Esketamine for Depression "Started at the Spravato clinic a month ago. The sessions are in a group, which leads to fascinating conversations while under the influence of this drug. Enjoying the camaraderie with fellow patients and the inhibition/disassociative effects. Yes, you can get high on this stuff. I haven't experienced any healing yet from my depression, however, I've had more stressors than usual this past month, so that benefit may take longer to manifest. Others in my group session have seen great improvement in their mental health. So I suggest to those considering the treatment to at least give it a go!"

For Depression "I started taking Spravato nearly two months ago. Started at the 56 mg loading dose. At four weeks, it had done nothing positive. So the doc upped it to the 84. First off, that first double-dose treatment had me on one hell of a trip. I really felt that I wasn’t coming back! After that treatment, I was hungover, then treatment 2. After that, I was sick as a dog. Severe headaches and terrible nausea. Took me 5 days to recoup, and as of today, still with the headaches and nausea. Called the doc and stopped treatment altogether. I just can’t spend day after day feeling sick, not able to work, etc. This was a last-ditch effort, and now I don’t know just what I am going to do."

Esketamine "I want to thank everyone that gave a review of their experience with Spravato. I read almost all of them. I go for my first treatment today at 1:00 pm. I have anxiety because I do not know how my body will react. I have never done a drug that is “trippy.” Ever since I was 8 years old, my parents had me seeing a child psychologist, and I was on medication for ADHD. I have bipolar, and my depression can get really bad with my episodes (I have laid in bed for days at a time). I have also lost interest in so many activities that I loved. My mother had crippling bipolar with mania, severe depression, and dissociation episodes. I have tried so many medications for depression and bipolar. I have been interested in ketamine treatment for two years now. Spravato spray was approved by my doctor and my insurance. I picked the KETA Medical Center because I have heard good things. I will write back after my first week."

For Depression "9 treatments. First three weeks, I felt some improvement. Laughing, having motivation. Once a week and feel less depressed for 3 days. Then depressed. Treatment feels amazing! Had IV infusions very intense! I couldn't feel my body. Crazy hallucinations, nothing scary. Enjoyable. Spravato, I feel relaxed like Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb! No visual disturbances. Listen to Simon and Garfunkel, mellow but upbeat. No rock! I can feel my body, hearing is more sensitive. Music sounds great! Definitely a nasty taste in my throat. Candy helps. I stop feeling the effects after 1 hour, drowsy hour 2. Then normal but rest at home. Headphones and playlist, bring a soft blanket and eye mask. The experience is becoming less pleasurable. Antidepressant effect has been minimal. I wish I could have more IV, it was less $. Pure Ketamine is very helpful. For Spravato, they've taken away one of the molecules. Research it please."

For Major Depressive Disorder "So far, mixed emotions. I've done 6 weeks of biweekly treatment with esketamine, which I felt were excellent results. Cut to 1 treatment per week and this week. It has been an amalgamation of depression and severe anger. Some of this change may have been brought about by stress due to my wife's rapidly disintegrating health and fear of her losing her other leg. She is an amputee, a cancer survivor with bilateral percutaneous nephrectomies, an Indiana pouch abdominal urinary bladder replacement, a colostomy, and end-stage renal disease. This week, she suddenly developed pressure sores on her right foot, almost identical to the one that cost her her left leg 9 months ago. Needless to say, I am extremely upset at the thought of her losing her right leg and praying the doctors can make it heal. When esketamine was working, prior to the events of this week, all was wonderful. I hope that comes back."

For Depression "I've had several Spravato treatments. I must say they have helped me tremendously. All the blah, blah, blah from researchers who say not enough tests have been done, but as I'm sure that while these researchers/MDs treat major depressive disorder, they themselves have not experienced MDD. Spravato has helped me immensely. No SSRI or SNRI has ever really helped. Those drugs, too, have been pushed by big pharma. I've suffered from depression most of my life. This is the first medication where I have experienced dramatic improvement. Don't know what will happen after I've completed my treatments. But I'm grateful for the relief Spravato has given me."

After undergoing eight sessions, I haven't experienced any improvements. However, if you delve into the research, you'll find that this treatment was originally used as a horse tranquilizer. For Depression "It cured my depression. I tried SSRIs and tricyclic antidepressants with no benefits. Now I am feeling good thanks to esketamine. It started to work in one month, and I was 100% fine at the end of the second month. Now I'm still doing my third month, and I have no relapses at all. We are scaling up the drug until it is removed. I'm from Italy, here it is free thanks to the National Health Service."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I was on Spravato nasal for about four to six months. At the end of November 2019, insurance was cut off, and I ended up in psych wards with major, severe, horrible psychosis. Now we're in September 2021, and I am still having problems with hearing scary stuff. I felt/feel possessed. I have psychic abilities/paranoia, phobias? Intrusive voices, a lot of negative side effects. Am I stuck in the K hole? Has anyone else had horrific withdrawals and had it mess with your head? I thought I was crazy before, haha. I'm scared."

For Depression "I tried 4 doses of high-dose esketamine. It was absolutely useless! Waste of time! Waste of money! The only effect I experienced was that it tasted bitter when it dripped down my throat. I did not have dissociations, hallucinations, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, or anything else. My vital signs also never changed at all. I simply got angry because I was forced to sit in an empty room, bored silly for 2 hours each time. It did nothing for my depression, suicidal ideation, or panic attacks. Giving me bad-tasting saline would have the same effects as esketamine (and be much cheaper). I think it works purely on a placebo effect! I also haven't responded to numerous antidepressants, CBT, or any other treatments either."
