Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "Had terrible, raw, itchy eczema for 10 years on the backs of both hands. Tried everything, and nothing worked. Saw an ad for Eucrisa on TV, called my doctor, and got it quickly. It does burn when it goes on, but after several applications, it goes away. My skin is completely clear! Took only 3 days!!"

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "My doctor prescribed this to me for really bad eczema flare-ups on my face, they just told me to use it twice a day. As soon as I got in the car, I applied it, that was the worst burning sensation I have ever felt. After the burning settled down, I had red spots on my face, but my eczema somewhat cleared up. I’m not sure about how I feel about the product yet."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "Yes, Eucrisa burns. I have a small patch of eczema on both sides of my nose (near the crease of the nasal area and onto the cheek). I can put on a thin layer and usually tolerate the burning for maybe an hour, and then I wipe it off. It works better than Elidel for me."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I have had eczema on my arms for pretty much my whole life, and it didn't bother me until I had flare-ups around my eyes and my mouth. My eyes would get red and swollen, and NOTHING worked. I tried Eucrisa, and it did burn at the beginning, but after a few minutes, the burning goes away. After a week of using Eucrisa, the eczema has gone down a good amount. I then was able to stop using that and then used CeraVe to keep it down and controlled. Now, since it's an allergic reaction to fabric softener and fabric sheets, traveling starts the flare-ups again, and it comes back. But after the rash goes down, the burning stops."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I randomly started getting a red bumpy rash at my nostrils, which wrapped around my mouth and chin. Also flaked. Did not itch or burn. I was originally put on a steroid, and after I stopped, the rash came back after 5 days. I saw my PCP, and he gave me a sample 16 days ago. He told me to apply it 2x daily. I’m not so good with skin care, sooooo... I’ve used it 1x daily and missed 4 days. This stuff burns for maybe 2 min. You guys just need to push through the burn! I love this stuff, and once my sample tube is out, I will fill my Rx! Great product as far as I’m concerned. For those people who have a full facial problem, maybe your doctor needs to find you another product! I wouldn’t want to put this ointment on a full face! OUCH."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "The dermatologist provided the idea of a new drug approved recently that has had great results, as known as Eucrisa. During that time, I had a major outbreak of eczema (atopic dermatitis) on my arms, neck, and face (eyelids, around my eyes, upper lip), etc. I tried the samples, and it burned at a rate I could not handle, especially on my facial area. I have had more pleasure using steroid creams than this “non-steroid” Eucrisa. Did it calm down my major outbreak? Sure. But since then, I have had redness on and off on my face that Eucrisa cannot solve, along with a steroid cream. I was somewhat pleased initially, but long term it really doesn’t fix, just temporarily masks the issue. Just like the rest on here, the search continues for relief."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I have suffered from eczema since I moved to the desert 8 years ago. The best thing I’ve used for my eczema has been all-natural lotions, butters, creams, washes for hand, body, and face, and other all-natural body products (it’s all I use). All-natural products have been a godsend! On the rare occasion when I have a severe breakout, it can be very hard to get my eczema under control. My doctor gave me a sample of Eucrisa. It works well on my hands. If I use it on my face or lips, my skin burns so incredibly badly! I don’t know what the difference is. My doctor told me Eucrisa is supposed to be very gentle... Hmmm, then why is my skin burning so incredibly badly?"

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "This medicine is horrible. I have terrible outbursts of dry, itching skin all over my body and face. I got prescribed this, and all it did was cause horrible, excruciating pain from stinging and burning! Looks like I'm back to using steroid creams, Benadryl, and cortisone."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I just recently got eczema on my face and neck at the beginning of the summer. I tried tons and tons of steroid creams, pills, topical creams, you name it. My allergist gave me a sample of Eucrisa to try out. It burned so incredibly bad on my cracked, dry skin the first time I applied it, I had to wash it off. I stopped using it for a period of time, but currently, I have been using it for 4 days and my skin has gotten so much better. After one day of application, my skin was clear! It has no steroids and boy does it work! Apart from the burning the first couple of times around, this is a miracle product!"

