For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Was prescribed this after a positive ID of H. pylori from endoscopy biopsy. 10 days / 12 pills a day. Not gonna lie, it was rough. Side effects included dizziness, upset stomach, nausea for me. Within 10 mins of ingestion, the effects could be felt. I made sure to eat a full meal to help lessen the effects, even at bedtime. Sometimes no effects, other times strong effects. But got through the 10 days. After taking it, still had residual side effects for another 2 days on/off. Then finally, on day 3, returned to normal. Need to do the re-test in 1 mo, so not sure if it worked to kill the bacteria for good. I won't lie, I almost stopped taking it in the middle of treatment but kept telling myself this has to be done and I cannot stop!"

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "In the middle of last month (February), I felt a really bad pain in my belly and was frequently burping. I had nausea, I vomited acid and all. So I was H. pylori positive. My doctor recommended taking Pylera. I felt the war inside my stomach (as Pylera vs H. pylori). On day 4 of treatment, I started feeling the dizziness and awful burning stomach pain accompanied with nausea, feeling sleepy all the time. But please don't quit! It’s worth the fight. Now it’s day 3 after finishing the treatment, I still feel nausea from time to time, but I think it will go away!"

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I started taking Pylera for my H. pylori infection, and it’s been a tough experience. As someone with IBS and a sensitive vagus nerve, I was extra sensitive to the side effects. In the beginning, I felt extreme anxiety, fatigue, and strong stomach pain. The dizziness and constant worry were overwhelming at times, especially with university commitments. I'd get panic attacks and wouldn't know how to react. On the 5th day, I noticed improvements. The stomach pain and anxiety became less frequent, though I still experience occasional discomfort. I’ve managed the symptoms by staying hydrated, eating soothing foods like oats and ginger tea, and following a dosing schedule. Despite the overwhelming number of doses, I’m pushing through and nearing the end of my treatment. Pylera is powerful, but it’s definitely intense, especially for those with sensitive stomachs or anxiety issues. Be prepared for the journey. I hope it was worth it."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I’ve been on Pylera for 10 days. Tonight, I take my last 3 pills. Yes, it’s been so awful. I’m tired, the headaches are awful, and the nausea is horrible. I’ve dealt with H. pylori for the last 14 years. Literally. I’ve taken multiple doses of the PrevPac, but it keeps coming back. I get severe stomach cramps, constant vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, and so on with H. pylori. It’s like having an ongoing flu. Worst of all has been the lightheadedness and being dizzy. I hope like anything that after this it gets rid of the H. pylori. I can deal with 10 days of this if it eliminates the H. pylori. It’s tough, but don’t give up. It’s worth it in the end. Yes, I’ve been irritable because the headaches have been so severe. Hopefully, this works."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I wish that I did not take this horrible drug (Pylera). I recently learned that taking raw turmeric would kill the bacteria. During the treatment, I thought I was going to die. I absolutely had no energy. I was dizzy, nauseated, had no appetite. I could not take care of my 3 kids. I could not work. I was in bed and counted down the days to finish the treatment. I was not able to finish the last dosage. Six weeks later, I went in for a breath test and, sure enough, the bacteria was eradicated, but I am left with horrible symptoms. I believe this drug has caused my body to be so weak that my chronic pain has aggravated, and my sensitive stomach has gotten worse. My stomach demands foods every 2-3 hours. I have gained so much weight."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Today is my 10th and final day of taking Pylera (thank goodness). It is very powerful stuff and starts killing bacteria immediately! Unfortunately, the good ones too. The first 3 days or so, I had a lot of diarrhea, dizziness, numbness in my extremities, fatigue, and NO appetite. I was only able to eat fruit smoothies, dairy-free yogurt, and broth soups. As a result, I lost almost 15 lb of weight, and not the good kind. I had to call out of work due to my symptoms and lack of energy. Just be cautious if you take this antibiotic and get lots of rest."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Horrible experience! First half of treatment was manageable but not pleasant. Day 8 was by far the hardest, with extreme nausea, dizziness, heart flutters, bloat, and the usual diarrhea. For day 9, I battled with the thought of taking the pills for an hour. I felt like I was playing Russian roulette. Sitting here waiting for the agony. Day 10 can't get here soon enough! However, I'm thinking anyone who has undergone chemotherapy must think I'm such a wimp!"

