Aczone (dapsone) "I am a 23 yr old woman with dry-combination skin. I have slightly struggled with acne, mostly in my teen yrs. BUT once I turned 23, my acne flared up and I would constantly have 5-10 active pimples at a time. I decided to visit a dermatologist and I was prescribed Aczone 7.5% because my dermatologist said that I was suffering from hormonal breakouts. About a week after using Aczone, I started experiencing even worse breakouts, extremely oily skin, and the hyper pigmentation from healing acne lasting longer than ever (2-3 weeks). It did help cystic/nodule pimples heal faster but the oily-ness caused more whiteheads and blackheads. After using it for 5 weeks and seeing absolutely no improvement in my skin, I decided to stop. Within 1 week of stopping, my skin has is no longer oily, the hyper-pigmentation faded and I have less breakouts than I did before Aczone. Aczone did not work well with my skin, but each skin type is different, just wanted to share my experience."

Aczone (dapsone) "So I've been on Aczone for 3 full days now, and I know that's not long but I'm really impressed with this stuff! I had a sudden and embarrassing breakout on my chin/mouth area from switching to another oral birth control (instead of large cystic acne it was tiny red breakouts everywhere) and I saw an ad for this so I decided to give it a try. Immediately the next say I saw it was drying a few pimples! On day 3, id say half my acne is healing or gone. I'm hoping a week from now my acne will be mostly gone. It can be drying but not anything crazy. I use the 5% gel in the morning and at night, along with my cetaphil cleanser. I don't use lotion at night but in the morning I use philosophy clear days ahead lotion and some makeup. I'll update!"

Aczone (dapsone) "35 years old, had bad acne on my checks and couldn't get rid of it with anything......tried Aczone (morning) and Clindamycin (night) and acne has disappeared completely. It took about 6 weeks to see major results. Also, aczone didn't irritate my skin and make it peel off."

Aczone (dapsone) "I have suffered from cystic acne for almost 10 years. I've tried every topical known to man and not one, but TWO rounds of Accutane. But it still comes back. I started using Aczone once a day (at night) with a basic moisturizer and have noticed a phenomenal difference. It hasn't healed me because when I'm lazy refilling my prescription, my skin breaks out again. But at least I know it's working when I do use it. Only downside: it's expensive! Ask your derm for a coupon!"

Aczone (dapsone) "Im 19 years old and have had acne since about the 6th grade (age 11). About a month ago I went to a new dermatologist who took one look at me and said shes going to prescribe me Retin-A. I told her that I tried that and she said Aczone was the last one she could think of that could possibly help me. So far after three weeks my forehead and left cheek has cleared up (but I still have acne scars). The right cheek doesn't seem to be getting better or worse, the pimples I had went away and others came. Hoping for more results with time."

Aczone (dapsone) "I have struggled with acne since I was 11 yrs old. I'm now 32 and tired of it. Every time I go off my birth control I break out horribly but I wanted to go off of it because I get migraines. I have tried almost everything. The only thing I haven't had is Accutane. My dermatologist gave me Aczone topical as well as topical erythromycin. I have been using both daily for about three months now and this is my first month off my birth control. Well I got my period today. Typically right before I get my period I break out horribly face back chest, Not this time tho. I have 2 tiny bumps on my cheek and one on my back. I am amazed. I hope that it stays like this because honestly it's a miracle! I have never had a topical medicine work before."

Aczone (dapsone) "Growing up I has always had clear skin, and then at the age of 22 my skin FREAKED out. I had extremely bad hormonal acne, at least 14 white heads at a time that hurt so bad. I didn’t even want to leave the house. A dermatologist prescribed aczone and benzoyl peroxide face wash and iIswear that the aczone is what saved my face. My face is 100% clear now in just a few months. Just a few red marks that still need to fade are left. aczone gave me my confidence back."

