Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I have been on Vyepti (300mg every 3 months) for over a year and it's the only thing that has helped me in the last 8 years. My migraines are reduced by 90% until the last two weeks of the medication, and my daily headache pain goes from a 9 to a 5, which is a huge difference. I get the runny nose side effect for about a day after the infusion, but other than that, no side effects! I recommend trying it for those who have tried 50 other things."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I have suffered from daily migraines every day, for the past 4 years. Tried everything on the market and nothing worked. Triptans would work for a while and then my body got used to them. I then heard about the Vyepti trial. It was a game changer for me. It was a miracle drug. It reduced my migraines by 90%. I didn't need to carry triptans in my handbag for every outing. I have had 3 infusions now. In the last week, I have had 3 migraines, so I am hoping that my body isn't getting used to Vyepti. Good luck to everyone."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I have had almost daily migraines for 45 years. Doctors have tried literally everything to help alleviate them. About a year ago, my new headache specialist recommended Vyepti. I said I’d try anything at this point! After my 1st infusion, my headaches decreased in severity and slightly decreased their frequency. I asked my doctor if there was a stronger dose that can be given to me. She increased the dose, and I have rarely had a migraine since! I get an infusion every 3 months, and I can’t tell you what a blessing it has been! Now I don’t have to tell my kids or grandkids, 'I can’t, I have a migraine.'"

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I told my first round of 100 mg on 2/26/23. Two days later, I began getting cold symptoms and sinus pressure and stuffiness. Six weeks later, I still feel stuffy and constantly blowing my nose. I woke up with a headache every day, which I wasn’t experiencing before, but I didn’t have any migraine symptoms for about five weeks. I do feel that it changed my mood. I was depressed or sad, but not happy either, just felt neutral. Still not sure how I feel about it. I may go back to Ajovy."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I have suffered from migraines for 20 years. The past several years, they have become debilitating. There isn’t a medication I haven’t tried. I have completed my 6th infusion. I do feel like it is helping with the intensity of my migraines, but I still get them. The thing I have noticed is 2 weeks after each infusion, I lose huge amounts of hair!!! I started taking pictures because I thought people thought I was exaggerating. I started taking prenatal vitamins because of the hair loss. I will continue with the infusions because I do think they help, and at this point, I am desperate for any relief."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I am absolutely amazed at the results of this medication. I have had migraine headaches for most of my life, since I was 8 yrs old. I had a head injury and I have had horrible headaches since. I have taken almost everything on the market for them: Imitrex, the 'Triptans', Aimovig, most of the relief meds, the vitamin supplements, the natural route... everything. I mean I literally have tried it all. This has made an amazing difference in my life. To wake up & actually NOT have a headache is absolutely wonderful. I hadn't known that life in so long, I cried when it happened. I am on 300 mg now as the starting dose helped but didn't work long. Now I only get a headache when it's the week of my infusion, which is amazing. I will definitely take that compared to what I had before. I also use Nurtec as my relief med, which the combination is completely unmatched. I am so grateful for this new medication."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I was diagnosed with migraine when I was 5, then, in adulthood, they became chronic. Over the past 3 months, I’ve had daily migraines, and no preventative or triptan has worked on this latest round of daily migraines. I received my first Vyepti infusion one week ago, and I have not had a single migraine since the infusion. So far, this medication is working well to prevent migraines, but for me, there has been a downside. Since receiving the infusion, I have had severe joint pain, and I am exhausted. I’m hoping that the joint pain and fatigue pass soon, but if they do not, I won’t be getting a second infusion. The joint pain is intense, and no OTC pain meds are working to relieve it."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I have had 4 doses of Vyepti since Nov 2023, after suffering chronic migraine for 37 years. I have tried so many different medications, and Vyepti is the one and only treatment that has given me any real relief. When I say I suffered chronic migraine, I am talking pain rating of 7-10 out of ten, 24/7 every single day without a break from the age of 11. With Vyepti, I now only suffer with migraine pain of 6 or 7 out of 10, approximately 4 or 5 days a month! My only concern is that I woke with my left leg completely numb on Christmas Day 2023 and have nasty nerve pain in my back (started in about March 2023), and after having blood tests and an MRI of my back and brain, no cause has been identified. My neurologist wants me to stop Vyepti to see if this is the cause. I will be strongly advocating to NOT stop Vyepti at my next appointment with him. If the numbness and nerve pain is caused by the Vyepti, I consider it a small price to pay!"

