Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "I noticed I had a bit of hearing loss in my left ear so I decided to try this product to help unclog my ear. I put 3 drops in and immediately felt a burning sensation in my ear, throat, and tongue getting tingly. Well, good thing I can hear out of my ear again but the bad thing is a lot of drainage and pain under my ear. Not sure I would use it again."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "My doctor recommended this, though my earwax was not causing me any problems. I should have asked her what problem we were trying to solve before following her advice. I used it as directed multiple times over a period of months, rinsing with the included bulb each time. Never got any noticeable benefit, and ears would temporarily feel extra clogged up after use. Eventually one time I continued having quite poor hearing in one ear for several days after using it, so I made an appointment to see my doctor. She said the softened earwax had plastered itself against the inside of my ear in such a way as to muffle sound. She tried to remove the wax with a tool but that made me cough, so instead she advised me to put a few drops of rubbing alcohol in my ear every other day while the problem lasted, which would help the soft, sticky earwax dry and flake out on its own. I did that and got back to normal pretty fast, within a week. Obviously I threw away the rest of the bottle!"

Ear Wax Remover (carbamide peroxide) "Doctor recommended for softening my earwax over the weekend for removal on Monday. Used as directed my ear pain increased stealing over the weekend until I couldn't wait to see doctor on Monday. Earwax still couldn't be washed out. His only solution was to see a specialist but they were booked 90 day out. Managed to get in sooner (45 days) and have the wax removed. Still couldn't hear. Had hearing test. Deminished hearing. Rescheduled follow up hearing test 60 days out. No improvement in hearing. Might be permanent. Considering my next step. Had perfect hearing before"

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "I've had tinnitus (ringing) in my left ear since an injury in the 80's. The hearing in that ear is about 10 - 20%. The hearing in my right ear 'was' close to normal but I encountered a mild loss in hearing nine days ago. I attributed this to ear wax impaction and purchased Debrox ear wax removal the following day. I applied the product as per directions. After approx. 15 minutes, I felt a mild pain in my inner ear as well as under my ear and on the right side of my throat. After 20 minutes or so, my hearing in the right ear began to dissipate. After several hours, the hearing level in my right ear was poor. I now have TINNITUS in MY RIGHT EAR and it's worse than my left. Now, we're seven days in and the tinnitus has worsened and my hearing in my right ear is VERY LOW... somewhere I would guess around 5-10% if that. I have an appointment with an otolaryngologist tomorrow morning. Please USE Caution when using this or similar products."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "Definitely agree with the negative reviews that the instructions are sub-par for this product. Based on following the directions of the folks here who rated it well (Doing a vigorous ear-wash [with a squirt bottle ear thing] after a use) caused me to be able to remove a huge piece of wax that had been building up after 3 days of using Debrox without proper flushing that caused me to lose hearing until said wash. The instructions are very unclear on the importance of a tool-assisted flush, which is a serious risk and has caused lots of people pain. However, for the product itself, I can't argue that, used as intended, it works well."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "Do your research first. Urgent care told me to use this stuff. It is nasty. Four days and still ringing in ear. Blocked like swimmers ear. I even use the soft rubber bulb with warm water and made it even worse. Now I have to go back to the doctor. It did not work. Very frustrating. Especially when you have 90% BAD REVIEWS."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "So it gets worse before it gets better. Unfortunately I produce a lot of ear wax and am constantly at the doctor's office having my ears flushed. The great news is that using Debrox for 2-4 days prior to the office visit truly softens and loosens the wax making the process at the doctor much easier for everyone. At first your ears will feel more "full" and you will feel increased pressure until the ear wax begins to loosen and dissolve. Recently I skipped the doctor and used the drops for 3 days then flushed my ears with a mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide. It brought me great relief and removed a lot of the excess ear wax. Good luck!"

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "Like every other post I should have read comment first before buying. Went to urgent care for laryngitis and respiratory infection. Urgent care dr said I had build up in my right ear and to buy debrox and to use it a few times to clear out my ear. Each time I have used it, and rinsed my ear, nothing has come out and my ear has been plugged for days. This last time my ear has been plugged and muffled for 4 days and will now have to go back to urgent care and have them fix this because the ENT dr has no current openings to get me in and are 2 weeks out. Don’t waste your time or money buying this garbage"

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "On the exact day November 14, 2020, I used this product because my doctor recommended me to use it, because of how much earwax was in my right ear. I used it and the next day, I had a terrible ringing in my ear. Two days later, I got the earwax out, but the ringing DID NOT STOP. To this day, I still have it in my right ear and I’m very worried I might have it for the rest of my life. I just wish that I could go back in time, and just get the doctors to flush out my ear normally. Don’t get this product. It’s horrible."

"I visited my primary physician for problems with my left ear and had the issue resolved by the nurse. The nurse then says I have wax build up in right ear and tried to remove it but was unsuccessful. She calls my primary physician to prescribe these horrible ear drops for ear wax softening. My physician at first hesitant to give an ok ends up agreeing. My ear that was perfectly fine (which I didn’t want checked to begin with) now has a hearing deficit and a loud ringing noise. These ear drops are the worst! DO NOT use unless you want lose your hearing!"

