For Dry Skin "I have been using CeraVe for almost 3 weeks. I liked it the first few days, and then I got some dry patches on my cheeks and forehead. I kept using the moisturizing cream, thinking it would help. A few days ago, my eyes got puffy and the dry spots worse, and today my face felt like it was on fire. I was miserable and made a trip to a First Care Clinic since it is Saturday. I got a steroid shot and am feeling better. She thought it was the CeraVe moisturizer."

For Dry Skin "I have sensitive skin and thought I would try CeraVe moisturizing lotion, as I had read good things about the brand. It didn't seem to cause any problems initially, but I have now developed an itchy, inflamed red rash over my entire face. There is nothing on the packaging to suggest it could be irritating to some people. I will not use it again."

For Vaginal Dryness "I am 56 years old and experienced a surgical-induced menopause after having both ovaries removed 12 months ago. I started using Replens approximately 3 weeks ago, and it states to use twice weekly. My GP prescribed it as I was experiencing what I can only describe as discomfort around the urethra (and just inside the vaginal opening). After using Replen 5 times, it's not helped much, but I haven't experienced the brown discharge or any discharge for that matter, which worries me as if I'm putting it up there, where's it going? I'm writing this as three days ago I started with irritation in the vaginal opening, which has gotten worse. Day 3 today, and only toilet paper with cold water soothes it. The area is sore, red, and has a burning sensation. I've used Canesten thinking it might be that, but after reading these comments, I'm convinced it's Replens that's causing it. I am also on Vagifem twice weekly and HRT 1% daily. This product is expensive too. Going to try natural SYLK now, as lots of women have recommended it."

For Dry Skin "PRODUCT: JERGENS NATURAL GLOW WET SKIN MOISTURIZER. After my first application, my skin appeared more tan-I was happy with the results. After my 2nd application, I developed itchiness around my neck, back of my neck, and the inside of my forearms. I’m now day 5 after the 1st application, and the itchiness is extremely severe and feels extremely tight. I now have large dried blotchy spots with the appearance of red, old-looking, wrinkled skin. I now have to avoid the outdoors due to the burning and itching that’s intensified with perspiration because it’s too much to bear. I am now seeking medical attention. This product should’ve never made “the shelf” with the slightest possibility of causing a reaction such as this. I’m left with old-looking, wrinkly, itchy, red skin and now facing doctor bills."

For Dry Skin "I have been an eczema sufferer all of my life. For the most part, I am eczema-free now, except for my eyelids and intermittent body flares. I had been using Protopic, which worked very well, except I had a sensitivity to an inactive ingredient, which caused large cysts on my eyebrow area that were painful. I was given trial samples of EpiCeram to use. Quite honestly, I do not find it helpful. The Protopic would clear my skin in 1-2 applications (along with the steroids for my body), whereas EpiCeram I would apply twice a day for an entire week and saw no improvement. In fact, I had a rash on my chest that I was applying the EpiCeram to, and it seemed to make it worse. I used it on my face and broke out with small pimples and blotchy."

For Dry Skin "I got a tattoo on my lower leg. An area of it that was directly over my shin bone became an open wound after the skin peeled off. My derm gave me samples of Biafine and told me to apply it twice daily. I am amazed at the healing after only 3 days of application! The cream soothes the pain and promotes healing rapidly! I think whoever invented it should receive an award, as I have never had such a rapid and significant response to a medication. I highly recommend it...ask your derm about it. (P.S. - I am an RN with 35 years of experience.)"

For Dry Skin "I love this cream! I have extremely dry skin on my body. It itches-terrible. This is the only cream that gives me relief. I apply it daily all over, and problem solved!! It's affordable. I get it at the Dollar Store. I wish it smelled a bit better, but I can live with it because it works so well."

For Dry Skin "I seem to be the rare exception, but I used Mederma for approximately five days, and by day five, I had a golf ball-size round area that looks like millions of raised, angry red bumps. They are very rough to the touch, and so far, after stopping all product application, have not reduced in size, but the redness is more of a bright pink now."

For Dry Skin "I purchased the Blistex strawberry coconut lip smoothies as a part of a 3-pack. After using it, my lips turned bright red, burned, are hot to touch, itchy, and very swollen. I’ve put ice on them, but it’s been two days and hasn’t gotten any better. The other scents/flavors in the pack didn’t give me this reaction. I really think there is something wrong because this is the second time this happened after using the strawberry one."

For Dry Skin "I always had hormonal pimples, but my skin wasn't dry or oily. Since using Cetaphil, my forehead is extremely oily and broken out in small pimples. My face burns when I use the cleanser, but I have never had sensitive skin, so I am unsure what is happening."

For Vaginal Dryness "This stuff has totally changed my life, it works so well. I was in such discomfort, and my sex life was going down the drain after my hysterectomy. It works amazing and truly does last 3 days for me. That is the only downside: was the discharge at first, but it gets better."

