For Endometriosis "I've been on this pill for about 3 or 4 years. Up until about 6 months ago, this pill was a blessing. I have been on everything else (Depo, a laundry list of other pills) and nothing worked as well as Seasonique. A few months ago I gained about 30 pounds out of no where and I lost about 20 pounds with a lot of hard work but no matter what I do, I can't get under 130. I have severe headaches and recently I've been bleeding through and not just spotting like full on period. On top of that I was cramping severely and having stomach problems. My husband and I just decided to quit the pill and see what happens and let me tell you I feel much better. I would say yes to this pill except for the side effects I started having."

For Ovarian Cysts "I am on my second pack of Seasonique. Day 2 of the yellow pills and my period hasn't come yet. Could be because 2 weeks ago I had a 10 day period with heavy clotting. I have had no bad side effects other than lack of sex drive which doesn't bother me since I am not having sex. I am using this to treat my ovarian cysts that have grown back."

For Endometriosis "I took Seasonique for only two weeks, but I quit because of the severe and immediate mood changes I experienced while on it. I have an anxiety disorder, and when I started taking Seasonique, I started feeling more irritated/anxious. After that, my mood plummeted into a depression. I felt like crying or screaming all the time. I also developed acne, breast tenderness, and extreme bloating. When I stopped the pill, I started a period even though I had a period two weeks prior. When I stopped taking Seasonique, my mood improved. I have taken the pill before and never had this reaction. I am now going to get the Mirena IUD to treat my endometriosis/adenomyosis."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonique for over a year. For the first six months I had non-stop spotting which made sex embarrasing. But I have endometreosis and thought having no pain outweighed the spotting. Now I have two new problems: I am overweight by 15 lbs and can't lose the weight even though I work out 4 times a week and eat very healthy. I have also lost all my sex drive! At this point I am thinking of going back to my gyno and finding another solution. The cons far outweigh the pros for me."

For Birth Control "Seasonique was absolutely horrible for me. I bled heavily for three months straight. The bleeding went from spotting to the point where clots the size of my fist were coming out. I had to take medical leave from my job because the bleeding was so bad. I ended up needing a D&C to clear everything out and start fresh with no birth control. While Seasonique was totally free with my insurance, it cost me tons in heavy-duty sanitary products, hospital bills, and lost wages."

For Birth Control "This is by far the best pill. I was taken off it before but just recently got back onto it. My periods on this pill were non-existent. Also no cramps. Having 4 periods a year is fine by me. I recommend this one to anyone. It is the best!!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Worst bc I've ever taken. I thought it be nice to be able to skip my period so my doctor prescribed me this. I get breakouts bad worse then if I'm not even on bc. I also get spotting and full blown periods way before the inactive pills. I'm on 3rd pack 1st week and having my period. I ordered new bc hopefully it comes soon. I wouldn't recommend this bc at all"

For Birth Control "I was on this pill for 4 years!! It was my first birth control I was ever on and I originally got on it because I didn’t want to have periods anymore. Not having periods was the ONLY good thing about this birth control. I constantly got yeast infections, ZERO sex drive, I was so dry down there, and constant nausea. I didn’t realize it was my birth control doing making me feel that way for 4 years until I came off of it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Hate this birth control. Just finished the first pack. I’m on my 6th week of bleeding and now that I’m on the placebos I’m having the heaviest period I’ve had in years. I’m at my wits end. Want to rip my hair out. Can’t stand this birth control."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on Seasonique since grade 10 of high school because my periods were very irregular. For the first year and a half it worked perfectly with no side effects whatsoever. But now every third month of the pack, I spot heavily the whole time. I have brought more liners and pads then I ever would have had to. I absolutely love having my period only 4 times a year but now its like I'm having a month long period every 3 months. I am considering switching to something else because I don't know if I can keep living with it. If anyone has an explanation for why this is happening please share it with me."

For Birth Control "First day: 2 hours later I completely had a fast heart beat. I was really dizzy and felt like a lot of water weight on my body. I thought it was just my body adjusting so I continued to have hope for this pill. Day 2: Anxiety lessened but noticed I had extreme fast heartbeat when I am resting, like when I am on the bed. Trouble sleeping. Signs of depression. Day 3: Depressive and hard to sleep. I was balling my eyes out in bed that night. Day 4: Depressive symptoms. Agitated. Woke up with a severe panic attack. Today: I quit. I rather have a heavier period then put up with depression from the pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Where do I start? First pack was great. No spotting until the very end of the second month, then full blown period during the middle of the third month of my first pack (three months of pills per pack, just to clarify). So, I thought I should go ahead and start my second three month pack and treat it like I'm having my period even though it technically was too early. Well, I haven't stopped bleeding for about a month now and the bleeding has gotten worse, passing huge clots and all of the lovely things that go along with that. Called my doctor and she said to stop and start taking a monophasic BC pill and that should stop the bleeding and get my uterus back to normal. Hoping this will work and won't have an eternal period!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm 38 years old and perimenopausal. I started this pill to regulate my horrific bleeding and cramping. The first two months were AWESOME, but since that time I have been bleeding for six weeks straight. My doctor advised that I skip the sugar pills and try a couple more weeks of the second pack and see if my cycle regulates. Into the second week of the second pack and I'm still currently bleeding and cramping and am stopping this medication today. Also I gained 10 pounds, feel "blue", randomly cry for no reason and have had extreme mood swings. I would not recommend seasonique or any generic equivalent of this drug. My next step is an ablation procedure. : ("

For Birth Control "Loved this birth control! I never had spotting or breakthrough bleeding during the 3 months of active pills. So nice to not have a monthly period. The only reason I'm switching is because my acne has gotten really bad because of stress."

