"I started using NuvaRing postpartum to try and regulate my hormones while I was dealing with postpartum depression and PMDD. It actually worked pretty well. I can't say that things have been completely turned around, but the worst of the hormonal swings is over, and I actually enjoy using the NuvaRing. This is the first time I've been on birth control long-term, and I'm very satisfied with it. In the first month, I did have some moodiness and a lot of nausea. No bad side effects since then other than bloating and slightly more than normal discharge. It hasn't dried me up at all. My libido has gone down a bit, but I'm aware of it, and it doesn't take much effort to feel aroused, which was a relief after being on antidepressants that ruined everything. I use NuvaRing continuously every other month to skip my periods. So I'm only having six periods a year. It's expensive, but NuvaRing worked for me, and I'd recommend it to others."

For Birth Control "Was hoping this would be my answer after terrible experiences with all kinds of pills. My Dr thought this would work well for me as it gives out a more even dose of hormones than most pills. I am on this for a month, and this has been one of the worst yet! My sex drive is down the drain (worse than first trimester), and I am moody, extremely tired, and spaced out even with getting good night's sleep. I would not recommend this!!"

For Birth Control "I've been on the NuvaRing since November of 2015, at my 6-week appointment after having my first child. I love not having to remember a pill every day. I do, however, suffer from depression, and I have noticed that whenever I take it out for the week of my period, I am way more moody than I ever was before. I have also gained a few pounds since being on this birth control, but I can deal with that. It has decreased my sex drive tremendously, but I also don't want to have another baby yet, so not having sex with my husband like we used to isn't a big deal for either of us. I love this product, and I will continue to use it until I'm ready for baby #2, and after that baby, I will use it again!"

For Birth Control "I love NuvaRing. It's easy to insert, and I've only had it fall out like once or twice since I've been using it. I started it three months ago and haven't really noticed any side effects. Maybe a little bit of moodiness, but it's better than being pregnant. My partner can feel it, but he doesn't complain. I will NEVER go back to using the pill again!"

For Birth Control "I used NuvaRing for only a month. Throughout the month, I was telling people to use it, that it was the best thing ever, etc. Until it came time when my period would have come if it weren't for NuvaRing. I was beyond moody, snapping at everyone for every little thing, from talking too loud to looking at me too long. The constant cramping that came with it, along with the back pains and headaches, just was not worth it. I took it out and have not looked back since."

For Birth Control "After reading other reviews, I can't believe I haven't switched my birth control method. I have the same symptoms as follows (weight gain, so moody, I have never been so moody, increased vaginal discharge, constant headache, my fiancé and I definitely feel the ring during intercourse). On the other hand, pros for the NuvaRing are (lighter and shorter periods, choosing when I start)."

For Birth Control "I love that NuvaRing is just as effective as the pill without having to remember it daily. I just put it in and forget about it for three weeks. I have a little more discharge than usual, but it doesn't really bother me, and my doc said it's normal. My only complaint is that the second day after putting it in, I feel nauseated, and when I take it out, I get really moody by the third day. Hopefully, my body will adjust and stop doing this."

For Birth Control "I've had this in for two weeks and it is the best birth control I have ever used! The combined pill made me moody, bloated, and foggy-brained. I get none of that with NuvaRing. It was a bit of a hassle getting it in but I reckon my technique will improve with time."

For Birth Control "This is my first month on the NuvaRing. I took it out this Monday, and it is now Friday. I have had a few negative side effects, but overall I still like the ring. With the ring, it's not so bad. I was a bit moody around the time I would have gotten my period, but that's an effect of all the extra hormones. My body hadn't gotten used to them yet. The ring came out a few times during sex, but my boyfriend didn't care at all. The only bad thing I really have to say is that after taking out the ring, I became REALLY sore and dry until I got my period. Now it's not so bad. We'll see how next month goes!"

