For Birth Control "I've been on Chateal for 3 months now and I did not gain weight, nor did I get crazy mood swings. The only thing that happened was my period came at the same time every month and I didn't get pregnant. It works great!"

For Birth Control "I have tried MANY different kinds of birth control and had been off for about a year and half when I started up on Chateal. I am in my THIRD WEEK of the pill and have experienced extreme FATIGUE, mood swings as well as breast tenderness/shooting pain, and constipation. I am hoping these things will smooth over, but these are the worst initial side effects I've experienced with an oral contraceptive. So far not so good."

For Birth Control "I've been on Chateal for about 4 months now and I love it. No scares, I know when my period is coming like clock work. It's doing it's job, all I have to do is mine and take it every day at the same time. I'd recommend it."

For Birth Control "This pill was the first kind of birth control my doctor recommended me with. I was very nervous at first because she said it would help with my size and because I have had chronic episodes of anemia. I also had the fears of every girl: gaining weight, acne, mood swings, and the contraceptive failing. I've been on Chateal for a year now and none of those things have occurred! I'm very happy with this pill and will renew my prescription."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control since June, I haven't had any problems. My period comes like clock work, no scares, no hair loss, no weight gain, no mood swings. I was on a different birth control where I had my period every three months and I prefer this one, just because I can keep track of everything! I recommend it."

For Birth Control "Before I started it, I was MORTIFIED of it based on all these terrible reviews. Within 2-3 weeks women were complaining about hair falling out, suicidal, nausea, mood swings, heavy bleeding and so forth and so forth. I'm going on 7 weeks and haven't had not one of those symptoms with a slight exception of the nausea. I get nauseous probably once every few days. Sensation last for about a minute and it's gone. I can't even pinpoint the BC is the culprit. My experience with Chateal has been a breeze so far, and I hope it stays that way. So don't let these negative reviews steer you the wrong way. Everyone is different and it clearly works great for many, not all but many. Most importantly I'M NOT PREGNANT!!!!"

For Birth Control "I got the pills for free at Planned Parenthood. They were effective in the aspect that I never got pregnant, but the side effects were pretty horrible. I had clear skin all my life, but when I got on the pill I suffered from bad acne. I gained about ten pounds, a full cup size, and I felt constantly bloated. By the third month, I started suffering anxiety and depression. This medicine changed my personality and really messed with my head. After quitting, I've finally started to get my life back and my anxiety is going away. I personally don't think these pills are worth the side effects."

For Birth Control "I've taken this for over a year, and I love it! My boobs have grown and I've stayed my moderate weight. Mood swings? Eh not really. We all get emotional on our periods. Birth control is not 100% effective, but this thing works! I was with my boyfriend for 6 months of the year. We never used a condom and he came in me. Never got pregnant. The best thing is this helps so much with my periods. Less cramping. Before I'd be nauseous to the point I'd sometimes throw up, stay up hours in so much abdominal pain. This makes periods tolerable. I recommend it."

For Birth Control "I am starting it tomorrow and I am really growing increasingly nervous by every review I read. I know that every body is different but some symptoms freak me out. I have never had any health problems or sensitivities whatsoever, I don't get nauseous easily so I guess those won't apply to me. I hope it will be worth it. Btw, as a friendly advice, try not to read up everything the internet says because you can't know for sure how your body will react to the drug so the only way to surely find out is by simply trying it."

For Birth Control "Watch out for the first three months. That is all I can say. Prepare for an emotional roller coaster. My boyfriend and I considered it "the monster pill" for a while jokingly, yet it is a very good description. Now that I have been on this pill for about 5 months, I actually love it! It's increased my breast size, I have a very very regular period, and I'm feeling no emotional changes. However, when I do miss a pill or two, and I take 2 or three at once, I am extremely sore the next couple days. Not sure if this is normal or just a coincidence. Gives me motivation to take them daily! Lol. Anyway, overall, a great pill. Reason I took two points away is for the first three months of hell!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Chateal birth control pills for 3 weeks now and I've experienced constipation, fatigue, nausea, and really bad mood swings. But I guess my body is just getting used to it because it's my first time trying birth control pills ever. Provided by Planned Parenthood"

For Birth Control "DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS MEDICATION! I've been on this for two weeks & its been two weeks of HELL! My anxiety is through the roof, I'm overly emotional & cry all the time. (No suicidal thoughts though) This pill will make you feel like you have food poisoning or the stomach flu or something. I have headaches, dizziness, an indigestion/heartburn type feeling -- I just have this bizarre feeling near my upper stomach/diaphragm, I can't even describe it. I'm constantly gassy whether its through burping or passing gas, stomach cramps & pain, back pain down in & near my pelvis, pain in my lower right abdomen. No appetite. The side effects are worse when I'm at work which makes it very hard to stay at work. Wicked nausea!"

For Birth Control "I was given this because my period had been extremely irregular for two months prior. I was on it for two months straight. The doctor gave me three packs, she said hopefully I would get lucky and I would start being regular in a month. Well I guess I was extremely Lucky because my period finally stopped after only 2-3 days of taking them. I'm now on my second day of the sugar pills and no sign of a period yet."

