"I was very nervous to use this product at first, as my dermatologist told me i would get an "initial breakout" for 2-6 weeks while using the gel. My acne mainly surfaced around my forehead in small but painful bumps. I didn't start the gel thinking at first thinking it would clear up in a matter of weeks if I made sure to keep very good care of my skin. As the weeks continued passing my acne was still there, in fact it was progressively getting worse. Frankly nothing was working, I eventually caved and ended up using the gel. Hands down best decision I could have ever made for my skin. I, being very lucky never got an "initial breakout/ purge" My skin only started to get better. As soon as 3 days after using it I saw great improvement in my skin, its now been around 1 1/2 months since I started using it and my skin is better than it has been in so long. All bumps on my forehead cleared up, and other pesky pimples on my cheeks and chin. I definitely recommend"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) "Just started using Ziana about a month ago on face, neck and chest. My face has been doing great, but my neck and chest has been breaking out like crazy. I think this maybe because I get regular facials and extractions, but not on my neck or chest so there is a lot to purge. I am liking what I am seeing on the face so far. Still break out but it seems like it is getting better. I am going to stick with it and see where it goes, will update if anything changes."

"After reading all the reviews I'm very unsure what to do. I was prescribed treclin from my doctors. I've been using the gel for 6 days now and my face has broken out so badly. Did it sting anyone else when putting the gel on? I feel as though my face is getting worst and not better. I don't know whether to go to my doctors or to stick it out and hope for the best...."

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) "I'm a Black woman who has mild acne (closed comedones on forehead and cheekbones), oily/combo skin, prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I began using Biacna (equivalent to Ziana) regularly in November or December of 2016, once a day at night, making sure to apply at least SPF 40 every morning. It is now May of 2017, 5 months later, and my mild acne has spread all over my face - my forehead, all of my cheeks, and my chin are regularly covered in tiny bumps, and when those resolve, they are replaced with more tiny bumps. I think it is safe to say that this product is not working for me, since my acne has only gotten steadily worse over time, with no improvement. I will use this product for one more month."

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) "I have been using this for about a month and a half. It dry's my skin out and need to moisturize about 5 times a day opposed to twice. My face will get clear and then break out again. I'm still waiting on results."

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) "Veltin is great for my mild/moderate acne. I have had acne for many years trying numerous products to help. I was on Accutane and that cleared me up but about a year ago it started to come back. Eventually I went to the dermatologist and they gave me Veltin. I had amazing improvements within a day. Now a few weeks using it my skin is very smooth and now has the chance to heal from previous breakouts. It does not irritate my skin and I only had minor peeling. Others results might vary."

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) "I have suffered from cystic acne on my face and back since I was 16 (I'm now 27). I was on birthcontrol Diane for 10 years that helped with the embarassing acne but I wanted to go off of synthetic hormones. My acne came back with a vengance one the birth control was out of my system (about 5 months later) and I was at a loss- My derm recmmended a regimen of applying Ziana gel at night and Acanya in the mornings and also wanted to put me on antibiotics- I never took the Solodyn because I only like to take antibiotics in extreme cases to my kind to my gut. It took 3-4 months for the acne to clear up and the dark spots to disappear but it is 100% gone! Not a single breakout. Be patient its worht it!"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) "When i first started using Ziana, i only had acne in between my eyebrows, chin, and the nose area. My acne worsened while using it and then it got better. But after about 4 months of using it, it became ineffective. So i now have acne between my eyebrows, chin, cheeks, forehead, and the nose area. Its great at first but after a while it made my face even worse than before i used the product."

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) "I went to a dermatologist back in November, he prescribed me zaina , I start out by using it daily and it cause me a lil redness but it went away , it also made break out a lil when I first start using it , I think that was one of the side effects , but anyways its now January, and my face is looking so muchhhhh better I only have a bit of scars but besides that zaina help me out a lot , and I would recommend this to other people struggling with acne . I also took before and after pictures and I love how my skin is looking ."

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) "Worst topical medicine i have ever used. After applying once on my already almost healed pimples, it burnt my face, made it swollen and look way worse than it was before. Now have to roam around with a burnt face and big scars on my face. I would never ever recommend this to anyone."

"I am 39 years old and after many failed anti acne medications ( antibiotics , LED therapy , chemical peels ) I was depressed , disappointed and I was about to get used to the idea that I will have to live with this skin condition for ever. One of my work colleagues convinced me to give another chance to topical medication and recommended me to us Acnatac gel ( this is the generic brand of clindamycin/tretinoin in Czech Republic ).I am on my 4 th day of using it and I have been using it every night I noticed that my skin got red and I have already slowly started purging. I was about to give up but reading all the reviews convinced me to stick with it and hope that the purge period will not be too long or to painful (I have break outs now on my chin and around my mouth). I use Cerave cleanser ,La Roche Posay moisturizer and Acnatac every other night. I hope I will come back on this page in month with good news about how well my skin looks."

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) "I have been using Veltin for about two months now. It works. I use a scrub every morning, moisturizer, then at night I wash with a foaming wash better than previous acne washes I've been using--then the Veltin. Wait an hour and then my moisturizer. Great routine. I got the flu and had to stop my routine because I was too sick and tired, acne returned worse after 2 days. Back on my routine and it is getting better."

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) "I originally has mild pustular acne. I used Veltin for 5 weeks before giving up. My face became red, weeping, stinging, and covered in cystic acne while using it. I used it once a night as prescribed and would use Cetaphil lotion on my face morning and night to try to hydrate my skin. It got to the point where I did not want to go to work because of comments. Just putting water on my face made me cry. Within 2 weeks of stopping my acne is back to mild and my face is healing with 2 scars from where it was peeling and weeping."

