For Pneumonia "I had been fighting a horrible respiratory infection and couldn't go to work or college. After about two weeks, I had to go to the doctor, where they told me I had pneumonia. Having had it before, I expected some antibiotics that you take for over a week and was very skeptical when I got these, considering there wasn't even a week. On day one of taking it, I had some diarrhea and a headache, but when I woke up the next morning, I didn't have those symptoms again. Also, that morning my symptoms from pneumonia had improved dramatically. By day four, the infection was almost all the way gone, besides an occasional cough. I am very glad I tried this drug, it helped me a lot!"

For Sinusitis "I had chronic sinusitis and had balloon sinuplasty surgery to correct the problem. I had post-nasal drip which led to bronchitis, which triggered asthma attacks. I could hardly breathe until I took the azithromycin. Within a couple of hours, my airways were opening up, and I was able to breathe again. On my second day now, and things just keep getting better. This medicine is taking out whatever bacteria is in my lungs. It was a real lifesaver for me."

Azithromycin for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "I have been using Zithromax for the past 6 years to fight off my upper respiratory tract infections. I have tried almost everything else in the military medical inventory to win against the URIs I get yearly (every September/October time frame) but Zithromax wins hands down every time. It does not matter during which stage of the URI you begin to take the medicine. The first or second night you will start to fight the infection hardcore and you might notice a fever develop as your body fights against the bacteria. After that, it's smooth sailing, so you feel better by the 3rd day and completely cured by the 5th day. It is definitely a wonder drug and worth the extra money."

Azithromycin for Sinusitis "I have had chronic sinusitis for the better part of 10 years now off and on. It really gets bad as spring changes over to summer as well as summer over to fall. I have taken several different antibiotics over the years and the sinusitis keeps coming back stronger the next year. So I just started the 7-day Z-Pak yesterday for the first time and just took the second day's dosage. Much like most of the other reviews on this site, I am experiencing some minor diarrhea as well as flatulence. Which, in my opinion, can be a deadly combination for a new pair of white boxer briefs! I have not noticed any other side effects as of yet, but again I am only on the second day. I will tell you that I am feeling much livelier right now and gained motivation."

For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "Had bad upper respiratory infection, coughing and pain, and was prescribed the 250 pack. By day two, I was 90 percent better and no side effects. Definitely a great medicine for upper respiratory infection!"

For Bronchitis "I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis at the age of 32. When I catch a cold and it won't clear up, it turns into bronchitis about 90% of the time. I am now 57 and take the Z pack when I have flare-ups, never have I had a relapse. Usually, by the second dose, I am on the mend. The most amazing drug ever. Thank you."

For Pneumonia "I had a 3-week sinus infection and flu before developing atypical pneumonia. I was prescribed azithromycin 500 mg on the first day and 250 mg for the next 4 days. I was also prescribed cough syrup that had codeine in it and an inhaler. It's the last day of the antibiotics, and I'm feeling a lot better. The heaviness in my chest is still there, and my shortness of breath is still hanging around, but I can finally breathe without coughing. My doctor wants to see me again in a few days if the shortness of breath doesn't get significantly better. I also have very minor asthma, though, so I'm thinking that's just what's gotten worse. I definitely recommend azithromycin for pneumonia!"

Azithromycin for Sinusitis "I've used Zithromax 6-Packs for years to treat chronic sinus infections. They always work and have virtually no side effects for me. I have noticed that I need to take the treatment twice for a persistent sinus infection. Usually, one treatment does it. Azithromycin is the ONLY antibiotic that does NOT give me terrible side effects such as stomach aches, cramps, headaches, dizziness, 'brain fog'."

For Sinusitis "This is my first time taking a 6-pill pack. I have used regular azithromycin for sinus infections before with great results. This infection knocked me out. After being sick for a week, I needed help. I started hallucinating because I couldn't breathe or sleep. So I gave in and went to the ER. I cleared up right after the first dose. By dose 3, I was breathing without wheezing. I'm going on day 4 and I can finally sleep. Ahhh, sleep is great. I did get dizzy, and there was a nasty taste in my mouth, and I did have a few loose stools, but all in all, I would rather put up with those small side effects and be able to sleep."

