Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I was prescribed Suboxone 8 mg (naloxone 2 mg) and found that the benefits were far greater than the side effects. Upon my initial use, I began to feel better about 30 minutes after administration. About 3 days later, I had no cravings for opiates or other drugs. I began to feel like a normal person again. There are a few side effects that not everybody feels, but I did for many weeks, which was nausea, vomiting, dizziness, muscle aches, and joint pain. I also experienced a lot of sweating. For the nausea and vomiting, my doctor prescribed Phenergan, which worked great except it makes you very sleepy. After about 3 months of taking the Suboxone and a few minor dosage adjustments, I feel even better and have not returned to opiate usage."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I can't say enough about this medicine. I became addicted to Vicodin and Percocet over the past year. I thought there was no hope for me. A friend of mine who was addicted to OxyContin was put on Suboxone and told me about it. I found a doctor in my area who prescribed it, and this has changed my life. I take half of an 8 mg pill 3 times a day, and I no longer crave pain pills. It is amazing. I have energy and feel great. Only had the bad side effect of nausea and headaches for the first 2 days. I highly recommend this to anyone with an opiate dependence. It will change your life!"

Buprenorphine / naloxone "I started taking this after finding out that my insurance would cover it ($100 every 3 months) vs. buprenorphine ($1300 a month). I was injured in a home invasion and have tried many treatments to get relief. I was previously on Dilaudid and morphine. I have been using Suboxone for 3 years. I would like to stop taking pain meds, but I am not sure if that is going to be possible. I have gradually reduced my dose over time in hopes of stopping altogether. When I stopped for one day, I had the worst pain I have ever had in my life. I did have small withdrawals that were manageable-for example, chills and nausea-but the pain was intense. For now, I am staying on a low dose until I can figure out what to do about my pain. It is much better than morphine, which made me high, and Dilaudid, which made me sleep all day."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "Started 8 mg of Suboxone 6 months ago. Tapered down over the last 6 months to 1 mg by cutting the Suboxone 2 mg film in half. Suboxone is amazing and does everything it says. Make sure you do it with a doctor. The withdrawal symptoms are not fun for at least a week, I am on day 5. Chills, flu-like symptoms, anxiety, insomnia, headache, nausea, loss of appetite among symptoms. First day I'm feeling better and haven't used Oxy in half a year. Take some Tylenol, some Ativan. All helped me, now I'm off it."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Buprenorphine has saved my life. I was banging heroin and then fentanyl with my last relapse. It isn't right for someone who wants to be 100% med-free, but for those who just want to feel normal/stable after years of opioid abuse - it's great. I can function normally without any problems. It is an opioid, and you will be physically dependent on it. The only negative is the Dr. Reddy's generic brand strip. I have used all the other generic and name brand tabs and strips without any issue...except that brand. It made me so sick. Nauseous, diarrhea, anxiety, tired, achy, it is HORRIBLE and should be pulled from the market. I see a class action lawsuit coming in the near future for Dr. Reddy!"

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I am on 12 mgs of Suboxone and have been for almost 3 months. While I'm so thankful to be off of painkillers, I have lost over 50 pounds. I constantly feel sick with nausea even though they have me on a nausea pill as well (I did buy some Ensures a week ago to at least get vitamins and nutrients in me). Another big problem I'm having is constant constipation, which may be causing the nausea. The doctor has put me on 3 different constipation meds, and still no luck. The doctor suggested I do an enema, and I was finally able to use the bathroom, but I don't feel like it completely emptied me out. I mean, I'm lucky to be able to go once a week, and only if I give myself an enema. I was never even constipated this much on pain pills. I have my next appointment in a few days and am contemplating asking my doctor to wean me off the Suboxone. I have researched a lot on the internet to see if anyone else experienced these problems on Subs and wasn't able to find much information. Has anyone else had these problems?"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I also recently was given almost expired Suboxone and same thing sick, nauseous feeling like I was going through withdrawal. I called Indivor and reported, but they said nothing they could do. I called my doctor and reordered me more, but had to wait 2 weeks - 2 weeks of feeling like garbage. When I went to pick them up, it was $450. For 6 years, I paid $50. I cannot continue to afford this. I honestly have not thought about pills since I started Suboxone until recently. It's disheartening to find something that works, but other companies want to come in and ruin it for all of us. After reading others' posts, I see I'm not the only one though."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I started Zubsolv about 6 weeks ago. I’ve been having nausea and vertigo ever since. I have had the stomach bug during this time, which made me think it wasn’t the medication. I only take 4 mg 2X a day. I don’t know what to do, thinking about going even lower. I really hoped this drug would have been better."

