Acetaminophen / hydrocodone for Pain "This combination of Hydrocodone/acetaminophen is the best at relieving pain. I have tried Vicodin, Lortab, Lorcet, Vocoprofen, Vicodin HP, and just about every different combination, and Norco works the best by far. It relieves my pain in all parts of my body, and is also great for headaches, terrible back pain, and abdominal cramping. This drug is much less addicting and has fewer episodes of nausea/vomiting."

Acetaminophen / hydrocodone for Pain "When they switched me to Norco, I had to deal with more pain. The medication is half as effective and makes me sick to my stomach many times. The government doesn't care about the people with real pain, more concerned with the drug addicts (which more people are becoming because they can't get the pain relief they need.)"

For Pain "I've been on generic Norco acetaminophen/hydrocodone 10/325 Watson for many years, same dose and amount a day. Anyone gone to a compound pharmacy to recreate the meds that work? Since Teva bought Actavis and discontinued this med, I've been on Mallinckrodt and Ameal. Mallinckrodt is awful, but Ameal (sp?) didn't work as well as Watson, but side effects were far less than Mallinckrodt. Now I'm having nausea, pain, sleeping, and normally I didn't have any side effects from Watson. How, since these meds are supposedly dangerous, are the government driving out safe American-made meds overseas, meds that are subpar and no quality? We have to suffer and can't ask for the right quality safe meds."

For Back Pain "I made the mistake of filling my script at CVS (as opposed to Walgreens, they were out of it, not my regular Walgreens) and ended up with a LUPIN brand of acetaminophen/hydrocodone. Watson worked best, but they are well and truly gone. So, after having taken 1/2 of my 7.5 mg (which is typical, I manage this way throughout the day), I thought I was coming down with something, feeling nauseated, severe headache, hot/cold sweat, and didn’t associate this with using a different brand. My blood pressure was going up and down. I haven’t had a severe adverse reaction from anything before and have been taking since 2008. Anyone else???? Am I having withdrawals?"

For Back Pain "I've been reading a lot of people complaining about the Norco 10/325 M367, the Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals brand. I totally agree with what everyone is saying about this manufacturer and how these pills make me feel sick to my stomach and do not work nearly as well as Watson brand. I've asked the pharmacist at Walgreens why they have stopped selling Watsons, and I've been told they are having a hard time getting them into stock. Apparently, I'm not the only one complaining to the pharmacy about this issue. I'm also hoping to switch and get away from these bogus M367 pills. After four back surgeries and a spinal fusion, I'm tired of being in pain from subpar medication and the government not looking into what kind of fillers and dosage issues. Good luck to all looking for Watson brand."

For Back Pain "I came here looking for an answer as to why my pain may have escalated. I noticed a strikingly different effect to these new acetaminophen with hydrocodone tablets. I'm feeling nauseated all the time. I've heard that some opioid manufacturers are changing the excipient, so I figure that is what happened here. I plan to ask my pharmacist. I'm not withdrawing, but my pain is awful lately, and I'm noticing a huge change. These don't seem very effective."

Acetaminophen / hydrocodone for Back Pain "I have a herniated disc, osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, bone spurs, and more. I have been taking Norco 10/325 for 3 months now and have surgery coming up in June: spinal fusion and laminectomy of lumbar L4 L5. Without this medication, I would not be able to get out of bed most of my days and am very thankful to have somewhat of a quality of life. I only take the entire 10 occasionally and break them in half to manage my pain. I do occasionally get light-headed and nauseated, but I have found that I can avoid this by eating small meals throughout the day and drinking lots of water."

Acetaminophen / hydrocodone for Pain "Works better than 5 mg oxycodone. I do not feel that the 5/325 Norco works at all, but the 10/325 does help. Some people can and will get an upset stomach when taking it. All you have to do is ask for some nausea medication to go with it. I think it is a bit ridiculous that it is so hard to get, especially when you are in extreme pain. I honestly feel that it helps with my fibromyalgia pain as well, not fully, but it does help."

