Ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel "I was put on LoSeasonique in October of 2010 for endometriosis. I am only 20 years old, so the doctors have been trying hard to find something that will work for me and not cause lifelong effects. This pill did the trick. I have had nothing but happiness with it, it helps the pain of the endometriosis. My doctor gave me 6 months to try it (2 sample packs at once) to see if it worked. I was stupid and took it back to back, so I didn't have a period for 6 months. I did spot and bleed for that reason. The bleeding was heavy and painful, so as soon as I finished the pack, I allowed myself to have an actual period before starting a new pack. Since that mistake, I only had weight gain, and it was only 10 pounds. I love it."

"I've been on Lutera for about 5 months now. I am a very active 20-year-old college student, 5'4" and 130 pounds when I started the pill. At first, it really helped with my endometriosis (reason for taking), no mood swings, and I felt great! Now, within the past 3 months, I've noticed my mood swings are getting out of control, and I don't even want to go near a scale because I know I've gained at least 30 pounds. Yes, that much weight. I'm a marathon runner, and there should be no reason for this weight gain. My side effects have been a late onset. I am going off of the pill to try and lose weight and reset my body before I try anything else."

Ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel "I gave this a 1 only because 0 was not an option. Of course, everyone has their own experiences and will react differently to this birth control pill. I highly recommend to everyone to read reviews online and do your research because I didn't and I blindly trusted my doctor. Unlike most people, I did not need this pill for the purpose of birth control but to simply avoid my period for 1 week in December, as I am going away on vacation. I went to see my doctor for contraception to avoid my period for that one week in the upcoming December, and she immediately prescribed Seasonique. I checked with her again, asking what was the use of starting in October, but she convinced me that it was my best option as I would have no bleeding until January."

Ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel "I have been taking this for endometriosis and have found it very effective. This isn't for the treatment of endometriosis, but is for the prevention of pain that goes along with it."

"Terrible. I am a totally different person. I feel tired 24/7, bloated, heart problems, and my boobs always hurt. I would never suggest this birth control."

"I was on Seasonique previously as a treatment for my endometriosis. I got off of it after a few years to give my body a break, and painful periods became the norm again. My new doctor suggested I go back on the pill, and I chose Seasonique again. However, my insurance substituted Daysee as the generic. I was a bit worried, but I have not had any issues, and I'm back to living my life fully all month long! I do still have some pain when I'm on my 'period pills,' but it's mild compared to the past. I've been lucky and have never had much spotting with Seasonique or Daysee. I did have some nausea in the morning for the first two weeks. I take my pill before dinner now, and it seems to help."
