For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was ridiculously sick starting around 5-6 weeks pregnancy. At 8 weeks my new Obgyn prescribed Diclegis. I started taking 2 pills at night and I definitely felt better next day - barely any nausea so it definitely served its purpose. However when I returned for the 10 week ultrasound my doctor informed me that there was no heartbeat and the baby stopped growing around 8 weeks. The heartbeat was strong 140 at 7 weeks and this was a totally devastating blow- usually once there is heartbeat above 120 there is a very small chance of miscarriage- about 3-4%. I can’t help but think that maybe it is not a total coincidence that the baby stopped growing and died right around the same time I started taking diclegis. If I am lucky to get pregnant again will never touch this drug :("

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "When I was originally prescribed diclegis I was told to take 2 at night and my zofran in the day as needed. After 3 more visits to the ER my doctor changed the dose from 2 to 4 a day. One in the morning, one in the afternoon and the 2 at night. This was the ONLY thing that worked to end my 24/7 nausea. It does make me super sleepy at times but I'll take that over constantly feeling like I'm dying ANYDAY. Feels good to be able to enjoy a glass of water and a snack without fear of vomiting and having stomach acid come up."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG)! Have with all 6 pregnancies. My last pregnancy (my 5th) my dr gave me diclegis and it changed my whole pregnancy experience! My previous 4 pregnancies I suffered for 5-6 months constantly puking, weak, fatigued can't get out of bed, can't keep food or water down, in fact I have been hospitalized with every pregnancy for dehydration and was admitted for 3-5 day where the pumped me up with phenergan and zofran ( other nausea meds) I would feel a little better but the nausea was never gone! After my first dose of diclegis I immediately felt a difference! Let me be clear this is the only thing that has ever really helped take away the vomiting and nausea EVER I've tried everything! During my 5th pregnancy when I started taking the diclegis it was the first time I felt relief. I am now pregnant with my 6th child and I have started diclegis again because at 6 weeks I'm so sick with nausea and vomiting I can't get out of bed!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have always had horrible morning sickness. This time around I am pregnant with twins and it was much worse. I started the medication and it stopped the ache of nausea all the time! The bad is it did stop the nausea but I had no signs when I was going to throw up. So you randomly throw up without knowing your stomach is upset..not fun at All. The bad thing is with the co-pay with my insurance was $160, so very pricy but worth it."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Okay so last time I wrote a review (2019-04-25) I was just put on diclegis and my review might not move some people but today after taking it for one month I can say girls if you are pregnant and you have nausea then you deserve this medicine. Ask for samples if you want to give it a try before buying and please if Unisom and Vit b6 doesn’t work day one it won’t ever work on you I wasted two weeks on it. Also if reglan made you sick like it did to me throw the pill and ask for Diclegis and I'm sure it will help but above all lies help of God I thank him that I can have this medicine and be happily pregnant ."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started taking this medication three weeks ago and it works great for morning sickness but they don't tell you the risks they say it is safe for both you and the baby yet I started having severe chest and back pain and had blood work done over and over and they told me I was fine but I hadn't had a bowel movement in almost two weeks and I was in so much pain I couldn't get out of bed......but i found out it was the reason for all my problems, restless sleep, chest pain, back pain, not being able to stand or take care of my children it was not worth the pain and the suffering and imagine what you baby is going through if your in all that pain. There is a reason it was off the market for 30 years."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I want to throw a ticker tape parade for the manufacturers of this medicine. It changed my life. I'm 13 weeks and was flat on my back gagging all day every day. I tried all the tricks and nothing worked until I tried this. I am back in the land of the living and hoping to regain the 10 lbs I lost in the 1st trimester. I did A LOT of research and there is nothing that indicates that this medicine causes any problems whatsoever for baby. It is probably the best researched medicine on the market to date. Emily Oster's book Expecting Better has a nice explanation for why it was pulled in the US (but not UK or Canada) for 30 yrs."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "So I suffer from hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) (severe nausea and vomiting) I was prescribed zofran with my first pregnancy and the birth defects that were listed that could effect my baby, effected my baby. I was so angry and upset with my doctor for telling me it was safe to take. My daughter now has a heart defect. Second pregnancy, I suffered so much more than my first. I found a new obgyn and he prescribed me Diclegis. I will say this, it’s a life saver. I was vomiting 20-25 times a day and the nausea never went away. I couldn't drink or eat anything I lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks. This drug is the only thing that is safe during pregnancy and it was the only drug that works. I would only recommend this to anyone that suffers from HG."