Reviews for Percocet 10/325 to treat Chronic Pain

"At first I loved it - felt like Superman I could juggle my four kids and my household with one arm tied behind my back. Then it started - the need to pop a pill to function. No longer Superman instead I had become an addict I believe of the worst kind. Worse than heroin worse than anything you could ever imagine I didn’t wanna face the day and juggling? I couldn’t even walk if I didn’t have any pills. My advice to anyone who takes a pain killer especially this one... STOP!!!!!!! Or you just gave permission for oxycodone to dictate your life"

"This is a comment directed at one specific manufacture, Camber Pharma. 31722 I have been on this strength medication for a couple of years and manage fairly well until my insurance insisted this manufacture is all they will allow. I now get headaches and upset stomach and do not feel it is as effective for the pain as Percocet in non-generic form. This formula just does not work and is not worth the side effects."

"Absolute junk. Camber T194 has given me very little pain relief and lots of severe headaches, nausea and overall sick feeling. I took a little time and contacted the FDA and filled out a complaint at their website. I received 120 pills. I noticed different sized pills, longer, shorter, fatter and thinner. Also noticed different colors...with "specs" in some. This pill needs to be removed from Pharmacy's. Where are Mallinckrodt products?? Why the shortage? Must be a lot of money changing hands...or this Generic would be banned !"

"This isn't the first site I've researched for answers to my recent experience with Camber mfg. Percocet Rx my pharmacy switched to late Jan 2018. I'd say be on notice! My pharmacy switched me to Camber late Jan.2018. I thought maybe aggravation to my pain? but seemed like more pain & sooner. I had been stable for years prior. Now 2nd full refill oh my goodness I still had more pain but crazy symptoms I haven't had for years plus headaches, stiffness not the usual, extreme nausea , feels like throat/esophagus swollen. One day foggy, can't think at all another feel like I'm on speed, sometimes just weird, not like me ! I was ok before... with NO side effects at all..Now today open bottle & horrible smell like paint thinner & rot. I'm freaking out this Rx is unbearable! I'm thinking of sending to an independent lab to get tested. This smell is serious.. Are they skimming the active ingredient...going to black markets?! This is serious & harming legitimate patients."

"Ended up trying these new Camber 10/325 as my usual pharmacy switched manufacturers without my knowing, and needless to say, here I am writing a review or should I say warning? I have been on long term pain meds for a completely disintegrating spine for 10 years now and have always had decent pain control by mixing OxyContin with Percocet however I recently have experienced the craziest reaction in all of my 10 years. First the taste of these things are very odd, almost perfume like. I didn’t think much about it until I lost all pain control, became debilitatingly weak, headaches, nausea, bone-racking pain, pouring sweat 24-7, feeling like I wanted to jump out of my skin, and basically felt like I had a bad bad case of the flu on top of it all. THE WORST. Something is really wrong with these pills and I submitted a complaint on FDA Medwatch. I find it very interesting that other people have been experiencing the same."

"I have taken Percocet 10/325 for a couple of years now, after I have had 2 back surgeries. All I can say is, the days I go without the medication I am unable to do a thing. I am totally worthless. I can barely walk, and I can't stand up straight. I am hunched over like I am 100 years old. The pain all comes back in my back and leg. I am so miserable for at least a week before I can get a refill on my meds. I truly wish my doctor would understand. Otherwise, the medication works great for my pain when I have it"

"This medication has improved my lifestyle more than I can express!! Other than developing a degree of tolerance to this medication it has helped me get off my butt and become active again! As a ‘Nam Vet I’ve had my share of injuries including 7 hip surgeries. On my request my doctors will change this medication occasionally to dialude so my body can “regroup”, helping the oxycodone work better after a month! I caution anyone taking this medication to be cautious of people visiting you because I was shocked at the degree some will go to to gain access to this! People constantly called me with various injuries wanting me to “loan “ them a few! Hope this was helpful for true chronic pain patients! God bless! ✌️"

"I’ve had had back pain since my sophomore year in high school. It wasn’t until around 19years old when it became crippling. I could not stand, walk or lay down. Sit or even do anything without almost crying in pain. Tried everything from a chiropractor to steroidal medicines. Tried Baclofen and Gabapentin. Even 5MG Percocets which did little. It wasn’t until my doc suggested to up it up a little more till it really helped! It gets a bad rep because of people who abuse them but if you TAKE THEM AS PRESCRIBED and only when you really need it you will not have any issues. This drug has saved my life. I can sleep comfortably. I can walk and move around like I haven’t in years. I am very satisfied with this drug. Work perfect for chronic back pain"

"After being on for 10 years or more I find now even my pain management doctor as to cut my meds thanks to the new FDA guide lines ,the FDA is so worried about overdose on opoiods because other people has abused them but have forgot about those who do need pain meds. I've heard it all in the last three months from my doctor I even had to change 3 of my other medications because I can't be on them if I am taking pain meds To me ever since that most states made Marijuana legal the FDA as turned to people taking pain meds guess they can't control the other un legal stuff out their so they try and put the focus on pain meds even though the FDA says that we would not take pain meds away from Those who need it .. guess what FDA you have !!!! get your facts FDA"

"I am 51. I have scoliosis, spondo grade 3 (forward spine shift), 11 protruding disk, RA, severe stenosis and more. You could not tell by looking at me. I stay busy all day. I can barely walk when I get up in the morning or resting, when I do. I take 10/325 six times daily. This makes my life so much better!! My doc wanted me on morphine in between but insurance would not pay. I still have pain, but so thankful it is less with this med!! I used to take hydrocodone, it made me so very sick."