Aczone (dapsone) "Hands down the BEST acne treatment I've ever tried. Been on many, tried a lot of different products. Hormonal/food triggered acne has been a part of my life since 13. Tried aczone from my dr at 28 and haven't looked back for a year. Doesn't dry out skin, I feel a breakout coming in, put it on at nighttime and breakout gone completely in 1-2 days. Give it a try! Works fabulous :)"

Aczone (dapsone) "I am a 40yr old female. I have had acne since I was 13. I noticed bumps all over my forehead for years along with a large cystic pimple a couple times a year. 6 weeks ago my dermatologist prescribed Aczone along with 2 antibiotics(1 oral 1 topical--Solodyn and Ziana). This has been the perfect trifecta of treatment! My forehead has not been this clear since I was a a kid and my skin is significantly less greasy. Highly recommend!!"

Aczone (dapsone) "My skin is extremely oily, sensitive and I've been breaking out non-stop since the age of 16 (I am now 20). Because of my sensitivity aczone has been really amazing because it is not drying as many other prescriptions are and I like that I was able to start using it twice a day every day from day one (with many other prescriptions I have to slowly add it every other day to my regimen). I have noticed fabulous improvements in my skin. I still break out on occasion but as long as I stick to this regularly my break outs clear up far quicker than before use. It should be noted that I have been using this in conjunction with Tazorac .1. I also love that it doesn't bleach clothing or anything, which I used to hate in many other products."

Aczone (dapsone) "I've had moderate acne until I was about 15 then it started breaking out severely on my cheeks since I moved to Texas with the weather and hormones started kicking in. Also I was always oily and still am sadly And going to the dermatologist to figure out how to deal with it. I'm now 17 and I never wear makeup and religiously wash my face and use a toner. I went to the dermatologist Recently and they gave me a prescription of Aczone and it cleared my face up in about 1 and a half to 2 months. My face burned, purged, and dried (don't pick!!!!!!!)but it helped. You just have to stick with it and give yourself a Pep talk that it's worth it at the end. I'm am left with a few pimples. it's better than the cystic outbreaks and clogged pores I had."

Aczone (dapsone) "I've never experienced acne, a few black heads, pre-menstrual pimple, but after 29th bday my lower jaw, sides of face broke out horribly. I scheduled appts, had hormones checked, obgyn, everything. dermatologist gave aczone & Cetaphil (Derma Control for oily(purple label) or they also have another non-oily skin wash/etc! OTC, pricey but WORTH it) 2x daily face wash and 2x daily moisturizer. Also Minocycline 1x in am, 30-60 days plus a second face cream for pm use 2 minutes after aczone but before moisturizer, Tretinoin .05% cream. This regimen has cleared those ugly and very painful pimples. I am active AA woman, Hot Pilates 7xweek plus swimming public pool 4xweek. Anyone know if I can use Ambi fade cream, aczone is not lightening scars."

Aczone (dapsone) "IT WORKS! I had just about had it with acne and then after what seemed like forever, I went to the dermatologist and she gave me Aczone. I've been using it for about a month and almost everything is gone! Finally something that works."

Aczone (dapsone) "I struggled with acne from age 12-36. I tried everything from prescription creams to otc everything. A year ago my dermatologist put me on aldactone and raaczone therapy. Within a month my acne was gone. I haven't looked back. I wash with cetaphil twice daily, use aczone at night, moisturize with cerave in the morning and exfoliate twice a week with a facial scrub. It's amazing!"

Aczone (dapsone) "I highly recommend trying this product. Discounts are available depending on your health insurance provider and Dermatologist. I first I didn't follow the directions and used sometimes once a day. Once I started using it twice a day I noticed fantastic results. This paired along with Cerve moisturizer (the night version) really did change my life."

Aczone (dapsone) "Great product. First off, Aczone will not give you immediate results. That’s for sure. But it IS worth the wait. Prior to Aczone, I had tried EVERYTHING. Over the counter, prescriptions, professionally done facials, you name it. I was given Aczone 2 & 1/2 months ago in combination with Sulfacleanse (a wash I use once a day) and my skin is almost completely clear. I also take Minocycline twice a day. It definitely doesn’t guarantee perfect skin but you WILL see a huge improvement."