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was given samples of Diclegis to help with my all day sickness. It seems safe so I was pretty excited to take it. First night took 2 pills and the next morning no nausea but I was dead tired, had dry mouth, and had stomach aches. Literally felt like a zombie couldn't drive barely made it out of bed. I had to stop taking it because I can't miss work. The next day I had a severe migraine never had one prior. It could have been due to me stopping the medication or it wearing off but I couldn't see nor function. I'd rather deal with the nausea than the side effects honestly. I feel bad but cannot function on Diclegis. Pregnant women are already tired we don't need to add to it. I'm glad it's working for others but thought I'd share my experience."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was completely disabled by my nausea. I had zero appetite, simple tasks seemed impossible and went 2 weeks without working. At approx 7 weeks my doctor prescribed Diclegis. I must say I was extremely hesitant but after another week of constant nausea I decided I would give in. The change has been miraculous. I can sleep better, have an appetite (limited to salty or sour things only) and nausea almost completely gone. After a few weeks or taking Diclegis, I decided to test not taking one night and spent a full day in bed with nausea and not being able to eat. Later that night I took my 2 pills again and next day feeling absolutely wonderful. This medication is a life saver."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This drug has saved me from going insane because of how ill I was. I suffered from severe Nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. Throwing up for weeks on end, I would throw up every few hours. I went days without being able to keep anything down, including water. Those who suffer from NVP, I know your suffering... it is so awful! I was stuck on the couch and in bed for over a month and then I finally decided it was time to go on medicine. My quality of life was 0 before this medication. This medicine is definitely on the spendier side but worth every penny if you are suffering. If this medication didn't exist I would no doubt be in the hospital."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I'm 4 months along with my second child. This pregnancy is very different from the last. I never had such bad nausea, vomiting and dry heaving. I'm taking thus medicine in an as needed basis. So far I need one pill at night and another about mid morning. The original prescription said one morning, one mid day and two at night. I did that once and slept until 2 pm the next day. That's not healthy either. The only complaint I have is the cost. It ran $178.53 for us. A cost that wasn't expected but when Phenergren and Zofran isn't working....you give in. Just as every OTC or prescription, there are side effects. For me the benefit outweighs the risk. Try to stay away from medication until at least 13 wks."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medication was a life saver. I went to the ER twice with dehydration from severe vomiting. I couldn’t keep any food or water down. I was diagnosed with HG and sent home with a prescription for diclegis and zofran. I did not take the zofran, but took the diclegis religiously. It didn’t stop me from feeling ill right away, but it too the edge off and I could continue to work. I was still nauseous but able to eat again. After a month on the medicine I was gaining weight (after having lose 15lbs of prepregnancy weight) and I was eating like a champ! Yes, this medicine does make you EXTREMELY tired, but I’d rather fight the day tired than throwing up. (25weeks and still taking it because I’m still sick)"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "When I was around 6 weeks pregnant I was vomiting NON-STOP. It got to the point where I could not even hold down water. The doctor prescribed me Diclegis and it has been a MIRACLE drug. I take two tablets at night before I go to bed (caution that it does make you very sleepy) which I find an added perk because it helps me get a full nights rest. There are some mornings where I wake up still feeling slightly nauseous but I am not vomiting so the occasional slight nausea I can deal with. If you’re looking for something to make the 1st trimester nausea/vomiting disappear (or almost disappear) look no further because this is the drug for you."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My first two pregnancies my doctor said I had HG. I popped all blood vessels in both my eyes and was so desperate and miserable not keeping anything down. My third pregnancy my doctor finally told me about diclegis! What a lifesaver! I no longer had to have a zofran pump in my stomach or walk around my house with an IV pole! The first dose I was tired, took a nap right away! The next few days I was tired too. But I had to take 3-4 a day every day, until I delivered my baby. So the tiredness wore off. I could drive and function just fine after taking it for a week or two. I'd rather be tired than have black eyes, look like a zombie, not be able to keep down an ice cube, and cry 100 times a day. If you're really suffering, this is worth it!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This sent me to the hospital!!! I was on my second pregnancy and my OB prescribed Diclegis for my morning sickness, which feels more like all day sickness. I decided to wait till night time to take 1 instead of 2 because it said it caused drowsiness and my toddler was 1 at the time. So I wake up at 4am feeling extremely flushed, I could feel my blood pumping through my body! My heart is racing out of control. