Former AMA Chief to Be Joined by Doctors and Professionals from across the Country to Discuss Why Government-Controlled Public Option is Not the Proper Prescription

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul 16, 2009 - Dr. Donald J. Palmisano, spokesman for the Coalition to Protect Patients' Rights and former head of the American Medical Association, will be joined by doctors and other professionals from states across the country to hold a press conference at the National Press Club to discuss healthcare reform and the need to protect patients who are happy with their current health choices. Doctors will discuss how the government-controlled healthcare will lead to long waiting lines, substandard care, and to the slowing of medical discovery.
