For Head Injury "I have a head injury and with any cognitive task I would get blurred vision, headaches, fatigue, fog. After about two weeks on amantadine those symptoms have let up a lot when I do cognitive tasks. Hasn’t helped cognition a bit. But the neuro fatigue it has."

For Fatigue "I been on amantadine 2 times a day for 5 years. In the last year I started getting pain in my right shoulder and left side after I take the amantadine. I have had all kind of test ran and everything is normal. I am in the process of tapering off the medication. Hopefully the symptoms will stop when I am completely off the medication. Wonder if anyone else has experienced this?"

For Fatigue "I have Long-COVID and was placed on Amantadine by my Neuro-Ophthalmologist for the crippling fatigue and situational depression. It took a month to start feeling less fatigue. After 6 months, I have started to be much improved. Able to resume Activities of Daily Living and started to enjoy my life again."

For Extrapyramidal Reaction "My son was given Abilify which caused tarkive dyskinesia. He was then given amantadine for the movements. It seems to be working well but he is now having other problems; peeling on his hands intermittent redness and rashes."

Gocovri (amantadine) for Parkinson's Disease "Gorcovi seemed to be better at controlling dyskinesia than Amantadine. There was less abdominal cramping in the morning. I was taking the 68.5 mg capsule which is the lowest dose before bedtime. However Gorcovi is very expensive. My co-pay was close to $450 per month. I felt the difference in comparing the two medications' ability to control the dyskinesia was not sufficient enough to warrant the excessive cost of Gorcovi."

For Head Injury "Have noticed that amantadine really affects my sleep. I can’t stay asleep for long and want to be up and doing something. It does seem to have helped the brain fog a bit and made me more alert. I don’t like the sleeping issue or the fact you need to wean off it if you have been taking this for a long period of time."

Gocovri (amantadine) for Parkinson's Disease "Gocovri has reduced the length of time of my dyskinesia and reduced the severity as well. I am forced to go off of it due to the cost. Seems like the cost could be reduced to have more users. I can't afford $900 per month and then the donut hole! Back to Amantadine IR."

For Extrapyramidal Reaction "I take an antipsychotic and had Parkinson's-like symptoms from that. The doctor put me on amantadine, and it seemed to help a little bit at first, but now I'm on a very high dose and I'm still having those symptoms. The one good thing I will say about this medication is that it didn't give me any side effects."

For ADHD "I started taking this to treat extrapyramidal side effects caused by Latuda but it ended up also treating my ADHD. I have gone off Adderall completely."