For Endometriosis "When I was 22 I found out I had endometriosis and my doctor recommended this to regulate my periods. I was giving samples since I didn't have any insurance I took it for two years until they no longer had anymore sample and I still didn't have any insurance and was unable to pay for it. I absolutely loved being on this it was so nice having a period that only lasted three days and only four periods a year. Yes when u first start taking it u do have some breakthrough bleeding which is annoying but stick with it because once ur over that is great. Now I'm back on it and my periods last a max of two days. I love it and so much less pain from endometriosis"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am on my 3rd month of this birth control and at first glance I thought this would be wonderful. I recently switched from Nexplanon to Seasonique and I'm starting to regret that change. I have been bleeding for 17 days and it does not seem to let up. I am still experiencing menstrual cramps on top of the bleeding and I am not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Although I want to continue the pack, I am having second thoughts. Nexplanon isn't great, but this isn't a holy grail to your period answers either. Pick your poison ladies."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My GP recommended Seasonique because I was anemic and experiencing very heavy blood flow each month. In the year that I took this medication, I felt depressed and even suicidal at the beginning; gained weight as expected and had a hard time losing weight while on it. At the end of the first 3 months, the flow was heavy for 8 days! I kept with it in spite of menstrual cramps, higher appetite, heavy bleeding when I had my period and really annoying mood swings. After one year I decided to stop because it's easier to take iron supplements than take this pill. With 2 children and at peri-menopause age, I wouldn't recommend this product to any woman at any stage of life. Too unpredictable and not worth the unseen side effects."

For Endometriosis "First 2 months of taking it I didn't stop bleeding, gained 10 lb (been 125 lbs for the past 10 years) got zits! (Maybe had 5 zits in my whole life) then started this pill and I'm a bloated, bloody, zitty beast! I through the pills in the trash today. Enough is enough! Horrible medication"

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control for about a year and I don't know why I waited so long to get off of it. I had cyctic acne all over my face (I used to never break out before this pill) and I lost 20 pounds. I'm not a big girl in the first place but this pill got me down to 90 pounds because of the severe nausea. Also, I was moody the entire time I was on it. Went on ortho tri Cyclen and it saved my life."

For Birth Control "I'm about to start on the placebo pills and I'm intensely considering not starting the new pack. When I first started this birth control I had mild nausea and light cramping. Since then I've gained 10 pounds, I'm tired, nauseous, and bloated all the time. For me it's been all the fun pregnancy symptoms without actually conceiving (Doctor confirms my ego is not preggo) so I'm seriously debating on stopping it. My lifestyle three months ago is no different than my lifestyle now with the exception of this stinky little pill, and I can say that I am definitely unhappier now."

For Birth Control "I'm not the type of person to write reviews but I had such a bad experience with this pill I felt like I should write about it. I have been on it for a year and about a week ago I QUIT IT. I started getting headaches every day. I felt weird, like not like myself. I'm generally a really happy person. Being on this birth control I actually felt really sad a lot. I cried often for no reason, like really cried non stop for hours at a time. I'm an active person, I go to the gym about 3 times a week and always have a lot of energy but on the pill I felt so tired. It's also expensive. I quit in the beginning of a new pack. I don't care I had to get off of that. Now that I am off of it I honestly feel amazing."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for a year and a half. It took my body over 6 months to finally adjust to this pill and stop spotting. Cramps are worsened when my period finally does come. The only benefits of this pill is its effectiveness of pregnancy prevention and fewer periods. The following are just a few of my negative side effects I%u2019ve had since starting this pill: -dry eyes -anxiety -heart palpitations -extreme appetite increase -20 pound weight gain and cannot lose it! -dry skin -cellulite -spider veins -random PMS -tired/low energy all the time -dry brittle hair/hair thinning -extreme bloating -headaches -yeast infections once a month (never had them before the pill) -more discharge -different body odor Stopping this pill ASAP!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control Seasonique for 10 days and wanted birth control since I used to have anemia. My period normally lasts 7 days but it I STILL have my period and it just seems like it’ll not stop. I’ve stopped taking this pill because I’d rather have my period than not knowing when my period will end since I am regular. I also noticed my heart rate beating extremely fast which caused rapid breathing. I also experienced mood changes and feel a lot more emotional which I normally am not. I’ve stopped taking this as I don’t see it being worth it in the long term."

For Birth Control "I've been on this BC for a little over a year now. First few packs were awesome! No mood swings, no break through bleeding, period always on time, smooth sailing.. My last two packs have been a nightmare. I'm moody, I'm getting break through bleeding often and it actually scares me because I always think something is wrong if I'm bleeding and it's not time for my period... and my period was over a week late on my last pack. My period isn't due to come for another 3 weeks now but I'm currently bleeding. Not happy. Will definitely be seeing my doctor about a new pill. Maybe my body has decided it's not strong enough anymore."