Azithromycin for Bacterial Infection "I took it for strep throat and didn’t have any side effects. My throat got worse on the second day but then got better. (Even when it looked worse, it didn’t hurt as bad as it did before.) My doctor sold it for $1.50. He doesn’t take insurance and gives his patients the cost he pays. (Yes, those types of practices exist and are sometimes cheaper than what you pay with insurance, and they actually care about their patients.)"

For Bronchitis "Z-Pack is the only antibiotic that will kill off bronchitis for me. I am on the 3rd day of taking it, and my constant, deep coughing has subsided. Today actually is the first day I have felt better in 2 weeks. Now when I cough, you can tell the congestion is breaking up, and I am not coughing deep at all. By the end of the course, I am sure I will feel 100%. My doctor gave me Levaquin originally, it did absolutely nothing. Stick with Z-Pack if you want to feel better."

Azithromycin for Sinusitis "Was told by a doctor who specialized in respiratory infections, because his main patients were miners, that I would suffer with chronic sinus infections the rest of my life and that a Z-Pak would work, but to really wipe it out, I should use Ceftin. So if Z-Pak does not work for anyone, try the Ceftin. I get Z-Pak normally because I can tolerate the azithromycin. A little stomach upset on the day after all meds are taken (6th day), but other than that, good results... usually takes 48 hours for me to feel better since I am older and have a weakened immune system, but on that third day, much, much better."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was absolutely terrified to take this medicine after reading the reviews, and to anyone that is afraid, TAKE THESE REVIEWS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. I was prescribed two 500 mg Azithromycin, and I took them after a big breakfast. Called out of work and took them around 12ish. I ate pancakes, eggs, and bacon, and yogurt. I’ve also been eating yogurt for the past few days. Probiotics apparently help when taking antibiotics. Now it’s 3 hours later. No symptoms. No headache, no nausea, NOTHING. I’m just peeing a lot because I drank lots of water. Do not be afraid, it affects everyone differently. ❤️"

Azithromycin for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "I haven't taken an antibiotic for several years because I haven't had a bacterial infection. Over a month ago, I came down with a virus, but in retrospect, it soon evolved into a secondary sinus infection. I respect the avoidance of antibiotics unless symptoms clearly point to bacterial infections, and I was not running a fever, and what my sinus produced did not look foul enough. However, when this didn't abate after close to 5 weeks, even my internist agreed it might be a rare low-grade bacterial infection and gave the green light to try an antibiotic. I started it the day before yesterday, and by last night, it was the first time in 4 1/2 weeks I got relief from the non-stop post-nasal glob driving me crazy. It couldn't have been more dramatic."

Azithromycin for Bronchitis "I had been having a mild sporadic cough for a week and a half before I started having the 'under the weather' cold feeling. It started in my chest and was accompanied by body aches, a sore throat, and a headache from a dry cough. After two days of dry cough and developing laryngitis from coughing so much, it moved up into my nasal area, where I started finally experiencing mucus. By the third day, I was feeling like crap and had no real appetite. So, I went to the local clinic. I was diagnosed with a cold, bronchitis, and laryngitis. I was prescribed a 5-day antibiotic treatment of 250 mg. The first day, I had nausea, diarrhea, and a racing heartbeat for a couple of hours. I started feeling better after 2 days, kept taking the antibiotic, the side effects went away, and so did the cold. Fast."

