Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "This month I received an RX that was half Lannett half Teva due to the shortage. I tried to not mix the brands when dosing. Let me say the difference between these two manufacturers is shocking. Lannett, not only entirely ineffective, is actually just down right harmful. My chest hurts on it, crazy headaches, pounding heart, nausea, I am tired, and VERY little focus which is only in the immediate beginning. Teva however, works like it’s supposed to, and I don’t feel like I’m literally dying."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "Judging from the reviews I’m clearly not the only one who has had a HORRIBLE experience with the manufacturer “Lannett”. Please anyone having issues with them fill out a complaint form to the fda Medwatch! They need to know how badly it is affecting people! Unbelievable !!!"

For Fatigue "I have dealt with depression, on and off, for most of my life. I have depression that is heavily marked by fatigue and is very resistant to SSRI's. In fact, SSRI's have never done anything at all for me. Upon switching to an every other day dose of 30mg/day of Dextroamphetamine, I found the depression subsided immediately. I was no longer fatigued at all. Of course, I have more energy on the days I take the medication, but I don't feel overly tired at all on the other days either. On this medication I am able to think clearly and deal with the normal stresses of life. I do not recommend eating before, or for several hours after, taking this. I would highly recommend it for anyone who has little to no success with SSRI's or a lot of fatigue."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "The Teva that I normally take is on back order. Tried Epic brand. Immediately started feeling dizzy and headache started. Pulse is racing, resting pulse is 67 and my current resting is 94. Feel like I am having an out of body experience also paranoid. When talking I felt like I was talking really fast, but my daughter said I was actually talking slowly. Everyone keeps looking at me really weird. My eyes are blinking uncontrollably. I keep crying for no reason. I hope this medication wears off very very soon. Dry mouth, which is normal, but this was almost immediate and severe. My arm occassionally twitches and I seem to now be shivering. If I took this brand normally I would never want to take amphetamine/dextroamphetamine again."

Mydayis (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "To all the people saying this is rubbish and to use adderall XR instead, this IS adderall XR. It's literally made by the same company and contains the same ingredients. It's just a triple layer release whereas adderall XR is double layer. If you do not feel the effects of mydayis but do feel adderall XR, it's because of your own negative expectations and placebo. That's is all."

Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "Was placed Adderall XR 20mg once a day. The first month was fantastic. I could think. I had bounds of physical energy. My mood was elevated. I had problems starting with the second month. The positive effects were no longer there and the negative ones were enhanced. I did some research and found out it was an issue with the brand. Not all generics are the same despite what everyone is told. I got Actavis brand. I found out that not only are generics allowed to differ in potency by 60-120% (40 less potent than some or 20% more potent than some) but Actavis was allowed to use its own proprietary formulation. If you are put on Adderall XR or IR be cautious about what generic you get. Some work way better than others."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "Such an amazing contribution to the pharmaceutical world. So much better than its ugly step sisters, such as Ritalin and Vyvanse. Adderall steals the show every time. 30mg/day does the trick. Been on it for 12 years, I've taken personal breaks for tolerance. I've never had any type of "withdrawal" or "come downs" at the end of the day. This drug has the ability to put me to sleep when I take it, honestly; and that's because my dissociation (caused by my ADHD) causes my anxiety to skyrocket. But when I take my adderall, I am able to focus on reality, making my anxiety disappear for a few hours. Calms me down. Relief is a blessing."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "When I was in grade school I had a real hard time learning. I could not pay attention in class. My mind was always wandering. I was always daydreaming and looking out the windows, I could not retain any information. I was forgetful and bored. My grades were always C's and D's no matter how hard I tried. I was always fidgety, had a hard time sitting still, always twirling my hair or shaking my legs or feet. I hated school, I felt so dumb. As I got into high school I was so far behind I gave up trying. When I started driving I would go through red lights, stop signs etc. I was just daydreaming all the time. I kept losing my car keys, my glasses, forgetting where I put them. I am out of space, but Adderal saved my life! I am 59. No side effects"

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) "I've been taking Adderall for several years and have never experienced the problems I've recently had in obtaining the medication. I've tried several generic brands (Alvogen Inc., Sunrise Pharmacy, Mallinckrodt, and others), and all the generics have little to no effect on alleviating symptoms. Teva and Sandoz brands are definitely the most effective. Hope this shortage ends soon!"

