"I've been taking this birth control for almost 6 weeks now, and let me tell you, the only good thing about it is that it has helped me gain and distribute weight where I need it and made my breasts bigger. Other than that, I feel like absolute rubbish all day, every day, and my job requires me to be active and on my feet. IT'S HORRIBLE. I take medicine for the nausea, so that's fine. But I'm extremely tired, my body aches more than normal, the change in my mood is not okay, and I've been bleeding for over a week now, way earlier than my period should be. It started out as just spotting, but now I'm heavily bleeding, and it's making me very anxious. I'm going to take the last week of pills tomorrow because this just isn't worth it. I do not recommend this pill. Definitely look for something with better ratings, maybe?"

"My OBGYN switched me to this pill in hopes to reduce my menstrual migraines I suffer with every month. While I have not had any migraines, I have been bleeding for 3 weeks straight, have a horrible outbreak of acne, and very bad nausea since starting this medication two months ago. At this point, I think I'd rather live with the monthly migraine than be bleeding all the time and look like I have chickenpox on my face."

"I've been on the pill for almost a month, no breakthrough bleeding, but light cramps and headaches, but not severe. I guess I can say that's good compared to some other comments, but I'm getting off the pill today because I just got on it because I wanted fewer periods, but I absolutely hate cramps and headaches. Hope it works for you."

"This birth control is definitely not for everyone. I bled for 2 straight weeks while taking this pill and became anemic. I was so exhausted and had ongoing cramps for days and days. I had switched over from Microgestin because this one was cheaper and was a three-month pack, but I am switching back. I didn't pay attention to the reviews (because everyone has different results), but I wish I had. I am switching back to my previous birth control."

"I have the biggest, reddest, and most painful pimples I have ever had in my life. I even have a cyst on the side of my nose. This all started about 1 week after starting this birth control, and it has just gotten worse during the second week. I am calling my gyno and going back on Yaz. It is the only birth control that I have ever taken that has made my complexion perfect. Your experience may be different, but I am 23 years old, and I am completely embarrassed to leave my condo because my skin is so awful."

"The first pack my doctor wanted me to stop after the first month to try to see what effect the medicine would have with my period and to only continue if there were no abnormalities. I followed her instructions, and toward the last 2 weeks of the 3rd set, I started seeing some 'color' that led to spotting. And my period took a while to start during the yellow pills, but was short and light. Now that I am on the 2nd pack toward the end, just about a week ago, I started spotting again. But this time it's heavier/more constant. Rarely worth a pantyliner or anything at all, just really annoying because I don't know if it will get heavier at any moment, stop, or stick around until the 'real' period comes. And will it get worse for the next pack?"

"I am only about a week and a half into my first pack and can already feel my emotions getting out of control. I have never cried in public, but today something that would have normally made me angry actually made me burst into tears. How embarrassing. I feel like I still have PMS even though there is no 'flow'. Besides the hormonal imbalance, I love not having to worry about my period, which was extremely abnormal; rather than carrying around spare panties, I carry my little pill container."

"I started LoSeasonique a couple of months ago. I had a headache the first day I took it, but that went away. I have no periods, no breakthrough bleeding, and best of all, no PMS or overeating from PMS. I wish I would have started this pill years ago."

"After the birth of my son in June 2011, I started LoSeasonique. Before the birth of my son, I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen and loved it with no problems. I only stayed on LoSeasonique for one month due to a flow like a heavy period on an almost everyday basis. It stopped for two weeks in the second month and started again very heavily with severe abdominal pain and cramping. The only reason I wanted to try LoSeasonique was for the 'fewer periods' purposes. After trying LoSeasonique for three months (one pack), I have discontinued the use and will be going back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen!"

"I was on LoSeasonique for almost a year. The first few months were great, some spotting every now and then, but nothing major. About 2 months ago, I took a pill one day late. Consequently, I have been spotting for the entire two months. My gyno tried everything, putting me on a week's worth of estrogen and then a regimen of taking multiple pills a day for a week. Nothing worked. I've been miserable and bloated and have gained a few pounds. Before this, I really liked this pill. If you take it, make sure you take it at the SAME time every single day. She said pills with this low dose of hormones are more likely to do this. I'm currently having to switch to another pill just to make the bleeding stop."

"I find if you were on a birth control before LoSeasonique, you will already have the hormones in your system and will have fewer side effects!"

"I am on my second pack, (a week and a day has passed) and I haven't had my period yet. I took a pregnancy test, it was negative, but I still am concerned about no period."

"LoSeasonique works fine as birth control. I didn't get pregnant while on it, but it didn't keep my period at bay for the 3 months as stated. For me, this pill actually worked the opposite way. I had a period for 3 weeks, then nothing for 1 week rather than the other way around. And it wasn't just light spotting, I had bleeding similar to a period. I gave it a chance the first month and the second month, but after that, I called it quits. I will have to try something else."
