I used zyban 16 years ago and stopped smoked immediately. I'm now smoking again. Will zyban work a second time?
Yes, it will work a second time. I have used Wellbutrin or bupropion which is the generic and the same active ingredient to quit once four years ago and I went back to nicotine gum and it has helped me overcome it. It is imperative that you do take it the same time daily and consistently, when I have missed a dose or stopped the gum or dipping after a couple weeks on Wellbutrin I have forgotten to take the medicine in the morning a day or two in a row and end up chewing the gym again or dipping. It is best to stay on it for at least a few months to give your brain the time to heal from the chemical changes and dependency that nicotine and smoking or dipping causes. Best of luck!