For Vaginal Dryness "Oh my! I wish I’d read the reviews and comments on here first before buying and using Replens. I was actually frightened I’d left a tampon up my vagina, there is that much white clumps coming out, to the point I’ve had to insert my fingers and scoop it out. Until I’d read this, I was about to make an appointment at my doctor’s. Surely this isn’t right."

For Vaginal Dryness "I have used this 4 times this month because I cannot use estrogen. My doctor suggested it as an alternative. There was a thick white substance buildup inside, yuck. I quickly cleansed everything and will not be using this product again. It was very expensive and a waste of time. Sorry, nothing good to say about this product."

For Vaginal Dryness "Absolutely shocking!! I am swollen and on fire inside and outside, labia is swollen. This is the second time I’ve used it, first time same thing, thought I had inserted it incorrectly, but no, same thing second time. Can hardly keep my legs together!! For Dry Skin "I rubbed the lotion into the hands as you would any skin lotion. The skin on my hands immediately felt a burning sensation. My knuckles swelled. I washed my hands and put them under running cold water. It's been 15 minutes, and the burning has gone away. My knuckles still look swollen but are calming down. Eucerin is an OTC skincare cream. This is the first time I used it."

For Vaginal Dryness "I wish I had read this prior to buying 2 tubes of Replens. I have cancer and cannot use estrogen creams. This came highly recommended, but wow, the results. Same as everyone else: white wet tissue discharge. So embarrassing. This should not be on the market. There was not one favorable comment on this site."

For Dry Skin "I used the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing product, and I got a rash and itching to the point of bleeding on my hands, arms, chest, neck, and face. It was a terrible reaction to the product. My 103 yr. old mother used it and experienced similar reactions to it. After the reaction, I immediately washed it off my mother and me. She healed after about a week, and it's taken over a month for my skin to heal. I couldn't go out and socialize with friends because I looked terrible. But my hands and arms are sensitive, and my hands and arms are no longer sensitive. I can no longer wash dishes with dish soap without them getting itchy. The skin on my hands looks rough, and the texture is not the same as it was before I used GB lotion. I've never had a reaction to lotions and creams before using the Gold Bond."

For Dry Skin "I was dismissed after 35 radiation treatments on my left lower leg with a huge gaping wound. (Severe radiation burn. About nine inches long, four inches wide, and probably a half inch deep on top of the left lower leg.) The radiation doctor told me to put Aquaphor on the enormous wound. What a joke. Aquaphor did absolutely nothing to help the wound. (My leg had been treated after surgery to remove a sarcoma.) Went straight home to my computer and looked up 'heal radiation burns' on Amazon. Found Biafine immediately. It completely healed that big wound in one week. AMAZING."

For Dry Skin "I opened a new tube of the Blistex Fruit Smoothies on Sunday. I have gotten up the last 3 days with extremely swollen, red, burning lips. I'm not sure which ingredient is the problem. I have used Blistex products for years with no side effects. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE BLISTEX FRUIT SMOOTHIES!!"

For Vaginal Dryness "After feeling like I had a constant yeast infection and irritation after sex, I realized it was dryness. I'm 43, had a hysterectomy 6 years ago, and suffer from Sjogren's syndrome. I tried Replens. The first dose, I had huge, white clumps that looked like wet toilet paper. Thought the second dose would be better, it wasn't. Two weeks later, I noticed blood clots and bloody discharge. Feels like I have a period again. Will not use again."

For Dry Skin "I have psoriasis on both elbows and one leg. I have tried everything under the sun and meds from the doctor for two years. I went in a store and thought, heck, it can't hurt to try this. I did, and within a day of using the Bag Balm, it was clearing up the psoriasis. This is now my new best friend. So far, so good on day two now, I am itch-free and dry skin is going away."

For Vaginal Dryness "One star! I had the white, clumpy discharge and awful skin irritation. I’m not sure why my gyno recommended this product, but the side effects aren’t worth it, and I’m not sure it did much for my dryness."

For Dry Skin "Beware of Neutrogena French milled soap in hotels. This is not hypoallergenic! Massive skin rash requiring Benadryl and topical steroids for 2 days. Cannot find out what is in this, but I’ve never had it happen with anything else."

For Vaginal Dryness "I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. Thankfully, early stages and surgery was 100% effective. I was researching what products to use to prevent issues with surgical menopause (dryness without using hormones). Replens was highly recommended. I knew about the side effects (white residue from dead cells). It became a sort of a turn-off for your partner after sex (or using toys covered in the white stuff). I switched to Aloe Cadabra. I stopped using Replens for at least 2 weeks, maybe more. It wasn't discharge I found! No odor or itching, but a large amount of white clumps. Like wet toilet paper. I am more disturbed it WASN'T discharge. Not sure if/how it was going to exit or if it would have caused issues if not removed. Still gross! I am not going to use this product again. If Aloe Cadabra doesn't work, I will continue to look for other options."