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Right now I'm on my 7th day of taking this horrible drug. I have never felt so awful as I do with the side effects that I got from Pylera. I had a fever. I had pain in my neck, hands, legs, butt, head, back, liver, and I vomited. Today, I woke up feeling as if I was in Antarctica. I also felt very dizzy along with some nausea. I couldn't get out of bed because my legs were refusing to stand. I'm also seeing very blurry visions. I don't feel like my normal self since I'm always active. I kept crying all the time from pain. I hope I never get to have this medicine again. By the way, this is my second time taking Pylera since I took it in 2016. Please pray for me."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I am on day 6 of the treatment, and I have never felt so awful in my entire life. I am very nauseous all the time, my mouth is dry, I have no appetite, but I force myself to eat to combat this feeling. Urine is a very dark amber color, warm sensation in my knees (like standing in front of a heater), tired all the time, could barely get out of bed after sleeping over 10 hours. I am ready to quit. I feel like H. pylori is better than having to deal with the side effects. I am dizzy, can't focus, and when I walk, I feel very wobbly - it was very hard to drive to work, but I have no other option."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "It's three days after finishing the tenth day of taking Pylera. The first four days of taking the medication, I felt no side effects. On days five through ten, I was nauseous, dizzy, and had a headache, especially right after taking my daily doses. I took the medicine with a meal three times a day and with a light snack before bed. Stools also turned a dark greenish color and were often irregular throughout the day, bordering on diarrhea. I also had a feeling of uneasiness, like a panic attack, right after taking the medicine on three occasions. I'll have to check with my doctor to confirm if the H. pylori has been eradicated and also wait a few weeks to see if my ulcers heal (which I've read can take from a few weeks to a few months)."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "The med Pylera is very strong! It’s been a nightmare. Today is my 6th day, and I can’t wait to be done with it. The first 4 days were the worst since I had side effects like nausea, depression, dizziness, it was bad. I wanted to cry. I didn’t know you are not supposed to eat dairy products with it, so I ate yogurt and took my pill, and it was a nightmare that night and the following day. Then I was told I have to stop the dairy and eat a good meal and lots of water while taking it. I’m on my 6th day, I’m doing better, and I do feel better. Praying that this will work and I will feel better. Only 4 more days to go. Good luck, guys! Remember, no dairy, big meal before pills, and lots of water."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I can honestly say I was scared to start my regimen of Pylera and omeprazole since I’m very sensitive to medication. The only side effects I had were dark stool, metallic taste, and dizziness. I started out every morning taking ginger capsules for the dizziness and probiotics for my gut. I also ate before each dose of Pylera and drank plenty of water. It was a little intimidating to see the box of antibiotics before I started, but I did it!"

