For Dry Eye Disease "I was prescribed Restasis along with the steroid drop by my eye doctor for severe dry eye. This medication was really rough on my eyes. It did not burn the inside of my eyes per se, but did burn around the eyelids, leaving a dark mark as if my eye is charred, swelling, redness, excessive watering, and a high mucus buildup. It still looks as if I have a black eye on my right eye. It had no benefit whatsoever, and the doctor stopped it after about 3 weeks of treatment because of the bad side effects. Just started Xiidra today. The reviews on its page are just as bad as the reviews on this page for Restasis. I'm not feeling very hopeful."

For Dry Eye Disease "I just started Restasis about a week ago. So far, it often irritates my eyes, leaving them burning and slightly red. Using Theratears after 15 minutes helps, but I often use it more than I had been before starting the Rx. I agree with most users that the bottle is horrendous. I have fairly strong hands but need both to get a drop out, and my eyes get even drier from holding the eye under the drop open until I can get it out. There’s no excuse for this. Designing a decent bottle is not rocket science!"

For Dry Eye Disease "Redness, blurred vision, pain in and around the affected eye, feeling of something in my eye. Have been on Restasis for 2 weeks but felt the side effects right away."

For Dry Eye Disease "Used Restasis, but MD didn't see remarkable difference, so recommended Cequa. Could not tolerate drug at all. Immediate pain upon putting eye drops in, extreme redness and burning. Received coupon for one month supply, so there were no out-of-pocket expenses. Never went through the insurance process to see if drug would have been covered."