For Opioid Use Disorder "FIRST, YOU PEOPLE ARE REVIEWING THE BRAND NAME SUBOXONE ON THE GENERIC PAGE! Making it look like a good medication! The generics DESTROYED MY LIFE! The generics need to be taken off the market! The Indivior generic was fine, but Alvogen, Dr. Reddy's, and so on are HORRIBLE! When I tell you I went from having a deep sleep every night of my life to waking up 30-40 times a night according to my Fitbit IMMEDIATELY the day I started the generics! My doctor was flabbergasted when I showed him! I was exhausted all the time! All I did was sleep and nod out. I looked like I was messed up all the time! I was nauseous all the time. My ankles, feet, and wrists were swelling up. I couldn't take care of my children. It was the worst year and a half of my life. It was worse than when I was on pain relievers. I was trapped in this horrific, miserable depression funk. I couldn't be happy. I couldn't function like a normal person. I fought my insurance for a year and a half for brand. Finally won and got my life back! Brain fog gone. The generics almost ruined my marriage."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I'd taken Suboxone for 4 years and 2 months (this time around). I'll first say that this got me off fetty and all other things mind/emotion numbing. It works. I regret not knowing more myself and trusting the providers. I was started on 16 mg daily. I had massive headaches, insomnia, and nausea (from how terrible they taste). I'll say don't take your doses anytime close to bed - insomnia. Headaches were due to the mg being too high for me. I was always a functioning addict. I always maintained two jobs. That being said, I worked and went to the gym. My brain was stimulated, and I'm (only guessing as I know myself) that I was making my own endorphins. I'm on day 5 with no subs. I'll post my experience so far."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I wish to share my experience with Alvogen brand Suboxone. After being on Suboxone for a long period of time with varying degrees of success, my insurance forced me to switch to Alvogen brand Suboxone. The weekly script of subs went from $30 to $100 plus at times. Alvogen brand would be $10 a week. I figured that it would be fine, it is FDA approved. The first day I knew something was off, I took a strip and within a couple of hours I was detoxing. I had to keep increasing the dose to feel functional. After day three, I developed a rash across my entire stomach and chest. I was also constantly feeling nauseated and close to vomiting. It was a week of pure suffering for me. After researching the Alvogen brand more, I found I was not alone. Also, I found statements from people who work for clinics admitting that drug testing patients taking Alvogen brand had lower doses of buprenorphine with the same mg as name brand. Some patients also no longer tested for naloxone in their system."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have pain due to back nerve removal and two knee replacements. I was prescribed Suboxone because I went to dual mental health and drug rehab. I did not have any drug problems, I was on prescribed opiate medications due to injuries and surgery from an accident. I was diagnosed with major depression. The doctors changed me to Suboxone, the depression was successfully treated, but Suboxone has been the worst drug I have ever been on. It helped with pain for the first six months. The side effects have been horrible. I am swollen, have back and side pain, burning mouth, constipation, nausea, among others. I had two back surgeries the year the depression started, a right knee replacement three years before, and will have a left knee replacement this month. What they do not tell you is you cannot have surgery on Suboxone with naloxone because it stops pain medication from working."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Just started Buprenorphine/Naloxone sublingual film (Sandoz manufacturer) 4 mg/1 mg. My doc prescribed 1/4 4x a day. First dose was Friday morning 4.17.19. About 4 hours after, I started feeling a little sick to my stomach, so I ate a few Ritz crackers with water. Not even 15 mins later, I started throwing up and have continued every time I eat or drink too much fluid. Has anyone else experienced this? I've read that this is a possible side effect, but should I call the doc's emergency after-hours number or give it until Monday? I've only taken it 2x Friday (1/4) and had trouble falling asleep. Taken 1/4 this morning and yep, hugging the porcelain throne and feeling like my heart is beating fast, but have no energy. Any advice will be helpful. For good support, Google 'drugs.com Suboxone support group.' There is heaps of support there."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Prior to having this medication prescribed to me, I was taking methadone for chronic pain from multiple jaw surgeries with chronic pain and neck pain. I had no idea that my pain management doctor was going to prescribe this Suboxone film. This medicine has made me nauseated, and I had severe tremors. My heart was beating way too fast, and I was scared to death. I thought that prior to a doctor prescribing this Suboxone film, they would at least talk to me about this, but that was not what happened. I am extremely upset about this. I do not abuse drugs and have never used illegal drugs ever. I hope that this information is of help to a patient that also does not expect this to happen."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I was taking tramadol for about a year for chronic pain, and it was time for me to come off of the drug. So I called up Spiro Behavior Health. Do not go to the one in Chattanooga, TN, they are extremely rude. So the doctor put me on Suboxone for a week and two days. I am agitated, paranoid, nauseated. I brought it up to the doctor. 'It'll be fine. Don't worry, and don't forget you can be on this medication for as long as you like. No side effects' while I am telling him about my side effects. After I went to the desk to schedule my appointments, the lady at the desk literally rolled her eyes because I couldn't do an appointment she wanted to make. Anyway, if you like not having control of your mind, feeling sick and paranoid, this medication is for you. Get off of it as fast as you can... just say no!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "The first year of Suboxone was great. Slowly started isolation and withdrawal from responsibilities like brushing my teeth, social activities, getting up and going back to bed and isolating while watching TV. Terrible feeling in the morning. Tried altering dosages. Nothing helps."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I have been taking Zubsolv for a few months now for opioid dependency. Two main side effects I have from taking this medication are that it makes me nauseous and tastes like metal. I absolutely hate taking this medication, it makes it hard for me to want to stay clean. And the Suboxone gives me an allergic reaction. Wish there were an easier way to get clean."