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Discovered I had H. pylori on an endoscopy and had really no side effects except for a sore throat, which I thought was unrelated. Started Pylera and was fine with few to no symptoms until days 5-8. I experienced spasms in my stomach and intestines, had bowel movements after every meal, and then felt weak, dizzy, and foggy. Next came extreme soreness, bloatedness, and gray teeth, so I called the doctor, and she said to stop. I only made it 8 days or 31 doses. I’m worse now than what I started with. Praying it worked."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Had an endoscopy a few weeks ago for the main purpose of dilating the esophagus. I received a call a week later telling me about the H. pylori, so I began the regimen 7 days ago. Today has been the worst of the 7 days, I am very dizzy and nauseous. I am never hungry, so it's been difficult to force-feed just to get the pills down. I have headaches and a metallic taste in my mouth. The two worse times are lunch and dinner. I'm only 107 lbs, so may just cut back a pill on my own, pray that helps. I have neck pain and headaches, but that could be due to a nerve block on the neck done 8 days ago. Will repost after the breathing test. I was told to stay away from Motrin, which helps with my neck pain, that's another aggravation. No bowel issues."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Worst experience taking Pylera. I'm always sick, dizzy, nauseated, and stomach cramping. Day 5, I'm having dark urine. I force myself to eat and take the meds. I can only pray this works. My 1st set of medication didn't work for 10 days, so now I'm on Pylera. I want to have my normal life back. This is so, so painful. I'm missing work and spending quality time with my 7-year-old because I'm always feeling so sick. I wish you all the best of luck with this."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Day 3, and these are the symptoms I've experienced: dizziness, anxiety attacks, numbness in toes and fingers, joint pain, nasal congestion, metallic taste in mouth, funny stuffed ear sensation, paresthesia all over, dark stool, low blood sugar if I don't eat every 3 hours, loss of appetite, nausea, brain fog, eye pain, blurred vision, muscle weakness, back pain, malaise, funny feeling in the pit of my stomach, gas, belching, off balance, jaw pain, speech difficulty, irritation, agitation... I am praying that these symptoms will stop today. My doctor told me to tough it out. There must be a better treatment for H. pylori."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I’ve had stomach pains off and on for a few years. Just recently, I went to a new gastro, which ran some tests that included blood work and a stool sample along with an abdominal ultrasound. Everything came back fine except I tested positive for H. pylori. I was prescribed a 10-day Pylera course along with omeprazole. Besides having dark stool, it was going smoothly for the first couple of days, but on day 6 is when all hell started breaking loose. I began having sharp abdominal pains, dizziness, nausea, and I was very tired. The only thing that helped was eating, as soon as I ate, my pains and symptoms went away temporarily. Two and a half more days to go, and I’m done. Hopefully, I won’t have to go through this again."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I must be one of the lucky ones. I had few side effects. Loose black stool and slight dizziness, a little disoriented and a bit fatigued - trouble focusing. I followed the advice here: kept my stomach full, avoided calcium two hours before and two after (so there is a short window a couple of times a day that got named 'puddin' time'). Overall, I am healthy for my 67 years, so maybe that helps. I just finished over the weekend, so I can't comment on its effectiveness."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Finished my 10-day treatment a couple of days ago. Before starting with Pylera, I read all these reviews to know what to expect from side effects. Mine were dark stools, dark urine, upset stomach/intestine, bloated for 1-2 days, headache, dizziness, weakness. No diarrhea or vomiting. I always had full healthy meals and some snacks before bedtime, avoided milk and similar, as well as spicy food, juice, etc. I still feel somewhat weak, but nothing compared to during the treatment. Let's see what the outcome of the stool exam is. Good luck, all."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "This is my third time that I have had the H. pylori bacteria and my first time taking Pylera. Well, personally, it has not been a fun ride, and the side effects have not been positive for me. I've been having terrible headaches, dizziness, feeling like I'm going to vomit, and a horrible taste in my mouth even with water. The positive side is I'm not hungry like I used to, so I force myself to eat something in order to take this medication. I have already missed a day from work because I was not able to keep myself focused, and the headaches are killing me. Staying positive."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I was diagnosed with H. pylori approx 6 years ago, and it took care of it. It recently came back. It made me very sick, my stomach was in pain day and night. Doc prescribed Pylera again. The first 3 days were hard. Dizzy, stomach pain, anxiety, can't think clearly, extreme fatigue. I took probiotics and always have, I learned this years ago with stomach problems. I am now on day 6, things are getting better and better. Stay strong, this is a nasty bacteria. I will let you know the end result after day 10. I'm not going to lie, it has been hard, might want to consider taking a couple of days off or start on a weekend."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Read all the reviews here and started to think whether I will take it or not since I'm a very anxious person. I decided to take it since it's the only way to kill this strong bacteria that can cause stomach cancer! I'm on day 6 now, my only side effects are feeling so tired, dizzy all day, and dark stool. Advice for everyone: drink a lot of water and eat proper food without gluten, eat soups, chicken, lentils, avocado, and bananas, as well as eat oats (gluten-free) in the morning before you take your first pills, it will make you full and relaxed for a while. 4 days to go! Just feeling anxious all the time, hope this will kill this bacteria. I will come back here to update everyone if it's gone."
