I recently have had anxiety really bad within the past two weeks. My heart right goes super high, blood pressure goes up, I'm light headed almost twenty four seven, a d I'm really tired. I also have had shock like feelings from the anxiety. Being a stay at home mom with three kids it causes a lot more stress and feeling of helplessness. I was recently prescribed this medication but I'm doubtful it will work. Anyone have these symptoms and do yu think it could work for me...
Hi Blue Eyes-
I think a lot of us on this site have had these symptoms, it is classic anxiety. The sooner you start your meds the sooner you will feel better. It takes time. I have heard good things about Zoloft helping anxiety.
Maybe you could seek counseling to help you manage the stress of an active family. Remember you are a good mom and courageous to seek help. You can post here as you take you journey to feeling better. Many compassionate people with life experience on this site.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
Zoloft is a good choice for what you describe as symptoms. Be prepared for some minor side effects in the beginning: headache, nausea, heightened anxiety which should subside in the first couple of weeks. It may take a month or so for you to fully realize if this medication is helping you are not so be patient.