For Birth Control "I started this pill reluctantly after having read all the horrible reviews, but I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. It was my first time ever taking the pill, and I noticed a few changes in the beginning while my body adjusted, but nothing drastic. I did tell my boyfriend to keep an eye out for the side effects and that helped me mentally prepare for them. Over time, my periods got lighter and shorter. The first couple months, I noticed I was more emotional on the week of the placebo pills, but who isn't when they're on their period. No acne. Good sex drive. I've been on it for over a year now and I love it. Just take it everyday and remember that people who have good experiences, usually don't take time to write a review."

For Birth Control "After taking Orthotricylen off and on for 5 years I was switched to Chateal and I couldn't be happier. I've struggled with weight my whole life and I would get on and off Ortho because it caused me to gain extreme weight and I was really unhappy about it but I knew I needed birth control so the doctor at planned parenthood suggested Chateal. I've been on it for almost a year and I haven't had a single pound of weight gain (I've been losing actually but that's because of diet and exercise but it's important that the pill isn't interfering). I also have pretty acne prone skin growing up but I hardly get any break outs now on this medication (not sure if it's the pill or getting older). I don't feel any nausea other people experienced either."

For Birth Control "On the plus side, this pill did the job. I certainly did not get pregnant over the 9 months I was on it. That's it. On the bad side, this pill gave me the worst acne I have ever had. It was long until I realized that it was this pill causing my acne. Stopped taking it, and acne went away. Scars are still fading. For Birth Control "I have been taking this for about 6 or 7 months now and I don't think I will continue after I finish this pack. At first I would get very very nauseous at night before bed, making it a little difficult to fall asleep. My emotions are all over the place. I am super sensitive to everything, very easily irritated and oh my god I cry so much. I cry A LOT. I mean, I cry during commercials, those facebook videos about good samaritans or sick kids, during movies, or if someone says anything even just slightly mean to me. Sometimes, I cry for no reason at all. In fact, I'm crying right now as I'm writing this, and have been crying for the past 3 hours and I can't pin point exactly why. On the bright side, I am not pregnant, so it does do its job"

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this medication shortly after my abortion (sadly). Normally in the past I don't have major side effects of birth control but Chateal birth control I did. First off, this birth control gives you the same exact symptoms of pregnancy. Back aches, acne, nausea, fatigue, etc. I have been on this birth control for about 3 weeks now and I had to QUIT. Please do not take this birth control. I have HORRIBLE nausea that lasts me all throughout the day it is horrible. Also, my back aches are really bad as well. I had to take a pregnancy test. The acne I got from this was horrifying. Usually I have pretty nice skin and I RARELY get acne but this made me breakout on my whole face :( all together this is not worth taking I would DEFINITELY use condoms over this. Also, this medication causes me SEVERE anxiety as well and headaches! Please do not take this medication."

For Birth Control "I have been on Chatael for 12 months now. I did have mood swings and did cry a lot the first week I was on the pill just because my body was getting used to it. By the second week I was perfectly fine. I did not gain weight and my skin has been perfectly normal. My periods are light to normal and last only 3-4 days and come like clock work. I got it from planned parenthood and the only reason I'm switching (to Levora) is because at planned parenthood it did cost 27$ for each pack. Overall very happy with it and I'm hoping Levora works just as well for me and doesn't give me bad side effects or I'll definitely switch back."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I have been on birth control for 16 years now, Chateal for the past 6 months. This is the first pill that has actually lessened my bleeding and period pain. I have always had excessive bleeding and cramps (to the point I couldn't leave the house), this pill has changed all of that! I have PCOS and hypothyroidism, since taking this pill I have actually been able to lose 10 pounds. I would have given it 10/10 but I have been super emotional and cry a bit more than usual (commercials are the worst). No acne, no weight gain, no excessive bleeding, no cramps, no hair loss (as many reported), and the big one: I'm not pregnant!"

For Birth Control "I just started this about 2 months ago. I got it from Planned Parenthood after my abortion. They assured me I would not get pregnant on this pill after the first 7 days. I had a little nausea, and I do have fatigue, but my acne has been getting better. However, I just spent the last 5 weeks thinking I was pregnant due to changes in my breasts: veiny, areola enlargement, and literally they feel like two saggy water balloons instead of more firm like normal! This confused me as I've only had this happen to my breasts when I was pregnant! It's not going away and I am worried. I keep testing but my test says I'm not pregnant. I really don't like how they feel or look and I'm not sure what to do about it. If I didn't have that I'd be happy!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Chateal for around 4 months and have been having a terrible experience. Not until I had read some of these other reviews today did I realize that my horrible mood swings, depression, and anxiety were completely exacerbated by Chateal. I honestly thought I was losing my mind and have had some suicidal thoughts from time to time. I'm a college student and these emotional episodes are taking a huge toll on my academic life. In addition, I have gained a significant amount of weight and feel bloated a good amount of the time, and also I'm always breaking out with acne on my face, back, and arms. I'm so glad that I was able to see some of these reviews which validated what I was going through. I'm going to stop taking Chateal today!!!"

For Birth Control "I was on Levora for a year and absolutely loved it. Never a negative side effect. I'm finishing my second month on Chateal and have gained weight, experienced extreme mood swings. Crying and yelling for no reason. I'm also cramping like crazy before my period. I'm in more pain then before the birth control. (Which was the reason I started in the first place)."