For Birth Control "It wasn't too bad. I loved how easy it was, I didn't experience any pain or weight gain, and my complexion improved greatly! The only problem was that I would become extremely depressed and moody for no reason at all. I would recommend it to others."

For Birth Control "This is the first method of birth control I ever used, and it worked fantastically. I love not having to worry about a pill every day. During the first week of use, I cried a lot, and I felt like it was for no reason. However, this was also the first week after I moved out of the house that I grew up in, so I am willing to blame the move for the weepiness. The only other thing that I could even dream of complaining about is that it caused a slight amount of discharge. It's not enough to cause any problems though, or really even any inconvenience. I never had any breakthrough bleeding, weight gain, moodiness beyond that first week, no real issues. I suggest this to anyone who can't keep up with the pill, or even if they can!"

For Birth Control "I've been on the ring for about 2 years, and I LOVE the ease of it but don't like the decrease in sex drive (it's nonexistent) and the increase in breast size. I have implants...don't need them larger! I've been crazy, moody also, which I didn't really attribute to this until after reading the reviews. I'm switching back to pills to see if it really was the ring or not."

For Birth Control "Okay, so just be aware everyone experiences things differently, and our bodies are all different. So I was on the NuvaRing for 3-4 weeks, and at first, I experienced a lot of cramping and discomfort during sex. I had no sex drive, and I ended up getting a yeast infection the last week of having it in. Currently, I feel as though I have a UTI. I like that I don't have to worry about it for 3 weeks, and it'll help regulate my periods. Unfortunately, lately I've been super moody and emotional that I want to cry about every little thing. I personally can't feel it, but my husband can during sex, and it kinda freaks him out."

For Birth Control "I started using the NuvaRing approximately one month before my wedding day and never used any kind of hormonal birth control before. That was a mistake. I thought it would be easier than trying to remember when to take a pill-and it was, except that on my wedding night, I experienced great discomfort, which I thought was due to lack of experience? Dryness and pain. Not fun at all. My newlywed husband and I didn't think of it until after the three weeks, and then the one week of not having the NuvaRing in. One week later, I put a new ring in, and then started having serious pee issues-pain and burning, moodiness like all get-out, headaches. So five days later, I took the ring out and had another period! I am going to try the FemCap (2nd generation)."

For Birth Control "I'm 21 years old, and I've been on this birth control for 2 weeks. Don't take this drug if you are prone to irritability. I was on it for 1 week, and I was so moody, AHHHHHHHHHH, and all at my partner (tried to break up twice). Another reason, it falls out, I'm not kidding. I have a really tight snatch, and it seriously still falls out. You're paranoid to death it's gonna fall out in the toilet, and sometimes it gets stuck at the entrance, and it pushes up against your bone and hurts like heck. You have to constantly push it back up too. The only thing good about this method is that it's easy to remember because it stays."

For Birth Control "I was just given NuvaRing from my doctor. My last birth control, Microgestin, made me severely moody. I'm talking happy-go-lucky one second, then boom, I hate the world the next. I also gained a lot of weight, my periods were terrible along with never on time. I was on this for about six months. My doctor gave me a two-month sample, hoping it would help. So we will see."

For Birth Control "I was on the pill for about 3 years, Tri-Sprintec. It really had no side effects besides moodiness rarely, but I wanted to try something hormone-free. I tried the Paraguard IUD for 8 months. It was extremely easy (after the pain from insertion subsided), but my periods were SO bad. I had it removed and wanted to give NuvaRing a shot. Super nice because you don't have to remember a pill every day, but after about a week, I was borderline suicidal, moody, and breaking out like crazy. I tried to let it pass because I really wanted to give this a shot, but eventually, it made it difficult to orgasm or even get wet during intercourse, and my vagina feels super irritated. I hope others have better experiences, but I'll be going back to the pill!"

For Birth Control "I got on NuvaRing about a week ago, and I’m already noticing some side effects that I don’t love. My sex drive has decreased a huge amount. I also find myself being in bad moods almost all the time for no reason at all."
