviews for birth control (generally) is terrifying, and I really think everyone reacts differently. That said, I was previously on Cryselle-28 and had no negative side effects (also, no pregnancies), but when I stopped taking it, I just felt better. So, this time around, I decided to try a different birth control and went with Sronyx based on online reviews. I am generally in good health and have regular periods, no mental issues, etc. THE GOOD: Sronyx definitely bumped me up half a cup size, no weight gain, no hair loss, no skin change, no pregnancy. THE BAD: turned me into a very unstable version of myself. I was severely anxious, depressed, and experienced panic attacks. This is the first time in my life I've ever experienced such emotional swings and paranoia. I noticed the side effects within days of starting Sronyx. I stayed on it for the full month, but nothing improved. Now I am going back to Cryselle!"

"Well, I've been on Sronyx for about 9 months now. I was prescribed this as a change from my old birth control (can't recall the name). The only reason why I changed was because the pill would make me hate my boyfriend, and I would be in the worst mood all the time. The change has definitely been worth it. I didn't gain weight with either pill or break out. My boobs would get tender and really sensitive, but I guess that's normal. I'm definitely not as moody as before."

"I am a 23-year-old, and I actually came here to see if people were having the side effects I was. I have been on the pill for 2 weeks and three days! That’s how quickly it took for me to have crazy paranoia and anxiety. I went to the ER because I was convinced I had a blood clot, only for it to be symptoms caused by anxiety. I have chest pains, neck pains, and arm and leg pain. They tested me for DVT and pulmonary embolism. Nothing! But that was three days ago, and I still feel like I’m gonna die. I’m super dizzy, and my right leg swells a little. I stopped immediately because I feel if I kept going, I was going to end up with DVT or worse. Just please be careful."

"This birth control is the absolute worst. I have had a past with acne and I’ve been so insecure about it, and when I got on birth control, I was so excited that it could help my acne, and then it made it 20 times worse. My acne has never been this bad in my life! It’s also made me extremely angry all the time for no reason and made my breasts hurt so bad to the point where I couldn’t touch them without feeling like they were covered in bruises. Do not recommend."

"I have just finished my second month on Sronyx. First of all, I had clear skin before I started taking this birth control pill, right after I began to take the pills, my forehead started to break out in pimples. I was very unhappy about that, but my doctor told me to wait it out for the first 3 months in order for my body to adjust to the hormones. While on my second month, I broke out BAD the week before my period, but it was due to my period coming up. My only side effect is me breaking out, if it weren't for that, I would be giving it a 10! I have no other side effects or mood swings, which I love, and it actually helps me control my hunger. I don't feel as hungry as I did before, which has helped me lose about 8 lbs!"

"I'm taking Sronyx now after switching from Lo Loestrin Fe and it's only been 2 weeks, and I'm already noticing major side effects. Vaginal dryness, itchiness, burning... pain while urinating and just overall discomfort. I hate it. I'm going to make an appointment soon."

"I’ve been on Sronyx for 4 months now, and I love it! I cried constantly for the first week, but other than that, I have not had any negative side effects. No weight gain, no mood swings, no anxiety/depression (and I am somebody who is diagnosed with both!). Here are the positives I experienced: higher sex drive, my bra size went from a DD to a DDD, no pregnancy (my boyfriend and I got lazy about condoms for a few weeks, and he never pulled out, and I was still good!). I can’t really say much about how it’s worked for my acne, since I started Accutane a week after starting the BC. I am so thankful that this has worked out for me, I saw so many bad reviews on this website and almost didn’t take it because I got so scared. Everybody reacts differently to different medications. It’s always worth it to give it a try (unless you have a legitimate medical reason not to, of course!)."

"I have been taking Sronyx for 2 months. I have been on birth control for over 10 years, on and off. Sronyx has made me break out so bad on my chin and jawline. I didn't really correlate the acne to this pill until I went to get a facial to try and help my skin, and she told me that acne on the chin and jaw is hormonal. I then started doing research to find out many people have had problems with acne on this pill. This is a deal breaker for me, especially since I am getting married in 2 months. I have stopped taking it as of today and hope my skin will clear up in time for the wedding!"

"This birth control is probably the best one. It's the first one I tried, and I love it. No side effects at all. I am exactly the same as when I was not on it. I have now been on it for 2 months, and it has been perfect. Definitely recommend it!"

"I've been taking it for a couple of weeks now, I've gotten very bad acne and mood swings like crazy. I cried over chicken noodle soup, if that tells you anything. But it may work for you, try it and see. It probably just affects everyone differently. I'm not sure if I should continue to take it or try a new pill."

