Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I was on 16 mg of Suboxone for about 3 months before I switched to Bunavail. On Suboxone, I just couldn't maintain a normal life. I had such terrible headaches, I relapsed every week. I couldn't keep switching from the medication to my addiction, and I was sick of it all. I thought I was doomed to be an addict. My doctor suggested I switch to Bunavail and started me at 8 mg a day. It was, for me, a life changer. I wasn't experiencing the terrible headaches, and I didn't keep relapsing. No cravings! Now I'm tapering off, I'm down to around a half mg a day. I don't think this was even possible for me on Suboxone."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "Why does it feel like my head is being electrocuted? I'm not sure if it's the Suboxone or not, but I've quit taking it, and the pain in my head is relieved some, but it's a pressure that comes and goes. Not a good feeling."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on Suboxone for 8 years, started on the generic recently and I felt very off (different). It may depend on how sensitive to medications you are, I am very sensitive, so I noticed a decrease in energy, shakiness, tiredness, headaches, and body pain. I don't agree with the statement that generic is stronger, it depends on the person, how long you have been on it, how much you absorb, and drug sensitivity. Everyone is different. Personally, the generic is not effective for me, my body is used to the brand name and, contrary to what you may think, they are not the same formula. It all depends on what your body needs and accepts."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "Insurance would not pay for Suboxone, so I was given Bunavail, and it sucks in comparison. Bunavail gave me headaches, and I had to take twice the amount to feel okay, but it still gave me a down and out feeling. It did, however, keep the urge to use down, but it made me wish I had never started taking these."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on Suboxone for almost a year. I was using 80 mg Oxy's for almost 6 months prior to this drug. Suboxone has saved my life, my marriage, my sanity, etc. I do have some side effects, but I am used to them. The side effects are constipation, sweating, and sometimes mild headaches. I also had trouble urinating at first. I am ready to taper the dose. I recommend this medicine to all who suffer with opiate dependence like I do. It truly helped me get in a program without being 'dope sick' first, and it helps with cravings. Good luck to all."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I had stage 4 cancer, and it’s been a long ride with treatment and pain. I was told this would make my life better and to give it a chance. Ten days later, I’m throwing up, my pain is miserable, and my head hasn’t stopped hurting. I was told this was a wonder drug. No one told me how bad it could be, and apparently, this labels you as a drug addict if you were to need pain meds for something in the future. Does anyone else have serious chronic pain that was put on this and was successful in going another route?"

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I can't say enough about this medicine. I became addicted to Vicodin and Percocet over the past year. I thought there was no hope for me. A friend of mine who was addicted to OxyContin was put on Suboxone and told me about it. I found a doctor in my area who prescribed it, and this has changed my life. I take half of an 8 mg pill 3 times a day, and I no longer crave pain pills. It is amazing. I have energy and feel great. Only had the bad side effect of nausea and headaches for the first 2 days. I highly recommend this to anyone with an opiate dependence. It will change your life!"

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on Suboxone now for exactly a year. I became addicted to pain pills after my doctor started handing them out like they were candy for my cramps. Needless to say, the withdrawals were horrible. I felt like I wanted to jump out of my skin. I didn't want to get out of bed and was just not the person I used to be. The first day I took Suboxone, I felt 100% better. I had some headaches the first couple of days of taking it, but those went away."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "Due to my insurance not paying for Suboxone strips in January 2023, I was put on Zubsolv 5.7-1.4 mg tabs, and I will say for me it works just as well. It dissolves quicker, and the taste is way better (minty taste) than the Suboxone strips, which by the way taste horrible. I'm 5 years now clean from opiates, before that, I was abusing opiates for 20 years. I have no side effects from this, unlike when I did with Suboxone, which was upset stomach and headaches."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "Started 8 mg of Suboxone 6 months ago. Tapered down over the last 6 months to 1 mg by cutting the Suboxone 2 mg film in half. Suboxone is amazing and does everything it says. Make sure you do it with a doctor. The withdrawal symptoms are not fun for at least a week, I am on day 5. Chills, flu-like symptoms, anxiety, insomnia, headache, nausea, loss of appetite among symptoms. First day I'm feeling better and haven't used Oxy in half a year. Take some Tylenol, some Ativan. All helped me, now I'm off it."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I had a miraculous recovery in 1996 from Kaposi's sarcoma when treated with Doxil. This was in the early days of Doxil (and all liposomal chemos) when it was only approved for secondary treatment options. Conventional chemo (AVB) did nothing; Doxil completely eradicated the neoplasms. It also left me with nasty throbbing pain in the arches of my feet, which never completely went away. I was hooked on so many opiates (both for the pain and the mental anxiety relief they provided) that I didn't even realize I was an addict until I ran out of Percocet one dark day. Sixteen years later, the foot pain returned. My doctor prescribed 2mg Suboxone, and I have my life back. Unorthodox, but legal and no longer a junkie. No 'highs,' no pain, and gratitude."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I was told my dosing of Bunavail is equivalent to taking a whole 8 mg Suboxone. I left the office still not feeling well. I was told it is effective within 30 minutes, it took 50 minutes to be able to stomach food, and my headache lightened up a little. About two hours later, I all of a sudden felt withdrawal again. I thought to myself, why is this happening? Why am I back to feeling worse? I couldn't help but question what was happening, I did some research. They're lying when they tell you it's equivalent to Suboxone. They straight up state they give you less buprenorphine so that there's less chance of buprenorphine on the street or less chance of being abused. Doesn't matter how it's taken. They try tricking you."

Buprenorphine / naloxone "I switched from 2 mg films (tried cutting 8 mg into 1/4s). I'm highly allergic to aspartame, and it took us months to figure out why I was having ulcers/swelling. Now I take Zubsolv 1.4 twice a day for pain. The only bad thing about this drug is that I get 'wired.' But if I take it at the same time each day, not only is my pain rated about a 2, I also avoid the headache and wired feeling. I do wish I could cut it in 1/4ths sometimes because I think I could take even less than I take and be fine. Oh, well. It's still an awesome alternative to pills!"

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I'd taken Suboxone for 4 years and 2 months (this time around). I'll first say that this got me off fetty and all other things mind/emotion numbing. It works. I regret not knowing more myself and trusting the providers. I was started on 16 mg daily. I had massive headaches, insomnia, and nausea (from how terrible they taste). I'll say don't take your doses anytime close to bed - insomnia. Headaches were due to the mg being too high for me. I was always a functioning addict. I always maintained two jobs. That being said, I worked and went to the gym. My brain was stimulated, and I'm (only guessing as I know myself) that I was making my own endorphins. I'm on day 5 with no subs. I'll post my experience so far."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I've been on two 8 mg Suboxone strips a day for 5 months, and two days ago when I got to the drug store, they gave me the generic strips for the first time, and I totally agree with a comment I read on here. The generic were a lot stronger. It hit me so hard I actually had a little bit of a panic attack the past two days and got a horrible headache! They are so strong I think I'm just going to take half my normal dose. And yes, they are way more bitter. I actually gagged a few times."