"Generic drugs can be produced by several different pharmaceutical manufacturers and more than likely, if you look up the ingredients from each one, you will find that they all use different binders/fillers and such. Because of this, your experience with these drugs may include nausea, nervousness, upset stomach, etc. so my suggestion is that if you take a generic drug and are having problems or it isn't "doing what it's supposed to do" you may want to ask your pharmacist to change suppliers for you. In regard to generic Percocet, I had this problem. Yes, they did relieve my pain but some did it better than others and several made me 'nervous' and gave me an upset stomach. Most pharmacist's are aware of this difference."

"My medicine is not as effective since they changed brands. RP/10-325 now the pills are even smaller from my last script. What is going on . I have horrible pain and the medicine doesn't work as well."

"I think it's ridiculous that uncle Sam would attempt to limit the use of this drug simply because people MAY form an addiction to it. Percocet is really a life saver because it's probably the only drug available to control chronic pain for those that suffer through it. It's like too many things these days where people will figure out a way to abuse something and then the powers that be limit it or completely outlaw it's manufacture and use for those that rely so heavily on it. Why should the innocent suffer simply because another person intentionally puts something in their bodies that isn't good for them?"

"I was diagnosed with a bulging disc that radiates to my tailbone. I have Peripheral neuropathy in my feet and toes as well as slight RLS. The issue I came across is it is very hard to convince doctors of the pain involved with this type of disease. My 1st doc visit I was given Tylenol 3 (baby aspirin for neuropathy), then moved up to Norco 7.5 2x/day, still not enough, then moved up to Norco 10's 2x/day and was still not enough. All this took 8 months, 8 months of constant pain. I found the Norco side effect of difficulties with being able to finish during sex and the loss of feeling was not pleasant. So my doctor switched me to Percocet 10/325. Wow, what a difference. This medication was a life saver for me. I have my life back."

"I have had Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) for about 2 years now in my leg after 3 Surgeries to repair my achilles tendon and peroneus brevis tendon and a DVT. I take percocet 10, tramadol and baclofen. The med is a lifesaver. I am a nurse and work 12 hour shifts, lots of walking and standing. Not sure I could work without it. I'm only 43. So thankful that I was prescribed this."

"I am 68. I have pain in my back and legs every day which is worsened by standing or walking, so I sit almost all the time in my recliner. I go to a pain clinic and have tried Morphine, Fentanyl, and Dilaudid. None of these helped. In fact, at higher dosages they actually made the pain unbearable. Percocet is the only med that works for me, and when I first took it I felt like it was a miracle. I am prescribed Percocet 5x a day, Tizadine for spasms and Tramadol for breakthrough pain. I can actually garden outside again and have once again become active. I jjust hope I don't develop a tolerance because the doctor said this is as high as I can go, and I don't know where else I could turn. Percocet has truly given me my life back!"

"I have chronic pain and for the last 10 years have tried all pain meds and the ONLY one that works is 10MG percs. I take about 5 a day and I can work full time and live my life as it lowers the pain to about a 5. I just pray that they leave PM doctors alone with this new push to get rid of opiates. I need them!"

"I've had chronic cluster headaches for 40 years. I have tried just about every medication recommended for headaches. The only thing that works is some type of narcotic pain medication even though the use of these for headaches is definitely not recommended. But, for me that's the only thing that works. I'd rate this as a 10 for that purpose. I've been taking it for other pain the past three months; a badly broken lower leg and four broken ribs that happened as the leg was almost healed. This drug worked very for the leg, but not nearly as well for the ribs. I'd rate it as a 9 for the leg, but only a 5 or 6 for the ribs. I can immobilize the leg fairly well, but there's no way to do that with the ribs."

"I have a painful connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and have been having pain for 6 years. My pain has been rapidly getting worse for several months to the point where I am unable to work, take care of my home, or take care of myself. I was prescribed this medication after being hospitalized for severe pain so bad I was screaming, crying, thrashing around, vomiting and losing consciousness. IV dilaudid got the worst pain under control, and 2 percocet USUALLY prevents my pain from getting that bad, but not always. I find that when I take it with a muscle relaxer called tizanadine, it works a bit better. It helps my level 7-9 pain, but for level 10 I still have to go to the ER sometimes. But it's still a good drug."

"This has been a miracle drug for me. I had a severe knee fracture, followed by OA. The pain can be unreal! This medicine allows me to work, do my household chores, well..to have a life again! When severe flare up's begin, it lowers my pain to a 2, seriously without it, I would be spending most of my time on the couch. It has truly been a blessing for me giving me my life back."
