"I don't recall the name of the initial generic brand I was on, but they were orange and circular 20 mg. I took one each morning for the last 6 months, and they were amazing. Kept me awake and focused. This month, my pharmacy switched to TEVA generic pills, peach-colored and oval-shaped 20 mg. Absolutely horrible. I'm tired all the time, I have no focus, and I sweat profusely from my armpits and feet even though my basement office is around 65°F. I called around, and another pharmacy has Sandoz (NDC#00185-0853-01). I'll get my prescription changed over to them and try that generic brand instead."

"It’s been one of the most effective medications I’ve taken to treat my fibromyalgia and MS fatigue and the ADD I developed as a result of my initial MS attack. I never would’ve been able to settle my parents’ estates or finish raising my children without it. I’ve evaluated it in comparison to similar meds, and there really isn’t a comparison in effectiveness. All the other vitamins, protocols, infusions, stimulants left me too tired to brush my teeth."

"My August 2021 refill of 30 mg instant release generic Adderall from Aurobindo is absolutely garbage. I take a fairly high dosage for my chronic fatigue and ADHD symptoms, which normally greatly diminish my symptoms, however, whatever I was given this time feels like I would be better off taking nothing and have the same effect. If I could safely test this theory, I guarantee that if I took twice my normal dose, I still wouldn’t have any noticeable relief from my symptoms. There is clearly something very wrong with this formulation, which has caused me to waste a month essentially bedridden due to my chronic fatigue and brain fog caused by Lyme disease (as well as narcoleptic symptoms), as Adderall was the only thing that would be able to get me out of bed in the past!!!"

"Taken for ADHD and chronic fatigue with no known cause that started 2-3 years ago. Adderall (generic Teva) 20 mg IR two times daily allows me to function and hold a job, get up, and live my life. Without it, I literally sleep the entire day-like eyes shut in bed, waking only every few hours and not able to leave bed and then passing out again. So when I say Adderall has given me a life, I mean it. I personally don't experience any side effects. I've wondered before if generics work as well as the brand, but honestly, they serve their purpose for me at a much lower price."

"Very comparable to caffeine, but stays in your system a bit longer. Effect is smoother, and no crash. I only use 5 mg if I don't sleep enough but still need to be 100% that day. Works well for focus and energy if used infrequently."

"Wow, here I thought I was the only one having problems with amphetamine/dextroamphetamine generic. I've been telling my family, and I finally asked the pharmacist at CVS, and she said, truthfully, that I was not the only one with these issues. So then I started doing some research because this morning I took a 30 mg in Saint Louis, and I swear to you, the same thing happened to me yesterday. Today I'm falling asleep. I can never fall asleep while taking that. No joke, zero energy."

"A week on this (10 mg once a day). I am 31 y/o and weigh 135 lb. It makes my body ache and decenter my sense of balance slightly (especially when sitting for long periods). I thrash in my sleep. I have to force myself to eat. Exhausted at the end of the day, leading to a messier living space. I sweat more, and I foresee skin problems (from past experience with stimulants). It does have a time-compression effect where I am much less likely to waste time. So it is doing what it's supposed to. However, I still jump from subject to subject very erratically. True focus will require discipline training, and I hope this drug will help me achieve that."

"Had it prescribed for ADHD, but this really helps me stay alert with my fatigue. I have depression and feel so tired all the time. I’m always yawning and can’t even enjoy my time with friends, and I always want to go home after like 5 minutes. I feel dead inside, and my head feels cloudy and lightheaded, but when I take Adderall, I feel alive and like I can actually do things. I do not take it every day, this is NOT AN ANTIDEPRESSANT—though it can feel like it. This can make depression WORSE because it is a fast-acting drug, it does not build up in your system like a normal antidepressant. Once it wears off, it can make you reliant on it because it shortly increases dopamine and serotonin levels = motivation and feeling good, and then your body adjusts and relies on getting those hormones that way. I am also taking Fluvoxamine for my depression, anxiety, OCD to balance it out. My doctor increased my dose for Fluvoxamine to 200 mg to battle the increased depression from the Adderall."

"I was prescribed Mydayis off-label for alternating insomnia/hypersomnia. I now know the insomnia is the result of a Circadian Rhythm Disorder (CRD). When I follow my natural pattern, I don’t experience insomnia often. However, the hypersomnia remains. I was given Mydayis after titrating through 5 stimulants in 6 months. Genetic testing revealed I have polymorphisms that cause me to hypermetabolize most stimulants. Mydayis is processed differently, so it is more effective. Even the 50 mg is not as much of a boost as I'd hoped for, but it’s definitely an improvement. I do have to be careful about when I take it, as it lasts so long that it can shift my sleep cycle forward. With a CRD, I have to fight to keep my cycle stable. I’d like a version of Mydayis that was stronger with a shorter duration. Pharmaceutical companies are missing an opportunity by not pursuing these meds to treat sleep disorders."

"30 mg N Amphet Salts. Unsure of the manufacturer. All I know is it is giving me headaches, nausea, and major constipation. I highly recommend a probiotic and definitely not a cheap one. I've been taking regular Adderall for many years, or at least I thought. The big pharmacy I go to in Southeast Michigan always gives me the name brand regardless of if I was using my primary or secondary insurance plan, yet at other stores there are these off brands and amphetamine salts. Part of me wants to turn a blind eye and the other wants to find out why some people have real and others generic."
