Eylea (aflibercept) "I have used Eylea every 14 weeks in my left eye for macular dystrophy. I have had no issues at all. The shot just feels like pressure. Afterward, my eyes are blurry and a bit dry so I use my eye drops. I have some distortion but it has kept me stable for over 5 years now."

Eylea (aflibercept) for Macular Edema "I started to take Eylea injection for AMD. One injection every 2 weeks for 3 doses. Then my doctor advised me to take it in a regimen to increase duration, with 2 weeks interval between each injection (i.e. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 weeks). Every time, I did OCT and macula was dry. Now I am continuing every 12 weeks and thank God, vision is OK."

Eylea (aflibercept) "After most injections, I have swollen eyelids, watery eyes, and pain when blinking. It feels like there's glass in my eye. I can experience all or some of these symptoms, and sometimes they are milder. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? Flushing after the injection has definitely helped a lot."

Eylea (aflibercept) for Macular Degeneration "My personal experience has been more positive than negative. The initial injection was conducted by doctors certified for retina treatment. Great care was given to minimize the possibility of infection. I have received 6 separate injections spaced at 6-week intervals. I received treatment at the Roudebush Veterans Administration Medical Center in Indianapolis. It takes a little while to not get nervous about receiving an eye injection. The doctors who gave me treatment were monitored by the lead doctor in the Retina Clinic. Overall, I have positive reviews for my experience. I hope that other drugs may be available in the future to treat AMD and allow longer periods of time between injections."