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack! I called 911 and the paramedics said my HR was at 120. Once I got to the ER I started to hyperventilate to the point where I couldn't walk, talk, and my extremities became stiff. OB laughed at me didn't believe any of my side effects, fired him, never took it again! Don't recommend it!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I am thirteen weeks pregnant and have been taking this medicine since 6 weeks. At first I didn't notice any difference but one day my nausea disappeared. Completely! I thought that the medicine had nothing to do with it since I was sick for Two weeks while taking it. 3 times I have forgotten to take it l and spent the following day puking. This medicine has given me my life back. I have two younger kids at home and I don't have the time to be sick."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Hi. I have always been sick with each pregnancy and was put on Zofran. It worked sometimes. I have been taking Diclegis for about a month and it work the same as Zofran for me. Sometimes it work- other times it doesn't. I am up to 4 polls per day. Sometimes I still throw up and feel nauseous - like today. I guess the best thing for me is to get my tubes tied. I can't deal with this whole pregnancy thing ever again. I know one thing for sure that this is the very last pregnancy for me."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I lost 15 lbs due to nausea and vomiting since my 7th week of pregnancy. I was vehemently against taking any medication, but after I researched this medication I felt that it was as safe as a medication can be during pregnancy. I was at risk of losing my baby due to the significant weight loss, so I am grateful for this safe, completely effective medication. It is working for me at the lowest dose, and I feel I should buy stock in the company selling this wonderful drug. I am able to eat, drink, and maintain a normal lifestyle after weeks of misery. I highly recommend this drug if the traditional methods of managing NVP are not effective for you. I was lucky enough to receive samples from my OBGYN, so I cannot say anything as to cost."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my 4th pregnancy. I've always had bad morning sickness with each pregnancy but always ended by my 10th week. I started the Rx at 7 weeks and tried stopping at 13 weeks but experience terrible withdrawal symptoms. I only take 1 pill at night. When I tried stopping the med, I violently throw up, nauseous all day, body aches and excessive sweating. I would have never started the prescription if I knew stopping it is this painful."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I had pretty bad morning sickness starting around my 6th week of pregnancy. I got to where I dreaded waking up the next day because I knew I’d be super nauseous and sometimes vomit. At my first appointment at 8 weeks I told the dr I was experiencing nausea and vomiting and he prescribed me this and it’s an absolute godsend! Taken at bedtime, I felt much better the next day! You don’t have to worry about this drug because all it is is a high dosage of Vitamin B6 and unisom. I’m now 27 weeks and still taking it every night because I’ve been feeling good and am scared to stop it and be sick again! Lol. I tried stopping it early in the 2nd trimester but promptly vomited throughout the day, so I plan on continuing to take it because my doctor said it is safe to do so."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was prescribed this medicine for my morning sickness. I haven't been able to get out of bed since I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant. This medicine does help me to not feel nauseous, but the side effects are terrible. I feel as if I've been given a heavy sedative. I started with the prescribed does of two pills at bedtime. When I woke up the following day I could barely lift my head off the pillow and was in and out of strange drug enduced sleep all day. I tried taking the medication again but only taking one pill. The effects were the same and I felt like I was on heavy drugs. Tried for a 3rd time but only a half pill. Same outcome. Can't get out of bed, foggy and in and out of sleep."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medicine makes me feel paralyzed. I felt fine the first night I took it, it clearly stopped my night time nausea. But by the morning, I literally could not lift my head off the pillow for HOURS. I tried driving and felt like I was in an awake coma. I immediately called my Dr and asked for my Zofran back that I took in my first and second pregnancy. I would not recommend this medicine to anyone unless you can and want to sleep all day and have no other responsibilities requiring you to wake up and care for yourself and others. Seriously, I want to treat nausea not be in a coma. Thanks but no thanks."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started taking diclegis at 7 weeks (was totally against medicine, but the nausea was unbearable). I was so glad I did try it because it worked like magic. Huge difference the following day if I didn't take it at night. It also helped with my moodiness and over sensitivity to smell. 11 weeks later, I am discontinuing use of it - hoping I can manage the symptoms myself. I did not get side effects at first, but about 9-10 weeks into taking it (16-17 weeks of pregnancy), I started to lose sleep at night and stay tired all day. Since not taking diclegis, I can sleep at night now. I think my body just got used to it and started to react with hyperactivity. Also noticed reduced fetal movement while taking it versus not."
