I'm wondering if my son will be able to return to work and school when stablized with zxyprexa. He was self-medicating with weed/alcohol for a couple of years and finally fell apart with psychosis, anger etc. He had many interpersonal issues with his bizarre thoughts and attitudes. What do you think? He is 24.
it sounds like he needs help... i know this might sound crazy... but it could be he is listening to his voices nd odd thoughts as being factual... some people believe it could even be demons like it says there is on Earth in the Bible, bu taking a strictly scientific view, some people would say its his brain chemistry thats off. But i believe that taking drugs opens your mind to demons nd throws your dopamine nd seratonin levels off causing your brain to hallucinate nd think wierd thoughts... its whatever you believe... but if he is speaking voices that he doesnt know what hes saying, it didnt come through his brain first, it might be time to get spriritual help...
I hope he will be able to get back to work. I think it is possible, but check with his doctor what the doctor thinks he is fit to do. And tell his doctor if you have dementia or Parkinson's in the family as, from memory, I think there may be an issue with these disorders and zyprexa.