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "I never had a bad experience with this product as it worked very well in removing wax that the doctor couldn't remove by their flush! I put 5-10 drops in my ear 2x a day for 3 days for about 5-10 min each time. I massaged my ear till it didn't feel clogged and left it in my ear. So I flushed after the third day and the junk came out. Not all of it though. I had to use the drops again the next day and flushed with comfortably hot water and got lots of junk out! In my opinion, Debrox worked but then everybody is unique in their own way!"

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "DO not use this. My doctors office told me to try this and when I was laying down after doing one ear I started reading reviews. Exactly what others reviewers said happened. I lost all my hearing in my right ear. I had to go to my doctors the next day. I had huge piece of wax came out. The nurse had to use an electric water machine to push a lot of water into my ear to loosen it. She put some solution in first. There was no way Debrox was going to get the wax out and I followed the directions, even using a steam machine I had. I also kept solution in for 30 mins. If I had done both ears I would of had no hearing!!! Please spend the money to go see your doctor."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "My primary care doctor recommended this product. It did clear up the earwax, but I now have a constant ringing in my left ear. It disrupts my sleep, work, and daily life, and has been bothering me for about a year now (ever since I tried this stuff). I really miss the sound of silence. I told my primary care doctor about the tinnitus and they don’t seem to care; they just shrugged their shoulders and wrote a note. I’ll have to see a specialist I guess. I really, really regret using this product. I’d much rather live with earwax than tinnitus. I truly wish I could take it back. Just don’t try it, not even if your dr recommends it. Get them to unblock your ears for you. It’s not worth it."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "So son has a ridiculous amount of ear wax If you look in his ear, you can see huge balls of wax, idk how he hears anything. But I took him to our doctor and he recommended using Debrox, so I bought some. I tried it on myself first while my kids were in school, just to see how it felt, I wouldn't want to put anything in my 9yr old ear without trying it. Well, my right ear, not much happened, but my left ear. Instantly went deaf. About 10 minutes later, I hopped into the shower, and a few minutes into my shower, excruciating pain! Felt like the world's worst ear infection! I was tilting my head to the side trying to make it stop... Finally stopped after a minute or 2. I assumed it was just me, since my right ear was fine. So I asked my boy later in the day if he wanted to try it. He said yes, I put it in his ear, he was laughing, everything was fine. Then he starts balling and freaking out, saying it hurts. I had to flush his ear to make it stop. Still huge balls of wax in there.."

"Used Debrox on advice of my Dr that gave my Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination. After using I got the worse pain behind my ear. Sometimes I can't move my neck and scream out in pain. Seen ER physician when pain was constant. Now it comes and goes, but it is hardly bareable. I made the correlation after wife went to ER after 2 rounds of antibiotics and her ear was bleeding and she had fallen a couple of times. The ER DR said Debrox can dry out and crack your ear canal and damage the tissue and muscle around the ear. Anybody experience anything like this? Please advise."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "I did Debrox for two nights as told by the urgent care doctor. I went back on day three and they took the wax out. I’m still feeling fuzzy somewhat and it’s three days since used it! Has anyone else had this happen? I hope the feeling goes away. I won’t use this stuff again. I have a bad feeling now going to see ENT!!"

"I was scared to use this product after reading all the negative reviews, but I was actually able to use it successfully. First, keep the drops in for 30 minutes (5 minutes was too short)! Next, after EVERY time use, use the syringe with warm water. Don’t be afraid to wash the water in there, if you squeeze the syringe too slowly/softly it won’t do anything. I probably did about 30 rinses, and at one point I had a huge piece of earwax come out. I kept doing a few more rinses, and I too was experiencing fullness/hearing loss. But then I put the EMPTY syringe in my ear, and gently sucked out the access water (used the syringe as a suction), and my ear cleared up INSTANTLY. All that extra water came out! I did this a few times, and now my ear canal feels so much better. Hope this helps!!"

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "Similar to many other reviewers, I used Debrox exactly as directed to remove wax. I am now completely deaf in the ear that I used this product in, despite trying to flush multiple times. This product really can make things worse and do not be fooled by the bubbling sound caused by the peroxide when you first use it; that gives the impression of something working but it can actually lead to a much worse situation than you started with. If you are looking for something that actually works, this is not it unfortunately. Zero stars for you Debrox."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "Just like everyone else here, it only made things worse. I had been recommended Debrox by an urgent care doctor when I asked about if there was a way to clean my ears out at home. I used this and it made my hearing worse and gave me a nasty ear ache. It softened a little bit of ear wax that came out as drainage, but it definitely wasn't going to unclog my ears. Just go to a doctor for this, as annoying as it is using Debrox is worse."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "Had negative experiences with it years ago and again last week. Applied it as per instructions, made the situation even worse - not only did it not dislodge any wax, it gave me vertigo. Had to take Meclizine for two days until things got better. Have since resorted to peroxide with more positive results. In all fairness to the product, it could be that it works perfectly for others, but it just hasn't been my experience."

Debrox (carbamide peroxide) "After my wife put 5 drops into my right ear, I experienced the bubbling feeling and then severe pain. I tilted my head to try and get it back out but pain didn't ease for about 5 minutes. I'm not feeling pain right now and I have a piece of cotton ball in the ear to avoid leaking wax on my shirt. No pain now but I'm not going to use it again. Too painful!!!"