Aczone (dapsone) "I'm 33 years old with bad forehead acne that started in my early/mid 20s. I've been to dermatologists for years and everything I try eventually fails and seems to actually get worse in the long run. Aczone has been awesome for me. It took about 3 weeks before it started working, but no side effects whatsoever. I'm at about 2.5 months now and my skin hasn't been this good for many years. I love it. My skin isn't 100% perfect, but this is definitely the best thing I've tried, and I've tried a lot. Right now, this is all I'm using."

Aczone (dapsone) "I had great skin until I hit 40 and had breakouts that almost looked like a rash along my jawline and forehead. I was getting scarring and comments about the "rash" on my neck. Aczone (dapsone) "Well.. I have suffered from acne for a while. For about 6 months, I have been on aczone and only break out occasionally with a tiny zit or two which I'm linking to lack of water consumption. It has done an amazing job of clearing up my skin. Would highly recommend it!"

Aczone (dapsone) "I got recommended by my derm to use this to treat my acne. it literally burnt my face! my skin feels like leather, and in the first 2 days my face started peeling extremely bad, and the burning is too much to take. I do not recommend."

Aczone (dapsone) "it pretty much ruined my skin. . ive been using epiduo for 5 months now and it worked amazing and my dermatologist told me if I used aczone in the morning my red marks would go away faster. What it did was create more red marks and made it insanely dry and red and horrible. I was on aczone for 2 months before I gave up like last week and now it burns whenever I wash my face so I have to wait a while for this stuff to drain out of my system yeah don't recommend but maybe it's because i use epiduo"

Aczone (dapsone) "I have very oil skin especially forehead, cheeks and chin area. I'm 36 and always had perfect skin...well until a year ago. Constant breakouts on all oily prone areas of skin. I will get a pimple and a dark spot to follow. So now the pimple disappears and you have this hideous dark scar. So after trying everything under the sun. I went back to my dermatologist and she put me on Aczone. Please people try this..with every acne medicine your skin may get worse before better (unfortunately) don't give up and don't stress! Continue to use the product. Wash your face with a mild cleanser free of salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, which will irritate your skin and make the drying worse. Aczone is fantastic it works! Use with Differin!"

Aczone (dapsone) "The first time i used this product, I used it with tazorac, and it cleared my skin up nicely. I have had trouble with acne on and off since I was a teen. It cleared my acne up in a few weeks but completely dried my skin out around my mouth. My lips started peeling and turning brown even lipstick didn't help. Derm recommended cutting back use to every other day. Didn't help. I stopped altogether and my lips and mouth area returned back to normal. 5-6 months later I started aczone again since my acne has gotten so bad. I made sure to stay away from my lips etc, got a great moisturizer to keep area hydrated and now I have a red rash around my lips and nose and on my lips.... guess I'm having some weird reaction. :("

Aczone (dapsone) "I've had perfect skin until I started to balance out school, work and bills. I broke out horribly in my chin and nothing I tried seemed to help. I tried Dr. Murad, Skin ID, Mary Kay, over the counter medication and NOTHING helped. I have a small face so the acne would be very noticeable all around my chin area. I went to the dermatologist and he prescribed a combination of Doryx, Aczone and Vetlin. I've been on it for about a month an a half and I love this! My face has cleared up tremendously to the point that people are noticing my skin again! I'm down to just 3 pimples on my chin/cheek right now. This product works when used PROPERLY. You should also apply a good moisturizer like Neutragena with dark spot reduction!"

Aczone (dapsone) "I had moderate hormonal breakouts and was prescribed this by my dermatologist. He raved about its effects although it was a "newer" product on the market. He admitted that he was biased because he was a spokesman for this medication (red flag - no celebrity uses proactive and no doc pushes meds unless they're getting paid for it.) used it for 3 months which he said most patients saw an 85% success rate - I was not one of those patients. If anytbibf my skin was worse while using aczone. I had more breakouts than ever before and in areas I hadn't had breakouts in. They were more red and frequent than when I started using aczone. Everyone reacts to mess differently but this was a huge waste of time and money that in the end made my acne worse"