For Chlamydia Infection "To be honest, I was terrified to take azithromycin again as it made me nauseous and on the verge of vomiting last time. But this time I was prescribed the four 250mg pills (1000mg) at once. I ate two grilled cheese sandwiches about an hour before I took them and just kind of waited to see how it’d affect me this time. And after an hour, I felt completely fine. Nothing. Nada. Zip. About two hours later, I was just really hungry, and then I went to bed. It affects everyone differently, and I’m glad this time there were no problems. It truly is a nightmare when you feel it is making you feel so sick. Just relax, eat some crackers, bread, and sip on some water. You’ll finally tackle this once and for all. And always remember safe sex from now on ❤️"

Azithromycin for Sinusitis "Had a terrible sinus infection. Got on a Z-pack. It takes until day 3 before you really start feeling like it's working. The pack continues to work 10 days after you finish it. I had no tummy problems like I have read on other postings, but I do make sure to eat yogurt every day when I am on any type of antibiotic. The probiotics in yogurt can keep you from getting loose stools. The one thing that I did notice this time was some dizziness. Never before had that with taking a Z-pack. It was not severe dizziness, but enough to make me wonder."

For Bronchitis "It definitely works fast on bacterial infections. I've used this medicine twice. In my most recent event, I was sick for close to three months with a gurgly, wet, and sometimes dry, wheezy cough with fatigue but no fever. The doctor called it bronchitis when I first got sick, and we tried a 10-day amoxicillin regimen with no improvement. Over the 12 weeks, the cough mutated into three different variations, including a sinus infection. I finally went back to the doctor. After starting the 5-day regimen, I noticed an improvement within the first 12 hours. In both cases, I was nearly 100% healthy by the 3rd day. The antibiotic is very stressful to your body. I experienced extreme fatigue and muscle soreness during the regimen, but it was worth it."

Azithromycin for Bronchitis "I had the most horrible case of a bronchial infection. I was sick for almost a week. I went to the doctor, and I was prescribed a 250mg Z-pack. I began to feel better on the second day, which is where I am now. I am beginning to cough up some phlegm that was making my chest feel so very tight. So far, I am not experiencing any side effects. I do take it during a midday snack. I have rated it a 10 so far based on my personal experience. I just hope it clears this completely up."

For Bronchitis "Had a horrible chest cold for over a month that turned into bronchitis. Suffered through several doctor visits before, after about 2 weeks, being put on Z-Pak. I think this is the most wonderful antibiotic I've ever been on. By day 2, my energy is returning, and today is day 4, and I've done more around the house than I have in over a month. No upset stomach or any side effects."

Azithromycin for Sinusitis "I personally believe the Z-Pak should be the #1 drug prescribed on the market if you need to maintain your health fast & be yourself again. I seem to be prone to strep throat, severe sinusitis & respiratory infections in the fall & winter. A couple of years ago I was 'due to have surgery in 6 days' and was told 'if I was sick I would have to postpone it'. Well after waiting a month for this surgery, planning a home & dog sitter & time off from work 'working it in with everyone else's schedules, to me it was imperative I be well enough 4 all to go as planned'. '5-day Z-Pak was prescribed'. It is a no-nonsense drug and I cannot think of a single side effect. I was well enough for surgery to go on as planned."

For Sinusitis "I have had a severe sinus infection, ear infection, and tooth infection for a little over a month. I've been to the doctor quite a few times and was prescribed penicillin the first time and amoxicillin-clavulanate the second. I thought it was clearing up, but within a week it was back. So, back over to the doctor and was prescribed a Z-pack. After the first dose, I felt so much better! I'm hoping this will clear all of the infection."

For Bronchitis "I had a sinus and bronchitis infection, got the 5-day azithromycin treatment pack. Also given 5 days of steroids. Feeling better after the second full day of treatment, so amazing how quickly it worked. I did sleep 12 hours the first day of treatment, which helped. I had been coughing up nasty stuff for a week. Side effects aren't bad, just follow Dr. orders. Eat with the Z pack pill, drink lots of water, 6 bottles a day, and get tons of rest if you can. If you get a headache, take what you normally take to get rid of it. All in all, the Z pack works for what it's meant for. I'm glad it works for me. Just eat, drink lots of water, and rest if you can."
