Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "This is my third form of birth control, I have taken (Loestrin and Femcon previously). Honestly, this is the best pill I have been on so far. Unlike the other pills I have taken, there is no irregular bleeding and no cramps. Natazia has been the best to me, and my periods are now shorter and lighter. The only downfall of this pill is I'm breaking out. I'm 20 years old, and even on the other two pills, acne was never an issue. If I wasn't breaking out from it, Natazia would be a perfect birth control pill for me."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I have been taking Natazia birth control for 10-15 years now. It is a daily pill. I'm super happy with them! I tried some other birth controls before Natazia that didn't work for me. I'm born and raised in Europe, and over there the birth control is marketed as 'Qlaira.' Same pills, same look, same ingredients. I was SUPER happy when I found out they had the same pills. I have been feeling great, and I'm sticking with Natazia! I don't normally get a period taking Natazia (once in a while maybe). I don't really get any cramps, etc., if so, very minor. Overall, really recommend this pill, and I'm not swapping brands ever!"

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 2 years now and LOVE IT. I have a severe bleeding condition to the point where I was in the hospital getting blood transfusions because of a period I had. Natazia has cured that. No more heavy bleeding and NO PREGNANCIES. The only reason I am having to switch from this to a new birth control pill is because the co-payment keeps going up, otherwise, I would stay on this."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I went on this pill because my other pills made my breasts too tender. The pill was great when I started in March, but then in July and August, I have had bleeding for more than a week. At the beginning, I never had any bleeding, and it took away my period fully. Now I bleed heavily for more than a week."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I started taking this birth control after experiencing bad PMS, heavy bleeding, and weight gain with my previous BC pills. The first few months were great. My PMS symptoms were barely noticeable, and I was able to lose 20 lbs over 4 months. But then I started getting my period a week before I was supposed to, and it would last 7 days or more. After about 8 months, the heavy bleeding and cramps came back. After 1 year, I went in for my annual pap, and it turned out I had fibroids in my uterus and an ovarian cyst. I have never had those issues before. I was told estrogen can 'feed' the fibroids, causing them to grow, and that can cause the heavy bleeding. Anyway, I got off this pill and decided to get my tubes tied since I do not want more children."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "Side effects were absolutely not worth it, particularly as this drug costs $150 per month in my region of the USA. Problems it caused: insatiable hunger, ~50 lbs weight gain, milia around eyes, swelling, increased hair shedding, wild mood swings, drained energy, worsened menstrual cycle. I discontinued it in February 2018, and most of the problems have abated. My menstrual cycle, however, is in complete chaos, and I've spent the entire month of July bleeding with no end in sight. All I can do is wait it out as my physiology reasserts itself, but the expenses of needing to buy feminine hygiene products and various diagnostic labs/procedures are becoming untenable. I would never take this drug again for any reason and do not recommend it to anyone, especially patients who struggle with weight or mood issues, hair loss, estrogen dominance, or endocrine disorders. Use condoms or get a tubal ligation and save yourself from an extremely expensive mess."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I started this pill because I was bleeding for nearly 3 months straight. It stopped my period, but then the following months, I would get heavy bleeding for 5 days straight. It also gave me horrible migraines at least 3 times a week."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I love this pill. I was on Loestrin 24 for my first pill, and I was so moody! My doctor switched me to Natazia, and I have had no side effects! I know pills are different for everyone, but this pill has really changed my view on birth control. Periods are still 3-5 days and moderate bleeding/cramping, but no nausea or breast tenderness. Also comes with a Bayer savings card."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I've been on this medicine for 11 months. After trying numerous birth control pills, I was finally excited to try something that had decent reviews. However, it did not work for me. I have had two periods per month the entire 11 months I have been on it. I have breakthrough bleeding that lasts anywhere from 1-4 days, in addition to two periods per month."

For Birth Control "I was on Natazia, and the only side effect I had was nausea. I got married, and my husband took me on his insurance, which didn't cover Natazia, so I had to switch to Ortho Tri-Cyclen. The day I started Ortho, I felt tired and moody. I thought it was because I had started my period. The next day, it worsened, and I felt like I couldn't breathe, and my heart rate felt weird. I went back to Natazia and felt so much better right away!"

