TobraDex (dexamethasone / tobramycin) for Conjunctivitis, Bacterial "Tobradex did the trick. First day: 65% improvement then 10% better each day forward. By the 4th day, the infection and swelling was gone. The drops lasted for 10 days. I did have slighly blurry vision for the entire period which could be the result of me digging out my eyeballs prior to filling the prescription. I would use it again no problem."

TobraDex (dexamethasone / tobramycin) for Conjunctivitis, Bacterial "I get regular bacterial eye infections (not as a result of poor hygiene) had an operation on my inner eyelid to remove a style resulting in loss of tear gland so suffer from chronic dry eye. I've tried lots of drops only Tobradex works - something to do with the steroid content apparently helps reduce the inflammation so helps the antibiotic to work. would appreciated any addition detailed information that might help"

TobraDex (dexamethasone / tobramycin) for Conjunctivitis, Bacterial "Tried Neo Poly Dex for 48 hours, but the infection spread to both eyes and became worse. After just 5 hours on TorbaDex (1 drop/2 hours), I would say I had a 50% improvement. Worth the extra money for sure. I will ask for it again if I'm unlucky enough to have a major bacterial eye infection again."

TobraDex (dexamethasone / tobramycin) for Conjunctivitis, Bacterial "I used to have red eyes caused by allergic conjunctivitis and infection, the dr told me to use TobraDex 4 times a day for 2 weeks. My eyes was really bad, after 2 days my eyes got better. Tomorrow it’s my last day and I will come back to the doctor. I notice my sight is a little blurry when I try to see things far, things that not used to happen before. Before I used to have a sight 20/20 and I now I feel it’s lower."

TobraDex (dexamethasone / tobramycin) for Postoperative Ocular Inflammation "I was prescribed Tobradex ointment to put on my eyelids after eye surgery. I had a lot of bruising and swelling and the medication seemed to help. No adverse side effects, but if you get it in your eye, it will blurr your vision slightly for a couple hours (I think due to the greasy consistency more than anything else). My co-pay for a 7 day supply cost $50."

For Postoperative Ocular Inflammation "I was prescribed this medication 4x a day for 4 weeks after cataract surgery .. I had pain ,stinging , aching and swollen eyelids but put this down to surgery and healing .. after 4 days breathing was restricted and felt like an asthma attack ( I don’t have asthma ) surgeon said that allergy was impossible , changed the steroid to one without additives .. breathing became worse and I was given antibiotics and ventolin inhaler . Told I may have COPD .. after 3 weeks I stopped the drops ,after 2 days breathing started to recover but eyes dry and aching .. I had to take the drops again for 4 weeks , I took them again and after 7 days I could not breath again , I stopped them ,my surgeon said again it’s impossible. I had to have the second cataract operation and again used Dexamethasone drops at surgeons request ,within days my mood was very depressive , aggressive , unable to breath, broncho spasms .. demanded NSAIDs drops and all was perfect . I just don’t tolerate steroids."

TobraDex (dexamethasone / tobramycin) for Conjunctivitis, Bacterial "This medication has been doing a good job at clearing up my right ear after just a few days. Keep in mind that I also have a perforation in my ear drum as well, although it has been there even before I developed this infection. Anyhow, I was recently diagnosed with a right middle ear infection last week and was prescribed this along with Augmentin 875 MG. However, I have been taking a 500 MG Glutathione antioxidant supplement along with this medication considering the fact that this medication carries an ototoxic risk."

For Conjunctivitis, Bacterial "Been using the dexamethasone with tobramycin eye drops about 3 days. Woke up today & 1 of my eyes lower lid was swollen. After I put drops in & waited the 2 minutes as directed, my lower lid flipped! Been swollen & felt odd all day. Just did another dose & same thing happened. My Eye Dr's office is closed (weekend) & I am thinking I should discontinue. Anyone else have this problem?"

For Conjunctivitis, Bacterial "Came down with pink eye which to me was viral but I decided to see a doctor anyway because I was in pain, I saw a doctor online. He prescribed me Polymxin, which after 2 days of use, was not working. It burned and I still had all the classic symptoms of pink eye. Went to my eye doctor 4 days after the onset of pink eye symptoms and she gave me this because I had severe swelling. She told me to take every hour for the first day and it should make me much more comfortable. I’m on the second day and my eyes feel incredible! I have slight blurring and my eye lid in one eye is still droopy and swollen but not from this med. She said this is always her first line of defense when there is inflammation because of the steroid. My eye lids and forehead have been super itchy but not sure if that is a side effect of this med or just from 5 days of wet eyes. But nonetheless, I’m so much more comfortable!"

For Conjunctivitis, Bacterial "Don’t recommend this at all! I was using the eye ointment as prescribed by my doctor and developed swelling of the upper and lower eyelids. Also got blurred vision and a weakening of the upper eyelid skin and muscles. Stopped using the the ointment on day 4 and still waiting for the eye bags under my eyes to go! Really hoping it’s not permanent! Would not recommend as side effects seem to be very serious and common!"

TobraDex (dexamethasone / tobramycin) "Day one (1 drop every 4 hours, 3 doses in) and this seems like a miracle. Prior to 1st dose, pain from blinking was a 6.5/10. The entire half of my face from the infected eye was swollen. Swelling has gone down approximately 70% after 3 doses (12 hours). No noticed side effects currently."