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "So far, so good. I’m a 40-year-old male. I have suffered from mild to moderate facial eczema for about five years, and nothing really helped besides the occasional application of hydrocortisone. I obviously want to avoid the skin thinning and addictive side effects of steroid creams or pills, so Eucrisa gave me hope. I’ve been using it twice a day for six days, and my facial redness and bumps are greatly reduced. I can’t relate to any of the complaints of severe burning I’ve read on here. In my experience, the “burning,” or more appropriately, the tingle, feels way milder than that of Ben Gay or Icy Hot. The only drawback for me is that its Vaseline-like texture makes it challenging for me to wear even a thin layer for work because of the extreme shine. I’m hoping they make a less heavy and shiny formula for the face in the future. If you’ve tried everything else like me, Eucrisa is most definitely worth a try."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "It burns like fire!! Have to apply it around my eyes, and I almost screamed, so put a cooling gel pad on it, and after 3 (very long) minutes, the pain was gone. But I have been having rashes around my eyes for 10 years, so that skin is less than thin! So I am giving this a try... need to wait a couple of days to see if this helps..."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "My skin started drying up really bad due to the cold weather. My dermatologist gave me a sample of Eucrisa. Before even trying it, I put in my prescription and was told it was not covered and was over $400. The pharmacist advised me to try the sample I was provided because a lot of customers were complaining about it. I tried it for the first time today on my face, and it burned and stung. It is very painful. I will go back to my usual prescribed ointment."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "Tried the sample tube from my Dr. on my hands and neck, and I haven't experienced any burning sensation at all. I'd say a slight tingle, if that. Perhaps it burns on cracked skin or right after scratching. Anything will probably burn on broken skin. It is, however, sort of greasy like Vaseline, but no big deal. Time will tell if this actually works."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "Honestly, I was so nervous to apply the ointment after reading these reviews that noted extreme burning and stinging. Actually scared me enough to wait a few days after receiving the RX, but said let’s give it a go. After my first week of using this product, I’m so happy I did. I am prescribed Eucrisa for perioral dermatitis and rosacea around my nose and chin/mouth area. Don’t get me wrong, there was a slight sting but nothing close to unbearable. I can’t comment for those who have to apply this to your eyelids - I imagine that area is much more sensitive. I put a small piece of plastic wrap on my finger to avoid it from touching the skin on my finger if that helps anyone. After a week, I see vast improvements in the redness, and the stinging is totally gone at this point as well, so it’s a positive review for me. Also, this was $10 through a delivery pharmacy that my dermatologist recommended. Without that recommendation, it was in the ballpark of $700 with my insurance."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I just started this yesterday. Won't know what I truly have till the biopsy comes back. I was told to mix it with Vaseline to cut down on the burn reaction. So far, so good. I've had this annoying rash for 8 years."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I've had eczema my whole life. It is usually manageable, but over the summer, I suffered a really bad flare-up that hasn't gone away. I was prescribed steroids for around my eyes and mouth that worked wonderfully. Unfortunately, my eczema came back when I stopped using it. I was prescribed Eucrisa, and it burned like absolute lava. I powered through, and it seemed to be working okay on my body eczema. After about 10 days, I woke up with the worst eczema ever around my eyes and mouth, covering half of my face. It's been a week since I stopped using Eucrisa, and my eczema is still worse than ever on my face. For a couple of days, my face felt raw with a burning and itch I've never experienced before. I haven't changed anything. I use all hypoallergenic everything: shampoo, soap, detergent. I'm just so frustrated, and I don't think this product helped my face. It did seem to help my eczema on my arms."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I struggled with severe eczema on my eyelids, breast area, armpit region, neck, etc., starting on a random day in 8th grade. I didn’t know what was wrong with me for so long, I suffered from embarrassment and shame until I found this product. My doctor just simply prescribed me a tube, and when I use it regularly, my eczema just disappears no matter how bad I was itching previously. I know it won’t work for all people, but the burn is worth it. It hurt worse than anything the first time I used it, but now it’s not bad at all. 100% worth it, and I totally recommend it if your natural treatment just doesn’t work."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I developed what looked like perioral dermatitis around my mouth while pregnant. I tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing worked. My doctor gave me Eucrisa, and within 3 days, it was completely healed. Just a warning, though, this burned a lot. But if you hold on a few minutes, it lessens, and the results speak for themselves."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I started getting a rash on my cheeks, upper lip, and chin that looked terrible and embarrassed me enough to stay home. If I grew a full beard to try and hide it, it made the rash worse. I can't shave, nor can I grow a beard. The doctor gave me 2 RXs, one being Eucrisa. Within 2 minutes of application, my face is burning enough to make my eyes water. 10-15 minutes later, the burning goes away. Going on the 3rd day, and the rash does look 40% better, but it's not worth going through the burning sensation after the application of the medication."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Please do not put this Ecruisa on your face!!! I have dermatitis on my eyelids and was given samples of this after my insurance would not cover 2 other creams. I applied it to my eyes and chin. At first it was okay, then it was horrible. The burning was so bad I ran to the sink while wailing and washed it off immediately. My eyelid then swelled and I could barely see for the rest of the day. Please do not use this on your face!!"