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I’ve had migraines since I was 16 and am now 46. Vyepti is the only preventive medicine that has ever worked for me. I just had my 2nd dose. Only had 3-4 migraines since receiving my first infusion, and my Imitrex took care of those much faster than normal; they didn’t end up lasting 3+ days. It’s been absolutely life-changing. No noticeable side effects—think my weight gain has much more to do with me than my Vyepti."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I just had my second infusion done on 11/01/24. Overall, it seems to be helping. I did notice towards the last month my headaches returned more frequently. Also, after receiving the infusion, I experience feeling very tired and nap on and off for the next 24-48 hours. I get a slight stuffed nose and sore throat, but that goes away after a few days. I’m feeling overall positive about this treatment plan."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I have had one infusion of Vyepti and my consumption of Sumatriptan has gone down drastically. I do have headaches, but they are much milder, and usually, I can skip the abortive medication. Side effects have not been an issue."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "Not sure I get anything from it. The first infusion, I got a worse headache on both sides of my head that lasted about 6 weeks. Nothing would help it. I just took a second infusion (I told the Dr. I would try it for a year), and I am having head pain again, and I am having problems with fatigue. Not sure I will make it to a 3rd try on this, but this was my last hurrah, so unless something else is created, I am at the end of the line."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I am on Vyepti for chronic migraine and cluster headaches. It has given me relief: less migraine and headache after my second dose, but the actual side effects for me are brain fog and very low mood, which is hard to balance out. Is it worth the side effects for me? It’s bearable, but I’d rather not feel these side effects. I do recommend Vyepti to others, as I’ve tried nearly every other drug, including nerve blocks, and nothing has worked."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "Just had my second Vyepti infusion, first of 300 mg, for chronic migraine. First infusion was in April of 100 mg Vyepti. Had mild itching on my face after 1st infusion. April was great, hardly any headaches. May was tough, had 10 headaches. After two headaches the first of June, the rest of the month was wonderful. My neurologist suggested I take a double dose of allergy medicine prior to the infusion. I did and had no side effects. Looking forward to no headaches this treatment period. I had good success with Emgality but insurance would no longer pay for it. But they do pay for Vyepti."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "The infusion process was simple and comfortable, no noticeable side effects after administration. This was my first dose (100 mg) and after 10 weeks, I have not seen any reduction in migraine frequency yet. I'm hopeful that my second dose, or maybe a dosage increase to 300 mg, will yield better results. Fingers crossed, as I have tried almost every other option."

For Migraine Prevention "I took my first dose in August 2021 and had no side effects. I took the Pfizer COVID vaccine on September 3, and I started to have nausea. I thought it was due to the vaccine, but a week before I was due for my second round of Vyepti, the nausea went away. I took the second dose, and the nausea returned. A week before the third dose was due, the nausea went away. Therefore, I decided to go back on Emgality. Within a few days of taking the Emgality, the nausea returned. Prior to August 2021, I took Emgality for nearly a year with no side effects. My doctor and I think that it is possible that the COVID vaccine and this class of medication do not mix. I have been on this class of medication since December 2019 whether it was Aimovig, Emgality, or Ajovy and did not have any nausea until I took the vaccine. I did have a significant amount of weight gain but thought it was from taking another medication. Recently, I have been reading that others have gained weight on Emgality, so I have to wonder."

For Chronic Migraine "I have suffered from chronic migraines for around 7 years and have tried lots of medication, including Botox, Aimovig, etc. The Botox worked very well for 2.5 years, and then I formed antibodies to it, so it no longer worked. I had my first Vyepti infusion in September 2023, and it has worked relatively well for me. However, I get significant trail off around week 8 or 9 and start to get migraines. I would say that I have had a reduction of around 30% to 40%, which has been life-changing for me. I haven't suffered any side effects. My only gripe is that you can only get a 100 mg infusion in the UK, and I think I would do better with a 300 mg infusion, which would possibly reduce the trail off."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "I have been getting Vyepti infusions for two years. It seems to work for 6 or 7 weeks along with a quarterly Botox and Nurtec regimen. Although with the bad weather, variable barometric pressure, and no more Nurtec, this week has been the worst since my migraines began 10 years ago."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "During my second infusion that was 300mg, I got a migraine. During my first 3 months of 100mg I saw improvement in weather-related triggers and odors. But I was more light sensitive, especially to the TV. My doctor gave me Ajovy samples to supplement the Vyepti unit I could go to 300mg."

Eptinezumab for Migraine Prevention "Vyepti has been wonderful for controlling my chronic migraines. The only side effects that I get are dry mouth and bruising at the infusion site. I get the maximum dose, infused over half an hour, every three months. The third month, I start to have more breakthrough migraines, but they aren't as severe as usual. I get the infusion done at the hospital specialty clinic, so it doesn't cost me anything."