For Back Pain "On this drug for 15 years for nerve damage. No problems until I received a fill with Mallinckrodt. Little relief, lots of side effects. Found 'better' brands-these brands are just not the same as in the past (where did THEY go??), but at least they helped. Anytime something helps, it disappears at some point(?). Now I got a fill with Amneal-I hadn't tried those. (I NEVER paid attention to 'brands' until Mallinckrodt! Any change before was seamless!!) Amneal has 0 pain-relieving properties! Nothing but side effects in a bottle! Cannot take these for another 30 days! Nausea, sweating, HEADACHES-side effects++! What works-anyone??? I have NEVER lost a script, lost my meds, sold my meds, had my meds stolen, and I am writing this, so obviously I haven't OD'd!!! Does it matter? Apparently not. Living like this is NO life."

For Back Pain "Was given Rhodes Pha brand of acetaminophen with hydrocodone and doesn't take pain away but makes me tired and nauseated. My stomach hurts, head hurts, feel like the pill is garbage. Thank God I didn't pay for it. I've been through a lot of makers, and this is the newest and no good brand. Yes, name makes a difference. Kaiser has the best to my knowledge. It's not in your head, and all pills are not the same. If they were, they'd have one maker. And I get 10/325, just not the same. It's no wonder so many overdoses occur, these new pills don't work anymore."

For Pain "Saw slipped during surgery, cutting a 3 mm gash in the spinal cord. Dr. didn’t catch it. All my spinal fluid began leaking into the body cavity. Repair surgery (pulling surgical glue apart layer by layer to access the spinal cord cut) left me with severe nerve damage. For the last 17 years, I’ve been disabled. No surgeon sees anything to “fix,” so I’ve relied upon a drug protocol which includes hydrocodone. Originally on oxycodone, fentanyl, sedated 23 out of 24 hours, took 2 years to walk more than 5 steps. Something has definitely changed with hydrocodone. I am getting little relief. The only manufacturer that doesn’t make me projectile vomit for 2 hours from just 1 pill has been Qualitest from years ago (now owned by PAR but not nearly as effective). Mallinckrodt, Aurobindo, Aurolife is garbage. Drugs.com won’t allow me to put in a link to report inferior drugs, but go to: Google 'How to Report Product Problems and Complaints to the FDA' and you can file a report online."

For Pain "I have interstitial cystitis, bladder ulcers, self-cath, chronic bladder and kidney infections with high fevers, and 27 surgeries. This drug I have been on for 12 years, 10/325. I was on Watson for years. That helped. Then was switched to M367 pills, which gave me severe hives and nausea. Left me in pain. My urologist didn't want to write my prescription because of the DEA. I went to pain management. My doctor, luckily, is great. He put me on the fentanyl patch with the Norco. The patch worked but it was too strong. I am on time-release Nucynta. They are a joke. I have been taking the Norco from Amneal for years and they helped me. Now I picked up my new prescription and I got Lupin. They are horrible. Headache, nauseated all the time, and severe dry mouth. Worst is the pain I am in. I haven't left my bed in 4 days. With Amneal, I could do life. I called every pharmacy and they all carry that M367 brand. My pharmacist admitted they are terrible. CVS was so rude. They accused me of drug shopping. I have never failed a pill count or drug test in ten years. I am stuck with these horrible fake pills for 30 days."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have been taking Vicodin 5/500 for the past four years for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. I tried Norco 5/325 when I had my knee replacement, and it made me drowsy with a brain fog and nauseated. I asked my surgeon to give me Vicodin, and he insisted that it was all the same. I continued to try the Norco and just did not like it, so I called my primary care physician, and she put me back on the Vicodin. What a relief. Vicodin really helps my pain."

Acetaminophen / hydrocodone for Pain "Norco replaced the TRIS brand Hydrocodone 10/325 at Walgreens recently. It is terrible!!! Didn't reduce pain like the TRIS 10/325 did, and it caused me a terrible headache followed by nausea. Tried taking them for 3 days and flushed them down the toilet. Horrible product - Walgreens needs to get the TRIS manufactured product back ASAP!!!"

For Back Pain "This is the only medication that I can take, it helps my pain. I have to be very careful with it because it makes me quite nauseous, so I only take half pills and not very much at all. The biggest problem is that nobody will prescribe it. It really sucks that a few bad people out there who abuse drugs have made it so you can't get the pain medication that you need. I can't take Advil, I can't take steroids, I can't take any of the others: Tramadol or Tylenol 3, it's ridiculous."