For ADHD "Recently changed pharmacies and didn't realize that there can be quite a difference between generics. For 4 years I’ve taken adderall 2x day, 10 mg. Never any problems until I switched pharmacies to save $. Elite Pharma is who makes this new one and it is NOT GOOD. I am lethargic, unable to focus, quite sleepy. It’s as if I haven’t even taken anything. Incredibly frustrating as I am not even half way through this months supply."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I have been taking it for several years. There was a time about a year ago when all the Pharmacies could not get any and I went about a month without. Being a Service Advisor, I deal with a lot of numbers (Vin, License Plates, etc.). After a few days without, I started reversing a lot of the numbers. I would see the correct order but would say out loud or write down a reversed version. I had to go slower and double check what I had written. A positive side effect is it gets me off the couch on the day(s) I have off and motivates me to get stuff done around the house that needs to be done. It kept me up at night at first, but after awhile, I learned not to take it too late in the day. I would recommend it to anyone who has ADHD. "

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I finally got diagnosed when I was 40. I was in college and just couldn't focus or comprehend my classes. I thought there was something wrong my head. I've been abused for a very long time. I went to my counsellor and suggested I get tested for ADHD. I was very relieved it wasn't head problems. I was diagnosed with ADHD. I suffered 40 years with all the symptoms but never thought about ADHD. When I was put on Adderall I couldn't believe the difference. My grade point was 3.67. I was very proud of myself. I've been taking it ever since. 30mg twice a day. People can tell when I'm not on it, big difference. My insurance didn't cover it. So I was paying over $200 My insurance started paying last yr. THANK YOU FOR READING MY STORY."

Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I am 25 years old. Over the last 3 years I have pretty muched ruined most of my relationships involving my career and my personal life. The most common symptoms I experience are: Difficulty concentrating and staying on task, caprishious behavior/severe mood swings, impulsive behavior/making irrational decisions that significantly impact my future, depression, and anxiety. I had a great job, and I had lots of friends. Unfortunately, difficult events took place that caused my emotional health to start spiraling out of control. I became diagnosed with ADD/ADHD in April 2013. Started Addrerall 30mg XR. It really helped me feel more motivated, less depressed, and I felt I could concentrate much better. I definitely recommend this medication!"

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I have no problem with generic Adderall. I get 60 30mg tablets by Alvogen and it works fine for me. I used to get the Teva brand but times are rough, as we all know. I'm very grateful for this medication because of my Tourette Syndrome and ADHD. It makes life hard to function, so I praise this medication for helping my tics and verbal stutters. It's incredible what Adderall can do when taken properly."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "Been on Adderall for 5 years now, 15mg twice daily. Started on 10mg 2x daily but the lower doses are associated with aggressive behaviors. Is it a flawless savior? Do I still struggle at times with ADHD? Absolutely! Medications, i.e. insulin, all have side effects. As a patient, you must ask yourself if the side effects outweigh the benefits. I refused treatment until age 32 which has been beneficial to my physical health. If you are at the mercy of ADHD, I strongly advise you to use some of the new apps with or without meds. Daily for the 1st 3 weeks is simply miraculous. Lastly, the world or your coworkers don't need to know about your diagnosis. ADHD is still stigmatized as a disorder that only stupid people have. My 1st RN job I was viciously bullied once word got out about my ADHD!! By my fellow RNs!! Now I make more than a Nurse Practitioner!! #Strength"

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "Adderall saved me. I went back to college and was finally able to start passing school, my depression started getting better, my mood has become more stabilized, and I can enjoy things without getting "ADD freeze" as I like to call it. I started getting better at my job too. I love this medication! Thank goodness for adderall!"

For ADHD "I’m a doctor with ADHD. I’ve been on the generics to cut costs during tough times but I insist on the name brand adderall. No only is it smoother it lasts longer and helps even more than the generics. It’s a shame that cost is a bearing on necessary prescriptions and that generic are so much weaker and poorer quality. Generic adderall needs to step it up they have quality issues and their recipe is somehow flawed."