"I have been taking Sronyx for about 3 or 4 months now and I have constant nausea and/or a feeling of cramping even when not on my period. When I did get my period, I passed a blood clot that was larger than a quarter. It gives me back pain that I am not used to experiencing until taking this pill. I guess the positive would be it is pretty good at preventing pregnancy, just has way too many negative side effects for me."

"My doctor prescribed this birth control to me to help resolve the intense cramping and heavy bleeding I have on my period. I have been taking the pill for two days, and I can already tell that this will be a struggle. I have already started vomiting, getting headaches, and nausea, and like I said, it's only been a couple of days. Hoping that my experience gets better."

"I've been on birth control for 7 years. Every couple of years, I end up having to change it because even though it worked for a year, I start bleeding all the time. I started taking Sronyx about 2 months ago, and I've opted to just stop altogether while my husband is deployed. Since taking this, I have been bleeding, my boobs hurt so bad, even wearing a bra hurts, and I'm so nauseous I feel like I'm constantly running to the bathroom. I also have very bad acid reflux and heartburn, which I haven't had in about 4 years. And after reading some of the other reviews, I realized how moody I've been. Not to my husband, thank god, but to everyone else. I have also noticed I want bad food all the time. I don't recommend."

"This birth control is the only one that works for me. I have had my doctor trying to prescribe all sorts of different types to get it to work with my body. I've always been regular before I started on other brands, and they made me irregular. This brand is the only one that keeps me on my cycle and gives me control. I have had NO side effects and can only say positive things about this brand. However, I recognize that not everyone will share the same experiences."

"I had the birth control in my arm for 3 months. I took it out because I was bleeding constantly. My doctor said I should switch to the pill. I took it for about 3 months. I always got my period almost on the same day, I usually had it for more than 5 days! I was a healthy 19-year-old. I ended up having a stroke while pregnant. I was 7 weeks pregnant. I lost my balance, I can't walk well. Doctors have no explanation for it besides taking the pill. I'm in rehab trying to walk, please don't take this!"

"I was on the patch a year ago, but every time I put the patch on after my period, I got severe nausea that left me in bed ALL day. I put up with this because I loved the ease of the patch, but it became too much. My college gyno switched me to Sronyx. I love it! At first, I got some cramps with my period, which I had never gotten before, but after a month of being on it, that has gone away. I did not gain weight at all and actually lost weight, though that may be from other problems (GERD). My period is also lighter and shorter. The only negative side effects I can say are that within the first month and a half, I was VERY moody. I got angry very easily, but that has gotten better. I also get more breakouts (chest, face, and back), but they are very minor."

"I have been on the pill now for 2.5 years. I started with Apri, hated it, and switched to Orsynthia. I had no issues with Orsynthia at all for roughly 1.5 years. It stopped my period altogether for a little over a year, which my doctor was not concerned about. No issues until my insurance company wouldn't cover it anymore, so I had to switch to Sronyx. After about one month of being on it, I developed TERRIBLE acne! It looked like a papular rash all over, especially my neck and face. In addition, it made my skin twice as likely to burn in the sun. I have been on it for a total of 3-4 months now and am about to switch back to Orsynthia and let my wallet take a hit. Nothing is worth having a chronic rash this bad all over your neck!"

"I was on Sronyx for 2 years, and I never had any issues with it. It did lighten my periods, as well as shorten them. I was sexually active for those 2 years, and I never got pregnant, so it did its job. I did notice some months I got pretty bad breast tenderness during my period, but it wasn't every single month."

"I switched from Sprintec to Sronyx because I was suffering from often irregular bleeding and acne, but that’s about it. I started taking Sronyx about 4-5 months ago, and I have noticeably gained a lot of weight. I never changed my diet, and my body weight/shape has always kind of been the same until I started taking this pill. I've been struggling a lot with my body image these past couple of months and recently have started to get easily irritable, which is what made me quit taking the pill. Don’t recommend."

"This Sronyx does prevent pregnancy, which is why I take birth control pills. I was switched to this one from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, actually, I am not sure why I was switched. What I have learned is that it takes a full pack (30 days) for your body to adjust to it. It may have the same chemical makeup as other combo pills, but whatever, it definitely takes a while for your body to adjust to the change. I would say try it out for at least 45 days or a pack and a half, and if there are issues still, then consider switching. One thing I have experienced with this pill is that if I miss a dose, I have had breakthrough bleeding. I didn't have that issue with Ortho. Good luck, ladies!"