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) "I'm 20 years old, and I had severe cystic acne after my dermatologist gave me trentinoin. It was so bad but I switched to another dermatologist because of my insurance and she gave me Aczone and Ziana with Solodyn pills. My skin is so clear and soft, it's unbelievable. I only have some dryness around my mouth, but besides that my skin is the best it's ever been and I never thought I'd ever be writing a review about something actually working."

"This product saved me! I've always had perfect skin growing up. right in the middle of senior year, my face broke out into awful acne. 2 years later at 20 years old, after trying every product out there, my dermatologist got me to try one last thing, which was Biacna! I put on a thick layer before going to bed and as soon as I woke up, my face was very red, but all the zits on my face were 80% smaller if not completely gone! My face is basically 90% cleared after 3 months of use (3-4 times a week) now all I need to worry about are all the scars! feel so good to not need to put on a pound of makeup everyday and to actually be confident again! if you suffer from acne, THIS PRODUCT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! please give it a try!!!"

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) "I used Veltin about a year or two ago, but stopped after about 8 months due to pharmacy switches and such. I remember that even then, this really helped my acne clear up and my skin to look much healthier. I’ve struggled with acne and minor breakouts over the last few years, and it’s most likely due to hormonal reasons since I’m still in my teenage years! I was able to resume using Veltin about a month or two ago, thank goodness! Now, my skin looks so healthy. I’ve also been using Aczone over the past two years, which definitely helps control my breakouts, but when I re-added Veltin, my skin has completely cleared up. I don’t think I’ve seen my skin look this healthy and clear in months!! It will dry out your skin though, but my dermatologist recommended to use a CeraVe moisturizer, which has seriously helped with preventing dryness and flakiness. I love this medication so much though; it really had worked wonders for my skin!"

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) "When my daughter started off using Veltin she had very bad acne and it seemed like she was getting an allergic reaction from a retinoid in another product. She used so many products and we were so sure this wasn’t going to work but the dermatologist recommended using Veltin and applying small amounts all over the face before going to bed. After about a week of using Veltin her acne was gone and she had blemishes left and then after about a month her face was clear. It has been 6 months and she’s still using it to prevent future acne and the results are amazing!"

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) "Ziana is a great product. I have used it for 4 yrs. After years of suffering with adult acne and trying various dermatologists and products nothing helped! A friend referred me to her dermatologist. I was prescribed Ziana and OTC cleanser Cerave. Due to the cost I almost didn't buy it. The pharmacist gave me a pep talk and I purchased it. Oh, I am glad I did! I returned to the dermatologist for a 6 week follow up. I was overjoyed with the results my face had completely cleared. The only thing we didn't do was to take pictures before. I had no redness or worsen breakouts. I still use it for maintenance. A life changer and I highly recommend it to you. Insurance didn't cover all of the cost but it was worth it. I thanked my pharmacist too."

Veltin (clindamycin / tretinoin) "33yo. I just threw this out. Tried it for a week and I have 3 huge volcanoes on my face only where I applied it. I don’t have time to try acne gels that promise to clear up skin after it’s been purged. No thank you."

"Honestly, I feel horrible and depressed. The acne on my face is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. Big giant white heads. And they hurt! It's been almost 2 months I have been using Biacna and my doctor says I should continue for another 3 months! The reviews here are encouraging to help me keep going to see the process through but, I honestly feel like taking all the mirrors in my house down. I literally break down in tears seeing my face in the mirror. Hopefully, this works and I can come back to update my review."

Ziana (clindamycin / tretinoin) "I've been using Ziana for about a year now, it seems to do a good job preventing and treating new acne vulgaris, but does nothing to prevent or eliminate the white heads. I actually haven't used it in the past week, and have seen no change in my skin. I also wash my face with a salicylic acid/glycolic acid face wash that my dermatologist sells."

"I started using Biacna brand of clindamycin/tretinoin a week ago. I started using Tactu Pump Forte (benzoyl peroxide adapalene mix) a year ago to treat severe hormonal acne. Everything about my routine worked and my skin was fairly clear at a steady rate. Now, with mandatory face coverings/masks my face has gone back to it's old ways. As much as I keep my face clean, I couldn't stop deep pimples from appearing. Almost instantly they would appear after wearing a face mask at work for over eight hours. I have an appointment to see a dermatologist but in the mean time I was prescribed Biacna. I can say this is a lot more gentle then benzoyl peroxide (BP) so my skin can handle it. My face feels soft, no pimples forming beneath the surface. I haven't had any purge, and I don't think I will. So far so good! I also got myself a nice cotton face mask that covers a lot of my face and so it doesn't rub and irritate. I clean my face masks daily and wear two throughout the day. Highly recommend Biacna."

"I am 18 years old and started to get occasional deep under the skin pimples as well as tiny bumps around my face. I have been using this stuff for about 3-1/2 months now and I am so glad I stuck with it. in the beginning I wanted to give up, it was awful, your skin is super dry and peeling and burns occasionally, but you have to wait it out! I have never been so confident with my skin and once I hit that 3 ish month mark my skin has only been getting better. don't give up, this stuff really works!!"

"I found this gel great, within a few days I saw results, my skin looked a lot calmer and pores looked better. However, it is very drying and makes my skin peel (on my chin) but moisturising often does reduce the amount of peeling and means that my face doesn’t hurt. I moisturise in the morning, midday, and about an hour after I’ve applied the gel, I only get the occasional peeling (but this could also be due to the harsh winter weather drying out my skin). I’ve noticed and my family and friends have said that they have noticed a huge improvement in my skin. It’s also evened our the texture slightly to reduce indentations in my skin caused by acne"