Mydayis (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I have suffered my entire life with ADD. For a while Adderal helped. Then as I turned 49 it seemed to make me more anxious, irritable, short tempered, and I had No patience for stupidity! Upon trying the Mydayis, I was immediately impressed. I was finishing projects. Getting things done right! Able to focus for longer durations of time. Long enough to complete tasks at hand. I feel so much better."

Adderall XR (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "Went from 70mg Vyvanse to 25mg Adderall XR and I'll just say the Vyvanse was not effective for studying or focus, it made me confused, made me think too much and made me feel kind of bad. I switched to Adderall XR and I was immediately able to concentrate and focus, I was not confused anymore either. I am on 25mg now but I think 30mg may work just a little bit better, overall Adderall XR is the best thing I've ever taken for my ADHD! I also do not feel overstimulated or high from it which is a big plus because I'm a recovering opiate addict and I don't need something that is gonna make me feel like I need more."

For Fatigue "I have been through about all anti-depressants, mood stabilizers, and anti-psychotics for my severe treatment-resistant depression and this medicineamphetamine/dextroamphetamine has saved me. Honestly, I have horrible anxiety as well. I have Chronic PTSD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. This medicine calms my nerves as well. I can actually take naps during the day now when I need to instead of not being able to rest. It helps my impulsiveness from my Bipolar Disorder that is included in my Schizoaffective diagnosis. I may have to deal with the hallucinations but this medicine is the only medicine that works for me in the most positive way. For me, it has way less severe side effects than any medicine I have tried. It mainly helps with my energy levels which helps my depression because I feel more useful I also am more social which helps my confidence. The only thing I struggle with is the lack of appetite and it seems like water goes right through me. But, It is definitely a life saver for me. <3"

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I floated through high school, got honors and graduated a year early. Did the same through a state college, even though I was accepted to Ivy leagues with scholarships. I chose the easy route as I hated books, and never read anything, despite being able to pass with a bachelors in college and honors in HS just on auditory lecture learning, I was scared to challenge myself. Went to nursing school 10 years ago and failed out. Then I tried again on Adderall - Out of a class of 140, I'm #1. Everything I read I absorb. I can NOW focus. Everything's wired tight and each day I am limitless on what I can learn. I feel music. I'm in touch with everything. I thank everyday I'm on it."

Mydayis (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I tried Mydayis as a substitute during the Adderal shortage as it has become nearly impossible to refill my medication without stress and a complete meltdown lasting for days. I went from 60 mg of Adderal, or combined type ADHD, to 50 mg of Mydayis. I have never taken a more ineffective ADHD medication. I was so disappointed. I thought this would be a good fit because Adderal XR and the other Adderal work wonders for me. I could tell no difference between not taking my medication and taking Mydayis. The FDA and DEA need to address the Adderal shortage by making more Adderal because these other substances are utterly ineffective at treating ADHD."

Mydayis (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I started on Vyvanse about 10 years ago. Eventually was taking 70mg in morning and 50mg in afternoon. I have a pretty hard time with tolerance issues which led me to abuse the vyvanse. This led me to switch to Adderall IR twice daily. Still didn’t fix the problem. Ask my psych about Mydayis and I can tell you it has an effect all day (definitely more then Adderall XR & Vyvanse) it gives you a more calming feeling while adderall caused anxiety & I felt I needed valium. My psychiatrist doesn’t mess around and since I’ve been taking amphetimines for years, he put me right on the highest dose 50mg. So far so good..."

Adderall (amphetamine / dextroamphetamine) for Narcolepsy "Adderall works exceptionally well for me with one caveat. Don't believe for one bit that all generics are the same. Before filling your script call around and find out which brands the pharmacies carry. If it's Mallinckrodt find another pharmacy to fill at. I can take any brand of Adderall and it works for me without many side effects EXCEPT Mallinckrodt. I don't know what they do to their pills but they make me sick. They give me a severe headache, extreme nausea and abdominal pain. If you look online you will see that other people report the same. So shop around for something other than Mallinckrodt. Good luck."
