"I always thought when you have a headache it's one or the other, but I saw my neurologist and he said I'm not the first one he has seen with a combination of migraines and tension headaches. And years back, there were two other medications that worked better, called Bellergal which was ergotamine/belladonna/phenobarbital, and the other one that worked the best was midrin. But now they're not made anymore, so my doctor put me on Cafergot. And thank God it works just as well."

For Migraine "After 40 years of heavy use of this drug, my mother passed away recently from aorta dissection AAA Stanford type A, having a post mortem saying that her aorta was all calcified. She used this active principle as it was the only one she said was helping her to get relief. My recommendation to you all is to have your arteries checked and use this active principle as little as possible."

For Cluster Headaches "My experience with cluster headaches (CH) has been very excruciating, to say the least. They say alcohol triggers CH. Alcohol prevents the headaches. When I stop drinking, the headaches return. Sometimes the headaches can disappear for a year or more. My father used to get them, so I believe he passed them down to me. I am 59 years old, and I feel like I've been cursed. Sumatriptan works wonders. I just pray they would stop plaguing me so I can stop worrying and live a normal life."

Caffeine / ergotamine for Migraine "Normal pain tablets make headaches worse. Cafergot works 99% of the time if taken early. Some joint pain after, but that may be due to the headache. Please keep it on the market."

Caffeine / ergotamine for Migraine "After Cafergot went off the market, my doctor switched me to Migergot. It has been the only medicine that works for me. It has given me my life back, so that I am able to function normally."

Caffeine / ergotamine "It works great. But the stuff is so expensive that I had to go through either a Canada or India pharmacy so I could then afford it. They really need to bring back an old drug called Sansert."
