"I've been back on Nuvigil since the end of 2013. I had taken it in 2010, but had to stop due to cost. The results have been wonderful. No more falling asleep in meetings or while sitting and talking to people. I can even watch entire movies now without dozing off! The only downside, like others have mentioned, is that it wears off in the evening. I usually take it around 7 a.m., but by 9:00 p.m., I'm dozing again, which isn't really that bad. The cost is annoying too. I have great insurance, but it is still $75 a month."

"Started Armodafinil 250mg some days ago for Narcolepsy Type 1 (Narcolepsy with cataplexy) and it has been going amazing. I am awake and alert for the full day, it decreased my anxiety as well. The only side effect is headaches that come and go in the evening. They are not that bad, just hurt in the temple of my head. Ibuprofen helps and the more days go by, the less bad they are so it's worth noting that it may be a side effect until you get used to it."

"I was just diagnosed with narcolepsy last week, my doctor gave me Nuvigil samples of both 150 mg and 250 mg. The first three days, I just got progressively sleepier. I was head bobbing and microsleeping. He asked me to take the 250. It didn't kick in for over an hour, and when it did, I fell asleep standing up at work and caused myself so much embarrassment that I had two subsequent cataplexy attacks moments later. I was like a sleeping pill."

"I am diagnosed with narcolepsy, and I have also had problems with focusing and depression episodes since I was young. This medication worked perfectly for me. I don't have my severe depression, I am able to focus and plan for my day, and most importantly, I am awake. The only thing is, sometimes it can give me headaches."
