Uses of Asthmanefrin Refill:

  • It is used to open the airways in lung diseases where spasm may cause breathing problems.

What do I need to tell my doctor BEFORE I take Asthmanefrin Refill?

  • If you have an allergy to epinephrine or any other part of Asthmanefrin Refill (EPINEPHrine (oral inhalation)).
  • If you are allergic to any drugs like this one, any other drugs, foods, or other substances. Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had, like rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
  • If you have taken certain drugs used for low mood (depression) like isocarboxazid, phenelzine, or tranylcypromine or drugs used for Parkinson's disease like selegiline or rasagiline in the last 14 days. Taking Asthmanefrin Refill (EPINEPHrine (oral inhalation)) within 14 days of those drugs can cause very bad high blood pressure.

  • If you are taking Asthmanefrin Refill (EPINEPHrine (oral inhalation)) and have high blood pressure, talk with your doctor before using OTC products that may raise blood pressure. These include cough or cold drugs, diet pills, stimulants, ibuprofen or like products, and some natural products or aids.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant. You will need to talk about the benefits and risks of using Asthmanefrin Refill (EPINEPHrine (oral inhalation)) while you are pregnant.
  • Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding. You will need to talk about any risks to your baby.

How is this medicine (Asthmanefrin Refill) best taken?

Use Asthmanefrin Refill (EPINEPHrine (oral inhalation)) as ordered by your doctor. Read all information given to you. Follow all instructions closely.

  • For breathing in only as a liquid (solution) by a special machine (nebulizer) into the lungs.
  • Follow how to use as you have been told by the doctor or read the package insert.
  • Do not use if the solution is cloudy, leaking, or has particles.
  • Do not use if solution changes color.

What do I do if I miss a dose?

  • If you take Asthmanefrin Refill (EPINEPHrine (oral inhalation)) on a regular basis, take a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
  • If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
  • Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
  • Many times Asthmanefrin Refill (EPINEPHrine (oral inhalation)) is taken on an as needed basis. Do not take more often than told by the doctor.

What are some side effects that I need to call my doctor about right away?

  • Signs of high blood pressure like very bad headache or dizziness, passing out, or change in eyesight.
  • Chest pain or pressure or a fast heartbeat.
  • A heartbeat that does not feel normal.
  • Weakness on 1 side of the body, trouble speaking or thinking, change in balance, drooping on one side of the face, or blurred eyesight.
  • Seizures.
  • Very nervous and excitable.

What are some other side effects of Asthmanefrin Refill?

All drugs may cause side effects. However, many people have no side effects or only have minor side effects. Call your doctor or get medical help if any of these side effects or any other side effects bother you or do not go away:

  • Feeling nervous and excitable.
  • Shakiness.
  • Not able to sleep.
