For Atopic Dermatitis "I have eczema all over my face, so I use Eucrisa over it, and all it does is make my face red after I apply it and burns so badly. It honestly feels like my face is legit on a hot stove, and I can’t move my face from it. I still have to use it, though, because my dermatologist won’t answer my calls because it’s closed currently, and they always schedule it so long from the day I schedule, and when they do choose a day, they do it on a weekday when I have school, and I can’t miss days because I need credits for high school. I thought Eucrisa was going to help, but clearly it doesn’t because the next day my eczema comes back, and I’ve been using Eucrisa for months now. It burns so badly that it makes me cry for like 15 minutes straight, and it makes my face hurt so badly I can’t focus in school, and it’s affecting my grades. Eczema hurts and makes me feel ugly, and I wish it would stop."

For Atopic Dermatitis "The worst thing ever! I would never recommend this to anyone. It made my symptoms so much worse and even spread across my face. It burned, itches, stings, and literally feels like my eyelids are on fire. Will never try this again."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I have had a painful inflammatory skin condition on my face for 8 years now that had been diagnosed as shingles, adult acne, or dermatitis herpetiform. No one was sure what it was. The condition was painful, bled frequently, was swollen, had a burning sensation, and left scars as the lesions healed. My doctor got some samples of Eucrisa and gave one to me to try. The result has been nothing short of amazing. Within 24 hrs. of the first application, the lesions have begun to heal, the swelling, redness, and pain have been greatly reduced. Previously, I had used antibiotics and every kind of ointment available to no avail. The only thing I noticed was a burning sensation when it was applied, which went away in about a half hour on the first application. It did not burn with subsequent applications. This is nothing short of a miracle."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Horrible burning! Prescribed Eucrisa for severe itching (dermatitis) around eyes. Made condition significantly worse and felt like I had flames coming off my eyelids and under eyes. Tried putting up with it for as long as I could stand it. Was actually making a bad situation worse and finally had to wash it off and apply a cold compress for half an hour to calm it down. Add the fact my insurance company was charged $1,099.99 for this stuff only makes the situation worse. Now my eyes are worse and the ointment is a greasy mess that does not go away. Who would want to be out in public with greasy eyes? Would definitely not recommend this!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "Eucrisa was the only thing that worked for my dermatitis after trying four different topical drugs and phototherapy. Yes, there was burning, but it didn't cause 'agony' and 'suffering' like others describe."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Over the past 30-60 days using Eucrisa on my face (mild eczema) and upper back (notalgia paresthetica). Itching decreased noticeably within a couple of weeks, the moderate burning subsided and disappeared after two weeks, and the scaly patch on my forehead has disappeared, but I continue to have some scaly skin at the brow patch. All positive. Now for the negative-could be coincidence, but I have noticed some welty, itchy bumps lately where I apply it to my back. But my gut is telling me there is a relationship. I wonder if the intense burning with application is from applying too much. Just a thought from somebody who has had long-term mild eczema."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Ever since I was 9, I have had very extreme eczema, and I mean REALLY bad. I was born with light brown skin, but as I grew older, my arms and neck got darker and dry. When I used steroid ointment, my cracked skin would clear up for a couple of months, but soon it would be back to square 1. I just recently have been prescribed Eucrisa by my allergy doctor. Every time I use it, my skin would burn like crazy. I don't think I'll ever use this again."

For Atopic Dermatitis "My daughter was prescribed this medication for very dry, red patches on her face. After a few days of use, her face was covered with acne, and she felt burning and rawness on her face. Her face became even more red than it was initially! Once she stopped using the ointment, it calmed down. We won’t be using this anymore. Back to the drawing board ☹️"

For Atopic Dermatitis "It does almost nothing to help my severe total body eczema. I blend it in with Vanicream moisturizer. It burns a little bit briefly on the face, but at least Eucrisa is better than nothing at all. It's mostly something to use on days when I must take a break from using steroids."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I’ve been using Eucrisa for 10 days now. It does seem to help. I put on a lotion from Avon that has lidocaine in it first, and it numbs my skin on my neck where I have eczema, and it makes it where it doesn’t hurt or burn or itch when I put the Eucrisa on. It really makes it comfortable to put Eucrisa on my eczema."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I've had eczema my whole life, and nothing has worked like Eucrisa. I get eczema really bad on and around my mouth, so my doctor gave me some sample tubes. Yes, it does burn for the first few applications or if I miss a few days of using it. The only reason it burns is because the skin is raw or broken. The more you use Eucrisa, the less it burns."

For Atopic Dermatitis "My son has eczema since he was born. He had peeling of his hands and feet at some point. Now he has skin discoloration in some areas and continuous eczema rashes in other areas. Once we get one site cleared up, he gets a flare somewhere else. He's tried two other steroid creams before I asked the doctor about this one because I wanted to get him off the steroids. We got samples, tried it as prescribed. It burned as expected the first couple of applications, but he wanted to try it out for longer to see if it would help. It dried out my son's skin to a point where he couldn't extend his arms and legs to walk normally. His skin was so dried out he couldn't move for fear that it would break his skin, and it was painful when he did move. We would put lotion on, and within five minutes, his skin had soaked it up and he was back to not being able to move again. Overall, I'm glad others are having a great response to this treatment. It unfortunately just did not work for my son."