For Birth Control "Awful pill, my uterus hurt throughout the 3 months I took it. Larin Fe works so much better, no heavy periods or cramps. Dienogest/Estradiol made my periods heavier, and it started giving me cramps. I've never experienced a cramp since I first started my period as a young girl. Would never take this pill ever again."

For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding "When I reached my preteen years, I started having a never-ending period cycle, with a two to three day break in between. I always had a wonky period cycle. I started my period when I was 11, and it lasted for a normal week in March and didn't come back for a year. It then evened out and became normal until my 14th year when it started to become my life. It would go from 3 months straight to 3 months off and then to many months on and only a couple weeks off and then only a couple days off by my 17th birthday. That's when I was finally trial run through the process of several different BC pills, and this one ended up working amazingly. I'd rather not have it at all than have it every day of my life! But now I can't afford it, so I have to say bye."

For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding "I started taking it for excessive bleeding (was hospitalized with anemia a few times). The first month was okay - the bleeding definitely was lighter. I did get some dizziness, but it was minor. In the second month, on day 7, bleeding started. At first light, and then the most severe I ever experienced, with clots so huge and frequent that I did not understand where they could be coming from. I kept taking the pills through the second package since the doctor told me my body has to get used to the hormones - but I became so anemic and fatigued that I could not get out of bed. Did not start the third package. Could work for some - was horrible for me."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I have been on Natazia for over 3 years now, and it has truly changed my life. Every other type of birth control I took made me hormonal, crazy, and have significant prolonged breakthrough bleeding. After 3 months of spotting on Mirena, my doctor switched me to Natazia, and it has been positive ever since. A couple of days of spotting every few months, but usually no period at all. Never worn more than a panty liner or light tampon in the 3 years. I love this pill and tell everyone I know about it. I had to fight my insurance company to cover it because, without insurance, it was $680 a month. It is worth the $30 a month I pay to feel normal."

Dienogest / estradiol for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding "I took Natazia after having it prescribed for heavy bleeding. Before starting, I would bleed through a pad every time I went from a seated to standing position and passing painful, tangerine-sized clots. (Sorry for TMI but trying to be helpful.) I suffered with severe anemia after every cycle due to my period having no end date and sometimes lasting weeks to months. The first two weeks on Natazia, I did notice headaches, breakouts, and a 'meh' emotional state, not depressed or anxious, but I just felt nothing, almost like a robot. After my first month, everything was great, I was back to being as joyful and happy as ever, I had a high sex drive, my acne was alright, and I did notice an increase in discharge (I don't really mind it). Periods lasted 2 days every month, ranging from light to simply spotting. I was on it for around 7 months until stopping a few months ago. I did notice after stopping, I had a few weird side effects and blood pressure issues, but those resolved soon."

Dienogest / estradiol for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding "My doctor lies to me. I was put on this pill after being in Lo Loestrin Fe that caused constant breakthrough bleeding. I got on this one specifically to stop that. Guess what? Two weeks in, just like Loestrin and just like clockwork, I'm having very heavy breakthrough bleeding and cramping that has prevented me from moving or eating for three days now. Horrible pill that does nothing for me. Switching immediately."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I took Natazia due to some period irregularities and painful cramps. It did help with the cramps, but after 3 months, I still have occasional light breakthrough bleeding. Other pills cause me terrible nausea, but this one did not give me that side effect. Also, my heavier bleeding days were definitely shortened. There was no increase or decrease in acne or decreased sex drive. However, I think it is causing my hair to shed more than normal. Overall, I will likely stop taking it because the pros don't seem to outweigh the cons. But it's a decent pill option for those who need it for preventing pregnancy."

Dienogest / estradiol for Birth Control "I took Natazia for 4 months after taking Levora/Portia for 2 years. My libido went WAY UP. In the first 2 months, everything was fine, my period was light, my appetite decreased, and I even lost a little weight. However, in the last 2 months, I had bleeding every 2 weeks. I bled on Days 10-15 exactly like a heavy/regular period. I began getting chest and facial acne and headaches (which are not normal for me). So, after 4 months, I had to switch. The increase in libido was awesome, but it is not so awesome to be 'unavailable' for additional days (beyond the period) each month."
