Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I started taking it twice a day and have seen an improvement. I can count on one hand the times I've had to take pain medicines since I've started taking Arthrotec. I'm anxious to see how I do next time the weather changes. Now I want to get of the Lyrica that I've been taking for over a year."

For Osteoarthritis "I was prescribed 50-0.2 mg twice a day. This medicine did work to relieve my back pain, but it came at a cost. It caused me to have severe stomach cramps and constantly feel nauseous. I had to stop taking the medicine because of this problem."

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I have been on Arthrotec for 12 yrs now. For me it was a life saver. I fractured 11 vertebra , both shoulders, both legs, bother arms-and had multiple surgery's. This medicine was like no other I had tried before. It allowed me to regain some type of life. "

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I was on Arthrotec for about 2 years and found it to be a great drug, but now have had to go off it because of risk of kidney damage and cannot take any more NSAIDs. I have been put on Plaquenil and while waiting for it to kick in, have also been put on Prednisone, which has helped tremendously. Hope the Plaquenil will soon work so I can get off the Prednisone."

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "Two very effective medications combined is very convenient. However, it's still hard on the stomach. The misoprostol dosage should be higher, perhaps 300mcg with the 50mg and 400mcg with the 75mg. Also, diclofenac is hard on the kidneys. But used 2 days a week it is very effective."

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have had RA for 6 yrs. Recently I changed Docs, and he suggested Arthrotec as it was discovered I have early onset OA as well, I needed something else besides Metho and Humira. Let me say, Arthrotec is AMAZING, I hadn't felt so good in years! I am 35 yrs old and I was able to play with my kids, run around which I haven't been able to do. All was great until I ended up in the ER. I thought I was having a heart attack. Luckily it was not but it was an Ulcer. At least I had a little time with my kids."

For Osteoarthritis "I was taking Diclofenac-Mistrust 75-200 TB twice daily. It caused me to have gastritis so severe that I thought I would die. Had to stop taking it and begin another medication for my stomach. Don't like it at all"

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) for Sciatica "Started taking this medication about a week ago for Sciatica related pain, I had L5-L6 back surgery 10 years ago and get flare ups of pain from post surgery. It has helped the pain a fair bit, I still feel the right buttock pain when driving my car but other types of sittings is much better. The side effects are not so good, ablot of bloating. I feel like I have a balloon in my tummy; upset stomach; light headed and dizzy. With having vertigo in the past its hard to tell if is Vertigo or the medication. Doctor wanted me to try it for 2 weeks but will go see him today after 1 week and have a chat with him about it. My dosage is 2 pills per day with food 50MG. I will ask if taking 1 per day may be and idea and who knows it may be enough?"

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have been diagnosed with RA and X-rays also show degenerated disk disease. I usually take Celebrex, but when my back flares up I go to the one and only Arthrotec 50 mg / twice a day. I can actually get back on the treadmill again. The only medication that loosens up my back. A wonder drug!"

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "Suffering from RA, Osteo, Fibro, and Sjogrens. Diagnosed at 41, am now 53. On Enbrel and Arthrotec75. This combination works very well for me, I still have pain but it is manageable. I tried to do generic arthrotec but it did not work. I usually take one tab before bed. If I am going to be very active, I will take one on the morning as well, but that is rare. The gas and stomach upset is expected along with feeling very hungry, and I do have bathroom issues from it. I have lost weight while taking this. I believe a lot of inflammation stems from the digestive track and when it is emptied I suffer a lot less. I will watch my kidneys, but as for this med I love it and the pros outweigh the cons."

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) for Osteoarthritis "I have Multiple sclerosis (MS) AND severe arthritis. The pain of arthritis is difficult sometimes to define from the other pain effects. If I fall, which is often, that pain is much worse. Lately, I was stupid so I increased the Arthrotec, after having frequent falls and finding the pain too much. Because of the higher dose, now I have edema (swelling) in my legs, and feet. I must start weaning back to a lesser dose since edema may not be likely, but it IS listed as a possibility. Even with my MS, I never had edema. I have to wing it from here. I'd rather have pain from ages-present arthritis, than edema because I stupidly thought a rather low dose would be a good thing to increase without considering the cost of really bad side effects. Lesson to take away: leave the dosing to your doctor and don't play at being a know-it-all because that never, ever works."

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) for Osteoarthritis "After taking two 50mg doses am and pm I am having to sit up in bed hoping that the gas and stomach upset will pass so I can get some sleep. I did notice some pain relief but I won't take it again due to the stomach upset."

For Osteoarthritis "I couldn’t take Celebrex for more than 3 days in a row because it would cause stomach pain, but I had found relief from arthritis pain only if I took the recommended dose. One day, my orthopedic doctor gave me samples of Arthrotec 75 to last until a new re-supply of Celebrex came in through my mail order pharmacy. With the very first Arthrotec, I got complete relief from my arthritis aches and pains. As a result, I decided to wait until my pain came back before taking another. I was able to wait several days before needing another (I’m patient with pain as long as I can function without medication), and I found that I got complete relief with each tablet. I never take 2 a day, and I never have to take them 2 days in a row. I never went back to Celebrex, incidentally. I recommend taking Arthrotec only as needed due to the risks involved with ANY medication. I can honestly recommend it to anyone except a high-risk patient. The effects are dramatic."

For Osteoarthritis "Very helpful with arthritis pain but side effects outweigh helpfulness. I noticed nausea, severe leg cramps, feeling uncomfortable after eating small amount of food, fast weight gain. The main reason I quit this medication was because I felt it was making my antidepressant medication (Effexor) way less effective."

For Osteoarthritis "I have been taking this medication for well over a year now and I am totally satisfied. It has made my arthritis bearable. Even though my prescription allows me to take 2 a day, so far I have only taken 1 before bed time. I am nearly 76 years old. My husband who is 65 started taking the same medication but he takes at least 2 every day. He also has 2 slipped discs from a back injury along with the arthritis."

"I crashed mountain biking. I went to the emergency and the doctor wasn't very good. Six days later I went to my family GP in excruciating pain after taking advil for six days. He prescribed 75 mg every 12 hours and after 30 minutes much of the pain was gone. I am waiting for an xray and ultrasound to confirm the doctor's diagnosis."

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) for Osteoarthritis "Arthrotec 75 tablets taken twice daily as prescribed by one doctor resulted in a severe stomach ulcer requiring an antacid medication regimen for 30 days . Also blood test was performed. Arthrotec only made in non coated form so will not protect stomach lining and should not even be approved for use!!"

For Sciatica "After taking 50 mg twice a day for a few months the pain started coming back. I talked to my doctor and we are currently trying 75 mg twice per day. After about a month I have decided it may be time to slowly go off it as it is not really doing a whole lot to relieve my lower right buttock pain that radiates down my leg/hamstring/calf and into one side of my foot. Only other med on file from the surgeon who did my L5-L6 operation a few years ago is Lyrica. The side effects that they show on TV are quite numerous but I may have not other option but to try it."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have used Diclofenac Gel for the last few years. My hip can be very painful to the point that I can hardly turn it from side to side. I can spread a small amount of gel on the area that pains me, rub in in well, and the pain just melts away. I have no side effects from the gel and I use it as directed. I wish I could take Diclofenac pills. I am unable to because I have early kidney disease due to my diabetes and Gastroparesis. Reading all these reviews makes me want to run it by my doctor again!"