For Atopic Dermatitis "First of all, it pretty much made me confirm I had insurance, which I thought was weird. It burned like crazy, and it actually made my condition worse. Like, it actually spread more across my face. My derm gave me a prescription for desonide, which worked in a day, literally. This isn’t really worth it in my opinion, but everyone is different."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I have suffered through bouts of eczema for years on my neck, face, arms, and legs. I've tried so many things, and the only thing that helped me was Cordran tape. I can't get that because it's $700, and my insurance doesn't cover it. There is also no online coupon, so I thought I would try Eucrisa. It burns like crazy and makes the area itch for at least 10 minutes, and I didn't find it that effective. The part about eczema that is really difficult is the itching, and no matter what I try, I still itch. I feel slight relief, but it's not worth it to pay $700 for minimal results."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Don't try this! I've been battling atopic dermatitis/eczema for 30 years, and Eucrisa is the WORST treatment I've ever tried. I put it on my face, and it burned with the most excruciatingly deep pain you can ever imagine. I can't describe how horrific it was, like a horror movie. I was screaming and crying, but there was no way to wash it off (actually, I wanted to claw my face off), and it took a while before the pain went away. I looked online and found other similar experiences. I can't believe they let this ointment on the market and that all these doctors are pushing it. Shame on you!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "Does not work. I've had eczema for 45 years. Had great success with Synlar when it was made by the original company for 20 years. Once sold, the formula changed, I guess, and it stopped working. Been using Cloderm for 3 years successfully. Dermatologist gave me samples of Eucrisa a week ago. It does not burn. My eczema itches nonstop and, a week later, is spreading. I will go back to Cloderm."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I used this around my eyes, and it burned to the point of being unbearable. My doctor told me to do a patch test prior to putting it on my eyes, and the patch test didn’t burn, but as soon as it touched my eyes, I felt the strongest stinging sensation. I have a small eczema patch on my forehead, and it helps with that, but no more than my normal steroid-free eczema cream. I am taking an oral steroid to calm the reaction on my eyes and using Eucerin Baby Eczema Relief to help soothe the dryness. Together, they have significantly improved the puffiness and skin-splitting dryness I was experiencing for many weeks. Unless you can get a free sample from your doctor to try this out, I would suggest steering clear of purchasing this product for use anywhere near the eyes."

For Atopic Dermatitis "It is expensive, and when the skin is raw, it did burn bad. But after a few days, the healing began, and after two weeks, it was gone. I still have scarring and have to use it daily, or it comes back, but it is well worth it. BTW, I tried OTC cortisone creams and other treatments, and it burned like mad when it was raw also. Anything other than water will likely make it burn."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Wonder drug. Yes, it burns, but it's worth it. I've dealt with hand and foot eczema for 10 years. Multiple dermatologists, lots of money, weird creams, acupuncture, you name it, I tried it. Tried this on a whim from a television commercial, cleared me up after a week. Going from feet that were painful to walk on, hands that bled every time I moved them, to clear skin is amazing. The cost is high, but I use their savings plan and pay $70 a month. I will continue to pay! This drug is amazing and changed my life."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Literally feels like someone is burning your skin off when you apply. Was using it only on my body and just suffering through the application because it did help slightly in the beginning. Tried it on my eyelids once (supposedly is safe for around the eyes) and woke up with red and swollen eyes for about 3 days. Was desperate again yesterday for relief on the insides of my elbows, so used it again, and now I have hives all over my body and even my face, although I didn’t apply it to my face this time. Can’t say for sure this is the cause, but it’s the only common denominator I can think of. Don’t waste your money, not worth the pain you will endure."

For Atopic Dermatitis "My 5-year-old daughter has battled mild eczema since she has been born. She has been on a mid-level steroid cream. I never realized the potential harm that can come with repeated use of a steroid cream, such as hypopigmentation and skin atrophy. When Eucrisa came into the market, it was an absolute no-brainer for us to ask to be switched to this new steroid-free option! This medication has been amazing. My daughter sees quick results, and I can feel safe knowing that there is no limit on the duration of use unlike the steroid cream where we had to stop use after 10-14 days of use! My daughter has mentioned a little bit of burning and stinging on a few occasions, but it has gone away and is an afterthought within 5 minutes! Having an effective and safe treatment available has been overwhelmingly welcomed in our home! Thank you, Pfizer!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "I got samples from my aunt for my dry patches around my nose and upper lips and hairline. First day I used it, it burned like fresh hot coffee for about 8-10 minutes. After day 3, it was clearing up my face and stopped burning. Used it twice daily, and my eczema was clear. I stopped using it to see how long before it came back, and it took about 3 days. Hopefully, my dermatologist can help find a solution that lasts longer, but otherwise, I’ll stick with it."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I have struggled with perioral dermatitis for almost 10 years. I’ve seen countless dermatologists, and no one would ever get it right. The diagnosis was always different. None of the medicine that was prescribed worked until my GP (brilliant woman) told me a name and Eucrisa. She told me that some doctors were hesitant to prescribe it because some insurance companies won’t cover it... meaning it was expensive. I told her that at this point I’d like to try it and pray my insurance would cover most of the cost. Lo and behold, it was covered, and finally, after many, many years of red, inflamed, cracked skin, it was beginning to heal! I recommend this cream to anyone who’s currently struggling with contact dermatitis and/or eczema as well. My sister contacted their pediatrician, and it has helped fade away all signs of the eczema on her arms. I will admit there’s a slight tingle/burn sensation for a few seconds, but it’s absolutely worth it."
