"I have been struggling to conceive since after my firstborn baby, who is fifteen now. I wanted a second child, and my doctor advised me to try Clomid. That was on August 17th, I started taking my Clomid for five days after three days of my menstrual period. Until now, I am not pregnant, instead, I had heavy bleeding with clots. My doctor prescribed Provera tablets, which didn't stop the heavy bleeding. Then he prescribed Primolut N, and then I eventually stopped bleeding. I am worried now, will I get pregnant, or do other women take long to conceive after taking Clomid?"

"I'm so excited to experience Clomid. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 4 years now. Just a little background history. I had my tubes tied for about 8 years. I got them untied and we conceived once but had a miscarriage. Since then I have had irregular periods. My doctor has prescribed this medicine. I'm excited I have read many stories of conceptions. "I am 25 years old, and I have been trying to conceive since I was 21. We had a couple of scares, but we were also smoking and drinking a lot. We broke up because it was not only toxic, but there was no hope in having the family we wanted, and I thought it was his fault. "Me (30) and my boyfriend (31) have been TTC for 16 months with no success. I had a laparoscopy in 2013 as my periods were so irregular and had a cyst removed. Then, after my op, I had regular periods. I then went on the pill for 3 years and met my now partner. After coming off the pill, I had an irregular cycle once again. We have been sent for every test, and they have all come back normal. It seems the problem is that I just don't ovulate every month. I took my first Clomid tablet yesterday and have my follicle scan booked for next week to see if the tablets are working, we have everything crossed. I'm trying to stay calm and relaxed, but am also so excited after reading everyone on here’s amazing results from using Clomid. But I also know everyone's journey is different."

"My husband and I have been ttc for 9 years on and off. I have had a couple of surgeries to remove blockages and endo. I just started my menses and will be trying Clomid for the first time. Our doctor suggested using a condom, then putting the sperm in a menstrual cup and inserting it after intercourse. I feel hopeful this time! Fingers crossed."

"Clomid has been giving me some bad side effects. I managed. I started my third round on the 4th of November, this being my second day of my period. Until the 8th, I’ve been intimate on the 9th, 11th, 15th, and the 16th. My period is two days late. I took two pregnancy tests, which were negative."

"I had been put on Clomid 3 years ago as we were desperately trying for baby #2. Our first was 1 at this point, spoke to the doctors as my cycles became so irregular, and they put me on 100 mg of Clomid. Tried for 3 months with no luck, then month 4 was a success. We found out December 26th, 2018, that we were expecting our 2nd, and now nearly 2 years on, I’ve been put on Clomid 50 mg again to TTC our 3rd and final baby, so I’m hoping it works again for us. Don’t give up hope, mamas. Our 1st Clomid baby will be 2 in September ♥️"

"Update: Took a PT and it was negative, kind of hurt after reading all of the success stories. Going to give it a 2nd try this upcoming cycle. I can just feel it on its way in a few days. Fingers crossed again. Doing a 2nd round of 50mg in a few days (sad face). Hopefully, this time will get me my BFP (Big Fat Positive)."

"I’m back again trying Clomid 50 mg for 5 days. This time I started on the 3rd day of my cycle (8/17). According to this app I use, I should ovulate between 22-31, with my highest day being the 23rd. But I’ve read that you can start ovulating 5 days after your last pill. I’ll start using OPKs 3 days after my last pill (8/21). And you know the rest, hopefully I’ll be back with an update of a BFP. Praying for all of us."

"Month 5 on Clomid, 25 mg days 5-10 and still no luck. I've been charting temps and using OPKs, while being monitored every month with scans and lab work. Side effects are rough after I ovulate. I cramp and get backaches to the point where I can't get out of bed. Thinking this will be my last month since I've been gaining about 8 lbs per month."

"I used Clomid to help me get pregnant with both my pregnancies for my kids who are now aged 4 and nearly 2, and the doctors have just put me on them again to TTC baby number 3, which will hopefully be our last baby. We thought we would try the natural way this time before asking the doctors to be put back on them, but after a year without any success TTC without them, we haven’t had any luck. "I did the test on the 21st day of my cycle 2 months ago. I had ovulated, my GP still prescribed Clomid 50 micrograms twice daily from day 5 of my cycle. Not only did it not help me get pregnant, I experienced some funny vision side effects. It was like a disco ball shiny light scattered all around me on a bright day. It also delayed my periods 5 to 7 days but not pregnant. I won't recommend it."

"I used clomiphene for 3 cycles but didn't ovulate or get pregnant. Feeling depressed as I have heard so much that it's a miracle medicine and so on. Maybe I will have to check up with the doctor again. Clomid doesn't work with everyone."

"I have been using the Mexican version of Clomid, Omiffin, as I live in Spain. I had a miscarriage last year, but luckily my periods came back regular after about 3 months. Since then, I have had no luck getting pregnant again, therefore, I was prescribed Clomid. I have taken 1 pill on days 3-7 of my cycle for 3 months, and today I have started my double-up month, taking 2 pills a day. We have been trying again now for almost 8 months, and as my body is like clockwork with periods, etc., I don't understand why this isn't happening for us. Could it be that I am not actually releasing my eggs each month? Is this pill helping that? TIA xx"

"Had no luck with Clomid. Been on it now for over a year and no success. We have no problems and even did an intrauterine insemination (IUI) and no success. Told doctor this isn't working. Been on a 100 mg, but they don't care. It's just been very unsuccessful."

"My Dr prescribed 50 mg in September 2010, 100 mg in October and November, and nothing happened, so I gave up and decided to enjoy my December holidays with no stress of getting pregnant. Then in February 2011, I fell pregnant, but unfortunately, when I was 6 weeks pregnant, I miscarried, and we only found out that my husband had a low sperm count, so that might have been the cause."

"I have been trying to get a baby for 5 years, wanted to try without taking anything. I kept getting signs of pregnancy, so I would take a test, and well, it would be negative. So I started to see a fertility doctor for some help. I thought I could never have kids. I am now on Clomid 50 mg (haven't taken it yet), so I'm now hoping and praying that once I start taking Clomid, I will get my beautiful baby soon."

"Usually have a 28-day cycle (once in a while 30 days). For the past couple of months, it’s been a 28-day cycle. I started 50 mg on CD2 (7/22) for 5 days. Took an OPK test 3 days after my last pill, it read I should ovulate in 2 days, but I also use an app which said on 8/3 is my highest day. So we’ll see in a few days/weeks. I’m nervous. Fingers crossed!"

"My partner and I have been trying to conceive for nearly 3 years. We both have children from previous relationships. After having lots of tests done, it came back that I wasn't ovulating every month, so I was given Clomid tablets, 50 mg. I took them on the second day of my cycle for 5 days.