For Pain "I have taken Lortab for chronic pain for many years and had to start using CVS for my medicines and used Walgreens previously but never got sick from the Lortabs until now and have been so sick taking it. It has gotten hung up in my throat and made my stomach have belches and nauseated. Novel Laboratories is who makes the Kieran for CVS. Just be aware they are different."

Acetaminophen / hydrocodone "I have pain from breast cancer and fibromyalgia. I was recently given generic Norco manufactured by Lupin. OMG, what is in these worthless pills?! They crumble in your mouth and do absolutely nothing. I took a second one about a half an hour later and was sick to my stomach and dizzy. I've never had this reaction from Watson, Qualitest, or Amneal. When I complained to CVS, I was told they just put the order in and buy whatever is available at the cheapest price. I'm a senior and feeling abandoned by the medical community. I will complain to the DEA and had the pain doctor put in my chart ineffectiveness. And then what?"

Acetaminophen / hydrocodone for Back Pain "When I got ran over by the 18-wheeler, tried everything. Chiropractor, physical therapy, tramadol, etc. Nothing stopped the pain. Lortab 7.5 is the only thing that works. Take 1/2 in the morning, 1/2 at lunch, and 1/2 in the evening. Just watch for dizziness, nausea, and I guess that's a side effect. I feel loopy and detached a little, but it's better than hurting all the time. Most definitely don't mix with booze, it made me sick as a dog. Also, watch your tolerance. One day, I tried to take a whole one and had to lay down. Just be mindful it hits everyone differently. Hope this helps."

For Pain "When brand Vicodin or Lortab became unavailable to my pharmacy, I was switched (by CVS) to the generic brand Mallinckrodt 5-300 mg white oval scored tablet. For me, this worked. No side effects whatsoever, just pain relief within 30-40 minutes lasting upwards of 5-6 hours. Even when taking 1/2 tablet, relief was always welcome. Now CVS has decided that LUPIN Pharmaceuticals will be their supplier for this medication. As of Tuesday, my new pills are the same dosage, the same frequency, but oh what a nightmare. 20-35 minutes in, a massive headache starts at the base of the skull, moving upwards to the crown of the head, dizziness accompanied by waves of nausea. As for pain relief, none, nothing. Norco and its generic by Actavis is another form of this medication that I had a terrible reaction to, hence, off to the “Med Drop” with those as well."

Acetaminophen / hydrocodone for Pain "In simple terms, Norco makes my stomach sick and does not relieve pain after total knee replacement, but the doctor is afraid to order any other stronger medicines because of all the bad press, so people in real pain have to suffer because of a few idiots who abuse drugs."

For Back Pain "I have taken 10/325 Norco for severe neck and spine injuries for over seven years. First, it was the yellow oblong pill. Next, it was the white oblong pill. Now, it's oval. I have experienced way more pain than usual since starting this almost a month ago. I have headaches, my ears are ringing, I am nauseous. I looked that pill up online and saw it was a hydrocodone 5/500, not a 10/325. Can they do that, legally? I realize there's a drug epidemic, but some of us do need the medication. Surgery is not an option for me."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I was started on hydrocodone with acetaminophen, one 325 from Watson Labs. During flares when aspirin or Aleve, Motrin, or Advil can’t help ease my flare pain, I’d take my Watson hydrocodone. It would ease me enough I could finally fall asleep, and no nausea. It helps me during the more than usual painful days. Watson Labs hydrocodone worked great for me. Over a year ago, my pharmacy changed brands, and I’ve not had a painless time since…only nausea and no relief! Why? Can we request or demand the brand that actually helps?"

Acetaminophen / hydrocodone for Pain "The Vicodin 10/300 is my last resort for migraines when Frova/Imitrex does not work. I take it with Zofran because I am always nauseated with my migraines, and very rarely do I have to take another dose to get rid of the migraine. This medication has saved me from going to the ER numerous times."

For Back Pain "The generic manufacturer of acetaminophen/hydrocodone is making a lower dose of the hydrocodone and causing side effects I've never had before. I now get headaches (I have Cushing's syndrome and any headache is scary because I have a tumor on my pituitary gland). I am experiencing lower pain control and nausea. This medication does not work well for my conditions. This includes diabetic neuropathy, degenerative disc, sciatica nerve pain, and spinal stenosis. This medication does not relieve the pain like hydrocodone I have been prescribed before."
