Etanercept "After a battle with the local health authority, I started to use the miracle drug Enbrel over 7 years ago and found immediate relief. I never took another of the numerous painkillers or other drugs I was taking until 2 months after I was changed over to Benepali on January 17. After complaining of Benepali not being as effective as Enbrel, I had an appointment with the physio today, just 2 months since my last appointment. All of my measurements are lower than before, i.e., I have lost movement and my pain scores have gone from all zeros to a mix up to 8. I'm hoping I can go back to Enbrel as it was so much more effective for me."

Etanercept "I was officially diagnosed with AS in 2011 (at age 27) and started taking Enbrel. Enbrel did help reduce my pain after a few weeks but wrecked my immune system. If the flu was going around, I would be one of the first to get it. For a few years, I would take Enbrel to help with the pain but stopped during the flu season. This past year, I stopped taking Enbrel altogether because it was becoming less effective. I would recommend trying Enbrel if you have AS. It does help you, but might not be a long-term solution for everyone."

Etanercept "I had been suffering from ankylosing spondylitis for quite a number of years. I had tried NSAIDs with very little improvement, therefore, I had no option but to trial anti-TNF therapy as a last resort. I had originally tried Humira without much improvement at all. I then went on to try Simponi, which improved my physical condition dramatically within the first day of the injection, however, it seemed to have a psychotic effect on my brain over the couple of months of being on it. I did recover once I stopped the Simponi. I then got onto Enbrel sometime after and seemed to have improvement within a couple of days of having the injection. I did have itchiness, which in hindsight was a minimal problem."

Etanercept "I was diagnosed with AS about 2 years ago, but felt the pain for the last 5 years. I have tried everything, and absolutely nothing has worked for me, lastly trying Humira, which I was on for about 4 months and no pain relief, and then trying Enbrel weekly for 4 weeks now and haven't felt any difference at all so far. Maybe it may take a lot longer to kick in :("

Etanercept "I've been on Enbrel since May 2012 for rheumatoid arthritis and took it varying from every week to as long as 7 weeks at a time. In March 2016, after trying to lean off Enbrel, I started having issues with my lower back SI joint and behind my shoulder. I took Enbrel and it got better. I was officially diagnosed with mild to moderate ankylosing spondylitis in June by my rheumatologist. I went back to Enbrel every other week and I feel great. Just like the arthritis, my AS went away. I am only 22 years old, but Enbrel has kicked two physical diseases and I'm so happy. Try Enbrel!!!"

Etanercept "I'm 37 and was always healthy and pain-free till 1 year ago. I started having pain in my feet and heels, and my stomach and bowels, it got worse gradually. I started having pain in my left wrist, ankles, knee, shoulders, and neck, even a couple of my toes also had a fever off and on. I had swelling and couldn't even walk. I had no idea what was going on till I went to a rheumatoid doc, and he found out I had ankylosing spondylitis. He started me on Enbrel, and I stayed off my feet for a week, resting my body. I got better and better every week, no pain at all. I just now am noticing my feet hurting, one knee, and my shoulders, and very fatigue. I'm praying that the medicine is still working. It's been exactly a year since I started the Enbrel."

Etanercept "I was diagnosed at 33 years, now I'm 36. I have tried Nucoxia, which raised my BP. Then Doc recommended Etanercept 50 mg weekly. It is really a wonder drug. No side effects, nothing. I'm on this drug for two weeks. I have used Ciplas Etacept."

Etanercept "I'm using Enbrel since last more or less than 3 years. During this time, I was painless. It has stopped for the last 6 months. Now I'm suffering from pain, pain has started again after stopping it 2-3 months ago. As a result, I feel I should not stop it."

"I am 44 today and for the last 8 or so years I have had severe pain in my sides. In the last 5 years, this has traveled down to my spine and into my leg like sciatica. I had a tumor in my spinal cord which was removed, the pain initially went away, but there was a longer-lasting pain that the neurosurgeon said was because I wasn't active. I lost the will to walk, swim, and do hobbies I used to enjoy. Eventually, after a long journey, I saved up and went to a doctor at Tallaght Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. She said it looked very much like axial spondylitis, and of course, I had no idea what that was. I got the blood test and then was told I have a protein called HLA-B27, which 99% of those with my condition have. Now I am on Benepali, and I can honestly say that after only a few days, my life has come back. I cannot imagine living without these injections, and they seem to be doing the trick. 10/10 for Benepali."

Etanercept "I wanted to thank Lsnbc · November 3, 2013 for the review. I was disheartened after 3 months, then read the review that it can take 6 months... and I'm really glad I retrained my brain. I have a life again."

Etanercept "Taking Enbrel once a week now (Started the day before Christmas 12/24/16). I have had Ankylosing Spondylitis for over 17 years but was misdiagnosed until 3/15. The doctors always told me that I had chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. It first started at @ age 37. I could hardly make it through a week without going in and getting IVs full of vitamins and saline. I finally came across a Nurse Practitioner who prescribed me vitamin B injections (twice a week), vitamin D (once a week), and Folic Acid (Deplin - once a week). This really was helpful, but the pain was horrific & I never felt right. And I had bouts with bad pain in my Achilles - left foot. There is more to my story, but this site will not allow me to type it."

"I'm lucky as a U.S. veteran the VA has been covering my officially priced $4,800 etanercept for over 10 years. It is a wonder drug, working as well now as when I started. Nothing else worked by that point. Etanercept took a couple of weeks to start showing effects, then the pain quickly went away and almost all of the red plaques followed over the next few months. Thanks to colds, shipping issues, etc., I've found you can miss a couple 1 to 2 week periods a year without any noticeable loss of the benefits. However, thanks to a major SNAFU, I once went more than 3 months without taking etanercept. The symptoms kicked in at 2 and a half months. The pain disappeared within a day upon resuming the medication, but some of the new plaques I gained at that time stayed, and the two old plaques that never went away in the first place got a lot worse. It is not a cure, but after 10 years I am still functioning well enough to work and hit the gym (low impact)."

Etanercept "I have suffered with joint pain for over 40 years, finally saw a rheumatologist 4 months ago. After tests, diagnosed with advanced AS and prescribed Enbrel. 10 weeks in, I am feeling less morning stiffness but still struggle with night pain and stiffness and very achy joints all the time. So I guess I feel a slight improvement, hopefully, it gets better in time."

Etanercept "Been on Enbrel for 7 weeks. Still have pain in my back. I’m so tired of the terrible pain. I’ve been taking ibuprofen daily. Not sure if injections are worth it at this point. With the side effects listed, I just don’t know if it’s worth it."