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "If you're using this for a rash that you are not 100% sure is eczema, it's probably not going to work for you. It's for eczema. It's not for 'a bumpy itchy rash' or psoriasis or anything else. However, if you have eczema, this is a miracle. I get eczema on my eyelids, under eyes, cheekbones, shoulders, back, and shins. I used to be able to keep it under control with Eucerin lotion, but the last 3 years it's been bad in the winter. When I feel a spot starting to form, I use a tiny amount of the big 60g tube, and when I wake up the next morning, it's gone. It burns like fire on the face for about 10 minutes, but you just gotta power through it. Nothing else would get rid of the spots on my face or shins, so I'll gladly tolerate a little pain!"

Crisaborole topical "I’ve struggled with psoriasis since I was 16, but this year was the first time I had symptoms appearing on my face. My eyelids, and then a few weeks later, the skin around my lips became so dry, itchy, scaly, and unbelievably uncomfortable. Over 6 months, I saw a variety of doctors and tried multiple different treatments, but the symptoms would inevitably return quickly. Finally, my dermatologist gave me a sample of Eucrisa, as well as a prescription for the full-size tube. I used the sample as soon as I got to my car. My doctor had warned me about the burning sensation, but compared to some of the other treatment options I’d tried, it honestly wasn’t the worst, others actually burned more. By the time I got home, the pain had stopped, and there was already a major improvement in the flakiness on my eyelids. I’ve used it for 2 weeks now, and only get the burning sensation if I use it right after washing my face. Ultimately, though, the improvement is so worth it!"

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I had really bad eczema as a baby, but it went away for a very long time. I thought it was gone for good until I was 13 years old, and it started up again, soon spreading to my face. Having eczema on my face as a teenager can be emotionally grueling, and at this point, I was feeling hopeless. After multiple different medications, my dermatologist prescribed Eucrisa. He warned me about it burning and told me to refrigerate it, so I did, but in the beginning, I felt no burning at all. At first, Eucrisa seemed like it did not affect my eczema. It was oily, and it prevented me from putting makeup anywhere near my eczema, not that I was doing that before. It took an entire week for me to start seeing changes, which was very different from the fast-acting medications I had used before. I started feeling burning, but it was tolerable. Nothing like the mind-bending pain I read in reviews. My eczema is now almost completely gone after around 2 and a half weeks. My advice is to stick with it."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "So I went to the dermatologist today, and they gave me Eucrisa, and boy, I tell you, that burning sensation is no joke AT ALL! I always look up my meds beforehand, but I don’t know why I didn’t this time, lol. But, yeah, it only stings the affected area, but hopefully I see some results. I put ice on my face, fanning it, YOU NAME IT. But I’ll come back in 2 weeks to see the results."

Crisaborole topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I’ve had tried many different types of medications, this is by far the worst. When applied to my face or upper chest, I turn into a caged animal, it burns so bad I just want to rip my skin off. I usually prefer the burning sensation to the constant itching, but not with Eucrisa, it’s so intense I just want to dig at it more. I have had no luck on other areas either-arms, legs, or stomach-just doesn’t do the job. I can’t believe all the people who suffer from this that this is the best they can come up with, oh well, suffer on, back to square one."
